The Garden House

Have just returned from a fabulous weekend festival. The Garden House was brilliant. Cooked breakfasts in the morning, as well as cereals ect.  It  was about 20 mins from our venue, we are lucky to have found such a brilliant place to stay. We have booked for next year. Thank you so much.

Stayed for three nights to attend a family wedding at Grittleton House. Lovely informal atmosphere, fabulous cooked breakfast prepared to order and extras as requested, very comfy beds with lovely crisp white linen, cosy duvets and soft pillows. My grandson didn’t want to leave as he said the bed was soooo comfy. We had a separate bathroom rather than an en-suite which I wasn’t expecting ( I may have not read the info properly) but it was absolutely fine with plenty of hot water for baths and showers. My daughter and her partner stayed in the room opposite us for 2nights and they agree with my comments above.  The B&B is sign posted from the road but the signage could be a bit more visible - it was dark when we arrived and it took a little while to find it. Unfortunately the mobile phone signal is poor but we were ok as the WiFi was very good. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again - thank you Andy

I needed simple, cost effective accommodation close to the M4 to break a long car journey and the Garden House proved to be perfect. 

I found the property easily even though I arrived late in the evening and it was dark. The host met me and quickly showed me to my room which very comfortable. 

The following morning I was served a delicious breakfast and was on my way.  I couldn’t have asked for any more. Thank you. 

Andy was a great host. Bed was comfortable, room clean and tidy. Private bathroom. Excellent breakfast with a great choice, even a cooked meal is available. Highly recommend this place to stay. We will be back. BTW it is a short walk to the local pub which also has a great atmosphere.

If you cannot find any cheapest place to stay in bath for a few days ,this is a perfect b&b  in grittleton you can afford to pay and this location is close by castle combe,lacock Abbey (Harry Potter), bath and many local historic sights

This place is very quiet, very clean, free parking ,wifi, non smoking area and above all breakfast is included and good service too.

Room smallish, but perfectly OK, with en suite and view over lovely garden. Plenty of paring space and good wi-fi. Host was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast, with plenty of choice. One slight problem - with the extreme heat we had to have the window open, and could hear the M4 all night. Would not be a problem in normal weather and obviously nothing can be done about it.

We found The Garden House by 'accident' as we were looking at staying closer to Chippenham, but what a find!  The house was warm and welcoming, our room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.  The breakfast was amazing and plentiful.  Nothing was too much trouble for Andy our host.    Sorry Andy but we will be back!

We enjoyed our stay there, very quiet and quaint village. Sarah was lovely and nothing was too much trouble.  Breakfast was good. Would recommend it to friends. We went to the local pub for supper, excellent food and staff.

The hotel was clean, well maintained, and generally quite nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I certainly couldn't ask more of them. We all enjoyed the breakfast, particularly the fact there were options and a nice vegetarian "fry up" option: something of a rarity.

The location is quiet, although very well placed for events at nearby Grittleton House. There are no shops nearby and it's not the most accessible place in the world, but is in a lovely area

The WiFi is patchy, slow, and unreliable, though, particularly towards the back of the building - and with very little phone signal in the area, this isn't somewhere to stay if you like being connected!
