Great location and great price for the night.

Only one good point: a quiet neighbourhood with a good bus access to major spots in London. Shocking to find a half eaten rotting chocolate cake in the closet when checked-in; after climbing stairs all the way up to 3rd floor(counting in Brit way). Hair dryer unable to touch as the thing was so sticky dirty. Shower would not drain even though shower’s water pressure was so weak. TV also did not turn on - when it was fixed aftet two days, remote would not work properly. Room so small to even properly unpack or move around without bumping into each other if two people are staying. Towels are changed every day but often would forget to place foot mat. Would NEVER return as the stay in London was so unpleasant because of this!

Will not come back at all

The room is miniscule and the building smells like mold, if you save money by coming here you will end up spending more money while staying out and avoiding the room unless it's for sleep.

Makes you want to stay at the pub a little longer

Booked this place because of its appearance and being in an area that was near where I need it to be. Nightmare started with just communication with the place. There’s no front desk, no person to receive you, show you around or answer your calls.  They have a 24 hour hotline that nobody answers and their communication skills and language skills are the worst,  so much that they reply with the words “I’m please to tell you”  to everything including that they don’t have any rooms available for your requested dates  yes it was the case for me when I was trying to originally booked extra night prior to my arrival,  they don’t realize how terrible & frustrating it feels to not be able to communicate with someone in the service industry about your needs or to even be on the same page. 
Upon arrival needed to have a few things inspected as I found multiple hairs on the bed and floors, dirt on the bathroom toilet, dirty bathroom walls, notice on the pictures the word “clean?” & “dirty” Had been written on the dirty walls and no air conditioning or working internet, as they had provided me with the network name that did not exist,  either they forgot what they called her own network or they change the name and forgot to change your email instructions. Everything was done through email including instructions and how to open front door and bedroom door which were all with  electronic pads 
 Something that made me very self-conscious of previous tenants having the code to the front door and bedroom doors  Who knows if they ever change them. 

 All in all a terrible experience; never got any resolution even after writing multiple emails with the word “urgent” on the subject, even after living in various messages on their mailbox and wasting a lot of money on some phone calls from another country to them, when finally got replies none of them addressed any of the problems I was having and on top of it, not even an apology was ever given, even after finally explaining word by word and on detail what the experience had been like. 
 Definitely somewhere not worthy of my money. I prefer to be treated somewhere where my needs and concerns are addressed prior to me getting there, and specially when it’s urgent! 
Too dirty of a place for the money they asked for and no communication skills make it that much harder to deal with management

Great looking place, not all that shines is gold

I think some of the reviews on here are a little unfair. Yes, the basement apartment is very small and calling it an apartment is a bit of a stretch, however it does the job if you want a reasonably priced place to stay in central London. 

The double bed is very comfy, if there are three of you, there’s a camp bed in the cupboard that you’ll need to set up. It’s not a place you particularly want to hang out in, but with London on your doorstep that would be a complete waste of time anyway. There is a massive tv though which is a bonus. 

I would say that it gets very hot (we stayed during warm weather) and the only way to get air in is to open the front door. It could do with a few small improvements - the shabby blind needs replacing and a clock that works would be good but overall it’s a decent enough place in a nice part of town. If it’s cheap place that you just want to get ready and sleep in, you can’t go too wrong with this. 

Very small but does the job

Absolutely disgusting room! A lot smaller than shown in pictures, the lights were gone in the bathroom so we had to shower in the dark for two days even though we rang and told house keeping numerous times, the room was disgustingly dirty. Dirt and dust between the sofa, the shower was dirty. The kitchen is situated inside a wardrobe. 24 hour maid service? Well that’s a joke within itself as she never came. We requested towels they never arrived, I’ve emailed and complained 3 times and not heard anything back. 

Honestly not worth half the money they charge! Highly recommend NOT staying here! It’s vile.

Honestly the worst place I’ve ever stayed

Unfortunately our stay didn’t start well from the outset of booking. The address listed on booking.com is different to that listed on Wotif which was disappointing to discover after we booked on Wotif and paid upfront. The bed was so hard and the pillows were so flat we had to prop them with the hard cushions. The heated towel rail is a safety hazard and located in a position where I kept burning my arm as the bathroom is so tiny and not as photographed. We weren’t advised of the housekeeping which was fresh towels and changed bins but was inconsistent on what days it would occur. The room was small and run down overall and not the comfortable stay we were expecting for the last leg of our honeymoon.

Disappointing stay

A good point is that there is a microwave in kitchen so I was able to take ready meal and have it in the room.Duvet and pillow could be better..
