We stayed here for 2 nights, found the staff to be very good, room was very clean and had everything we required. The restaurant had a very good selection on the menu. The nearby car park around the corner in pound lane was very reasonable at£6.10 for 24 hours, would not hesitate to stay here again

Meeting friends

This is not a typical Premier Inn - it's above a pub with a small number of rooms, creaky floors and a proper bathroom - it has the character Premier Inns usually lack. And right next to the bridge over the Thames - perfect.

A lovely hotel

Omg arrive after an easy journey from north london, I arrive, so pretty Marlow. Then meet Laura at reception. She is on the phone, no eye contact no communication,  she did not acknowledge my arrival.
After 25 minutes she beckons me over, no apology she slags off premier Inn, and I explain I wanted a room easily accessed. My mistake she gave me the most inaccessible room in the hotel.
Room was in the attic for 103 I expected more than a comfortable bed, the bathroom was from the 1970s, stark old.
I went out with my friend to Danesfield House 2 miles away. What a difference and the rooms are more expensive but the staff are phenomenal. I should  have stayed here.
A great shame and Laura , you aren't cut out to be a hotel receptionist  but  you have the personal skills in making a brilliant  GP receptionist.

Pay the difference stay at Danesfield!

We have stayed here before in November 2023 and the stay was good, but this time with my 88 year old mum the heater was faulty and woke us up in the night several times at 24 degrees each night we stayed even when we had apparently switched the heater off. The chap on reception was meant to have fixed it the first day we arrived. I was disappointed we were not offered some kind of recompense due to the lack of sleep on both nights.

Heating faulty

We stayed in Room 14 on the top floor. It's located up four flights of winding rickety stairs. The room was clean but in desperate need of re-decoration and modernisation.
The generic photos of the rooms on the website are totally misleading. If you study the Google Street scene images of the outside paintwork on the window frames..the inside  are no better and possibly worse. It's not a bad hotel and at the price we paid for a Sunday night almost a bargain for the location. But if you like modern comforts you'll be sadly disappointed.

Not what you'll expect to find.

Had a great stay here for a few nights. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable, extra pillows available, plenty of hot water. Good breakfast with hot food made to order. Would definitely choose to come here again. Thank you.

An enjoyable stay

A friend and I usually go to the hotel to have breakfast and a catch up at least once a month and have done for about a year now.  We have never had a bad experience and highly recommend the cooked breakfast if you are in the area.  The staff have always been friendly and efficient, Charlotte in particular who served us this time.  She is a credit to the business, always smiling and upbeat.  

Excellent service

Had a lovely stay,just one night all was fine with the premier Inn but we got a disturbed night sleep to the noise coming from the white burger van parked across the road . Very load talking so irritating.We did say something to reception but they can't do anything about it .

Great hotel and location but shame about the neighbour

We had a good stay, with it starting well at check in with Laura upgrading our room on hearing that it was our anniversary. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed and we got a great nights sleep. The room rate was also reasonable given the location.

Kevin & Jane’s Marlow stopover

Overnight stay bank holiday Sunday/Monday for a family celebration, hotel is in a good position at the end of the high street and close to the Thames pathway.
As some other reviews state, the building is definitely in need of redecoration inside and out , however you get what you always do with Premier inns- a large comfortable bed/pillows, clean bathroom/fluffy towels / toiletries and their standard furniture, albeit in smaller rooms than you might expect ,but inevitable in a very old building. 
Premier Inns should consider updating this hotel, as it’s in a great spot in an expensive area, and the decor lets it down. 
Same cannot be said for the staff, who are all great ,special shout out for Syed, who was very calm and helpful when confronted in Reception with 6 of us in a hurry to check into 4 rooms over a busy weekend.Thank you !
NB Premier Inns … sort out the paintwork ,carpets and windows to bring it up to the standard of your other hotels .
