Walked in, walked out 10 mins later. No mattress topper, could see mattress through sheet. Hair on pillow, mould on shower curtain. Clothes rail rather than wardrobe. Could look at partner on toilet through glass. Run down generally.  At bar poured beer and scooped foam out several times. Bar was cheap, only redeeming feature. Worst place I've been in years! 

Just don't do it!

What a horrible night. I booked this due to it being close the Clifford's Spa. It said it closed at 10pm but at 00:40 I had to ring to tell them to stop with the loud singing and banging on a drum!! It needs updating, wallpaper hanging off the walls, the room was cold and only a very thin quilt. Will never stay there again.

Awful

The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff were super friendly very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We arrived at little early, but were checked in with no issues. Would definitely stay there again 

Comfortable over night stay 

You get what you pay for. Just wanted a budget hotel to crash after a day at Clifford Spa. 
Clean sheets, towels and comfy bed. Coffee and tea provided. Free parking too.  We paid for breakfast which was good and staff were pleasant.  Coffee, juice and full English.
We were at the front of the hotel so noise from road and music playing in outside bar carried on for a while. Room was spacious and nice bathroom but don’t expect any toiletries. 
We ate in the restaurant which is mainly Indian food and we were offered a 20% off deal so cheap and cheerful. Prices of drinks at bar weren’t too bad either. 
It is dated and a bit dusty in places but pleasant enough for an overnight stay.

Nice enough for a brief stay

We was going to  Clifford spa which is across the road about 5 minutes walk away. We had a family en-suite room for just the 2 of us which was big and clean and quite modern. Free parking was available around the back of the hotel and we found all the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Also found out that on Groupon was a deal for the Indian restaurant downstairs which was three course curry dinner for 2 (starter, main) with popadoms and rice or Nan each for a total price of £29.95. Great value and all the meal was delicious washed down with a bottle of white wine at a reasonable price.

Big rooms

Staff were friendly but this hotel needs a really good clean. We didn't feel the bedsheets were fresh as there were makeup marks and it didn't smell fresh. We ended up putting out tshirts on the pillow cases to sleep on. Splashes on wall by the toilet, unclean bathroom, lots of dust too. A razor was even left in the bathroom.  The curry that we ate for our evening meal was not nice either. We stayed here as were visiting The Clifford Health Spa but we wouldn't return, would rather have a longer drive to get there and stay somewhere clean.

Unclean

Have seen other reviews, clearly you expect a 5 Star Hotel with all mod cons at a budget rate. Total delusion and you feel ashamed of your vile comments. 

As per title, good value for good money, plus extra benefits.

Polite, friendly staff, great service and clean, pleasant rooms.

Okay may need a few touches here and there, but clearly they are making the effort to improve.

Bar not too sad, but again clearly in process of improving (Remember Rome was clearly never built in a day!!), take note.

Restaurant/Food exceptional, and also fantastic value for money. Please see photo of my Tilapia Biriyani, absolutely superb and a total recommendation. (Ps for the previous negative reviewers, it's a fish by the way)

Hopefully the travellers with some intelligence and aware of reality, definitely worth a go.

Excellent value for money and fantastic food

I really can't say anything positive. The place was a mess, the rooms were tired and just uncomfortable. The duvet was unbelievably thin and just a thin sheet covering the mattress. Reception was a shambles, check in was just weird, the guy eventually came then sort of wandered off with no explanation. We could not get out of there quickly enough - and when we did come down there was someone sleeping on the sofa in the main room. I am not sure even the Hotel Inspector could turn this around.

Terrible

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was so dirty that I did not even stay the night. I checked out thar evening because I could not being myself to sleep on the bed, it was disgusting. There were stains all over the pillows and duvet, there were hairs on the bed, the sink had black grim in it and the shower was mouldy. The bed was broken.  When I checked out there was no questions asked. My friends stayed in a different room, this was also dirty. There was food stuck to the bed linen and a big brown stains on the sheet of one of the beds. 

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I appreciate that you 'get what you pay for' but ever hotel should have a certain level of cleanliness. 

Worst hotel experience of my life.

We had booked a one night stay here at Bennetts to visit family.

We cannot explain the state of the room which was absolutely filthy, we have both travelled the world and also visited many places in the UK staying at a variety of hotels but this was just plain filthy.

The room had "ensuite" facilities we have taken pictures which show the disgusting state of the toilet and shower (we did not use the shower) the sink was in no better state. There was dust everywhere, the television obviously hadn't been dusted for sometime...although the remote did not work and only BBC 1 & BBC 2 could be received when operating the TV manually, the light switches were downright dangerous...the tea cups were of odd sizes and only 4 tea bags were supplied....the paint on the walls was peeling...and as fir the bed....we really didn't want to get in it such was the state of it ...the duvet and pillow cases obviously hadn't been changed...the "wardrobe" was just an open free standing cupboard...we did not take any meals at Bennetts....for breakfast we walked into Long Eaton to the Corner Room which served an outstanding breakfast...please look at photos  before you book ....
