Such a lovely  welcoming team of people. Beautifully clean room with a comfy bed, and a good shower! Everything we needed at a great price, and breakfast was super- especially with an extra sausage for Roxanne 🐶❤️ Our second stay here and we'll definitely be back.

Mini break

Discounted staying here as all booking sites, and hotel, quoting over £100. Tried a different site, the night before, and immediately booked at £64 - which is an absolute steal compared to the over priced rooms now being touted by everyone in UK hospitality which, frankly,  stops us from going to them more regularly,  particularly with overpriced wines (and often food) in their restaurants to boot!! 

Easily found, great car park, centre of the town, lovely warm welcome, spotless everywhere, room at back so no traffic, huge area with wc/shoeer and bath. A very comfortable bed and night’s sleep. Woke to a breakfast which was lovely and hot! 

I fully recommend looking for a good price at this B&B  as we came away extremely happy and with no complaints other than, perhaps at our age, the stairs to the first floor are a tad steep and the bath/toilet en suite are on a different level to the bed! But very minor issues!

Great night and at that price…

This is our fourth stay.  As our last stay hadn't been the greatest, we weren't sure if to go again, but decided to give them another chance.

We had a lovely stay.   Rooms have been refurbished and love the new style.  Bed exceptionally comfortable. Room and bathroom very spacious.  Breakfast generally very good.

Only two things - when the hotel is full there are problems with water pressure and it was very hot at night. We did open the window but there was traffic noise.

However, overall a good stay and good value.  We would return.

We’ve just returned from a stay here. We were in a “cottage” (it’s a flat), called Mad Hatter 2.

Positives:

Negatives:
Very dated interior, especially for the price (not worth over six hundred pounds for 3 nights)
Dishwasher absolutely disgusting 
Fridge not as bad, but not clean enough
Plates and cutlery covered in dried food
Bin lid disgusting 
Bathroom stinks of mould and damp
Main Road is very noisy, triple glazed windows would be great

I travel a lot all over the country and abroad, both for work and pleasure. My expectations were not met based on price vs product.

This trip was organised so we could visit family, but the accommodation put a real downer on things. I would not visit again.

Really lovely stay, the room was as described.

Super stay

Pet friendly. Our dog even got a treat whilst we were waiting for our breakfast. Breakfast was good. Over all decent stay.

We made a last minute booking and were very happy with the hotel.  Our room was cosy, clean and comfortable.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  We enjoyed a cooked breakfast and felt the price we paid was value for money.The hotel building was old and this made for quirks such as steep, narrow stairs.  If staying again I would ask for a ground floor room or one of the cottages.

Quaint hotel in Lyndhurst

We loved the location, and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the dining hall was beautifully set out.

The room was small but pleasantly set out and kept cleanly. As we were there for a few nights, they asked when they should come in to clean and did exactly as we required. We could change our breakfast booking time each day as long as we told them the night before.

The full English was delicious, though we could also get just parts of it if we desired - IE just bacon and eggs.
