A lovely guest house in a spectacularly scenic area.
The room is lovely (we stayed in the celtic room) with a very comfortable bed, we slept well.
There is a large bathroom with bath and shower, the shower took a bit of working out but got the hang of it.
There is a Chinese restaurant within the hotel which we made the most of, the food is lovely and reasonably priced as are the drinks. I believe there is a nearby pub that servers pub grub if you don't fancy a Chinese meal.
The breakfast was lovely with a good choice and the view from the breakfast room was also spectacular.
Would we stay again, yes.

What a wonderful setting!!. Our room was beautifully clean and had the most amazing view. The most perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble, fabulous Chinese evening meal and welsh breakfast. We would not hesitate in recommending and hope to return soon as amazing walks on your doorstep to explore the beautiful area.

We didn't stay at the hotel but visited to eat (recommended by a friend). The Chinese food was delicious, and the owners and staff were so friendly. We were also lucky enough to get a view of the planes performing their practice runs from the beautiful back garden. We'll certainly be returning to this little treasure

Booked at The Buckley Arms for a night, with our little doggie. We had a lovely and warm welcome from our hosts and our room, for the price we paid, was stunning. After settling in, we had a wonderful Chinese meal. One of the best parts was the bed! The most amazing comfort, pillows that seemed to cuddle your head and the bedding was clean and fresh. The bathroom was the same, with soft fresh towels and everywhere was clean. There were complimentary toiletries too. A special touch of champagne and water in crystal carafe was alongside the tea and coffee making facilities, with a full sized kettle and coffee machine. WiFi was nice and strong throughout the hotel too. Breakfast was nice, with the choices of a full English, cereals, pastries, toast, juices, coffee and tea. The decor is of a Victorian theme, which I loved and the surrounding Welsh mountains beautiful. We will definitely be returning in the near future! 

We stayed for one night. The hospitality is 5 star, the location is the best, very comfortable beds. This place has different instruments you can play. We had an amazing time as we could play the royal and the guitar in the evening. The view in the breakfast room is magnificent: there is a field with sheep, a river and a hill with trees. The music adds a lot to the atmosphere during a good size Welsh Breakfast. The lady Ixia with her family are lovely. She allowed us to stay in the living room after check out in order for me to finish my online meeting. I would highly recommend this place.

The Buckley Arms Hotel is a great experience for anyone who likes somewhere 'a bit different' to stay. The room was lovely and the bedding so comfortable. The family that run this place are a delight. The breakfast was really good and they have a quality well-stocked bar and Chinese food for an evening meal if required. Each room has been tastefully decorated and carefully thought about. We really enjoyed this stay, with beautiful views and a peaceful environment.

We had a great stay! The owners are perfect hosts! Nice rooms, with great beds! Very clean room and bathroom. Nespresso and tea facilities in the room. Cossy pub, with great chinese dinner! Full english breakfast. Close to  the Mach Loop! We hope to visit again in the future!

Very clean and tidy room, everything smelt very fresh and clean

Room as a good size, with a big window providing a lot of light. Double glazed to protect from road noise (a lot of trucks use that route, not to mention the military aircraft)

Floor was a little thin, meaning i could hear comings and goings at the front door, but this is an old building so that's fair.

I didn't have breakfast as I was up too early, but the chinese food in the main dining area is excellent.

The owners are relatively new, so keep that in mind when looking at older negative reviews,  a lot has changed for the better.

Very fast wifi (100/90) which is really handy for those wanting to upload their Mach Loop photos/videos

What fantastic hosting. We arrived early, myself, daughter and two year old grandson as well as the dog. and were immediately shown to our beautiful, excellently equipped rooms which were spotless. We loved the place immediately - the comfort and the views. 
The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. My grandson was pampered as was the dog who was provided with, bed, bowls and treats. 
The evening meals in the hotel are Chinese, however there is a pub close by if English food was preferred. We ate in the hotel and it was lovely.
The walking locally was great with stunning scenery and a stroll to the river gave my grandson all the entertainment he needed - stones and water. A lovely break. We had no complaints and will return as often as possible. 

Warm welcome, lovely large room with an amazingly comfortable bed and pillows and a fabulous view over the common and countryside.  Great breakfast 
Owned and run by a lovely Chinese family who could not have been more helpful. 
Just a short walk to the little village of Dinas Mawddwy which is predominantly Welsh speaking and across the road from the Meirion Mill with its picturesque bridge

Unbeatable bed, best yet!

A small, friendly, family-run hotel in a beautiful setting. The owner could not have nicer, even giving us a packet of treats for our dog as she showed us to our lovely room (which included two complimentary 20cL bottles of wine). As we chatted to her in the bar that afternoon, she said the hotel only served Chinese food (fine by us) but a couple of nearby pubs served traditional Welsh or English food if we’d prefer that. 

Later that evening, as we were having a couple of pre-dinner drinks, she obviously remembered what I’d said earlier about being keen to try a couple of traditional dishes that weren’t on the menu, and sent a dish of delicious steamed dumplings to our table - a very kind gesture that was much appreciated.

I look forward to staying there again and would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, informal place to stay when in this beautiful area.
