There are no opening windows and the room temperature couldn’t be set lower than 19.  I need a cool room to sleep in, so I had the worst nights sleep as the room was far too stuffy. Even though outside was at max 13 degrees, the room temperature reached  21 during the day. Was so bad we checked out early and found another hotel.
Aside from the room temperature, the room was ok and the bed comfy. If they could sort the temperature it would be an ok hotel.
Oh and they advertise early check in, but we arrived at 11am and were told they were short staffed so all rooms would be released at 3pm, they don’t release any they clean before 3pm early to enable early check in.

Avoid if you want to control the room temperature

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were very good, The location was excellent. However we could not eat our evening meals in the restaurant as they were out of chips and there was no other potato option to substitute. We had planned to eat there over the three nights of our stay as I was looking forward to the salad options. However as my husband only eats potato as a vegetable we had to look elsewhere to eat. We also had three bad night's sleep as the room was far too hot. The window was sealed closed and would not open and the air con did not get cool enough. It was like a sauna.

Having stayed at various other Premier Inns I thought this would be ideal whilst house hunting. Instead this was the worst I have stayed in and will not rush back. The room was tiered and the restaurant was poor especially breakfast.

Unfortunately we didn’t receive a good nights sleep at all on our stay. The bed was so uncomfortable, the springs dug in our side and it appeared there may of been mites or flees as myself and my partner have come away with bites on our legs. The room was far too hot as the air con didn’t kick out enough cold air, there were children running constantly up and down the corridor above us. To make matters even worse there was no WiFi at the hotel, we couldn’t even get a normal phone signal in our room. We were not told that there were any problems on arrival. We tried several times to speak to reception but each time we went down there was nobody present to raise these issues with. Then to top it off in the morning at breakfast, the coffee machine and toaster had broke, also I’m afraid the cooked breakfast was barely edible. So all in all it has been the worst experience of staying at a Premier Inn I’ve ever had.

No good night sleep here plus no WiFi

Lovely night in matlock  to see the jersey boys .premium inn was the perfect place to stay .taxi in cost 7.00  there and 7.00 back .we had a family of four the staff was most helpful
It was clean .and the bed so comfortable and big .there was tea coffee in the room .hairdryer and towels .good night sleep great breakfast .either full English or continental.definitely go back

We arrived, greeted by a lovely receptionist.  We were allocated a ground floor room (disabled), and was booked dinner.  Room was clean, did need extra pillows (but that is our choice).  Dinner was ok, normal standard, nothing special.  Extra tea/coffee/milk for room was easily obtainable.  Would stay again, if i was in the area. 

Good location, good night sleep

We choose to stay at Premier Inns when travelling because of the standard of the bedrooms, En Suite, general facilities and helpfulness of staff. 
The service here was not at a standard that we are used to. Firstly, the checking in process was quite slow. The automatic check in was not operational. There only seemed to be one member of staff on duty and they had an issue logging in to the computer system. A queue was forming behind us when we checked in around 3pm which is the regular check in time. 
The quality of the room was as expected and it had air conditioning. En suite was clean and towels are provided. Hand soap and body wash are provided. 
Breakfast - staff said we were not on their list for breakfast. This was disappointing as we had pre paid when we booked. There was no acknowledgement of the problem with the system when we checked in and offer of how to resolve it. We had proof if needed that we had paid for breakfast. There was no issue flagged when we checked out. 

Ok, but unlikely to stay here again

As with all Premier Inns - it does exactly what it says on the tin but the staff are what make it special.
When we arrived at 3pm there was a very long queue for check in but Robert gave everyone his undivided attention even when the technology was letting him down.
Robert served our evening meal and was there again overseeing breakfast service so Thank You Robert.
There was plenty of parking and a 15 minute walk into Matlock, the room was clean, the beds so comfortable, plenty of pillows, towels, tea, coffee etc with extra supplies in reception.

Excellent Customer Service

Stayed here recently for a wedding in town. Room was great and the bed was lovely. Breakfast was on the money in terms of what I like as was the evening meal we had on the night we arrived. What makes this place score so highly for me was the staff, nothing was too much of an effort and all staff were polite, happy and really helpful.

Great hotel and top staff

A pleasant stay at a well run hotel on the edge of town, with good staff, service, food and parking.  Free Wi-Fi was useful, as mobile signal was not great.  Quiet location, set back from main road, and about 20 mins walk into the town.  Will be staying again!
