Stayed for one night while attending a Christmas party at a nearby farm shop. Suzanne was very welcoming when we arrived showing us where everything was. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were clean, warm and welcoming with everything you needed, breakfast was delicious and we would highly recommend this little gem of a place.

Lovely one night stay as part of a road trip down to Cornwall. The host was lovely and friendly and made us welcome.  The room was comfortable and quiet and we slept well. Delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. Ideally I’d have liked a bigger bath sheet that could wrap round me after a shower but for a short stay it was perfectly fine.

2nd stay here, lovely hosts, comfy room, great wi-fi, superb breakfast.

The lovely couple who run the inn did a great job keeping the charm of the old building while providing all the modern conveniences one would appreciate in a hotel. The breakfast was fresh and made to order. We needed extra water as we could not find any to purchase on our day of cycling to  the town. It was Sunday and everything was closed. They were so very generous with the number of bottles they gave us. There was a secure place to store our bikes. I would definitely stay there again.

We were welcomed by very friendly staff who were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was very spacious and absolutely immaculate! We really enjoyed our breakfast and the food was delicious. The location was quiet but lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay, Chris and Kath.

We cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough. The rooms are spacious, characterful and spotless.  The breakfast was beautifully cooked and served in the quaint dining room.  We travelled as a family for a wedding and the hostess was so kind and accommodating.  She sorted out a booking mix up, helped us with room-hopping to get ready and was gracious about being asked to wake the father of the bride in the night because some vital meds had been left in his car.  

Lovely place to stay, the owners couldn’t have been more nice, the bed was comfy, everything was so clean, and the breakfast was really nice. Would highly recommend.

This is the perfect guest house, located 1mile from the A30 and only 2miles from the Cornish border. Very central to many locations. The Guesthouse was secure with a key to enter the front door and a different key for your room. My room was very spacious as was the shower room. The breakfast is made to order - with a selection of juices,tea & coffee, cereals, toast and cooked breakfast all served in a breakfast room by Suzanne with a smile. very attentive and kind. Very clean guest house. Suzanne truly cares that your stay goes well. I will be returning.

If you need to stay in the area the Tinhay Mill Guest House is a gem and should definitely be considered. The owners are lovely and friendly and the breakfast is definitely worth having. The rooms are clean and tidy, everything works as it should and the parking feels very secure. We loved it and if we were in the area again we would definitely stay again.

Spent 7 nights at the Tinhay Mill Guesthouse and used it as a base to explore Devon and Cornwall. Great location close to the A30. Quiet village location with a few decent pubs close by that serve food. Couldn't fault the accomodation. Clean and well loooked after. Breakfast was really good, quality ingredients coooked well. Suzanne looked after us really well, and the Covid protections were reasurring.

LOCATION a quiet village setting but easy access to A30 for getting about in Devon and Cornwall.
ATTENTION TO DETAILS from the double width secure, parking bays, immaculate outside spaces. To the spotless large rooms with en-suites. Warm and comfortable throughout.
BREAKFAST a masterpiece.
THE HOSTS Friendly sincere and willing to help with any advice.
EATING IN AREA walking to local pubs or driving about 7 minutes to Launceston. An award winning farm shop 2 minutes in car for all of your picnic needs and more.
PETROL opposite there is a small attendant served pumps, while I was there I found it to be significantly cheaper than others.
COVID SECURE MEASURES IN PLACE great care has been taken to ensure that all possible measures are taken.
CONCLUSION A GREAT BASE FOR YOUR HOLIDAY EXPLORING.

We keep returning to this delightful, welcoming guesthouse staying five nights for our third visit.    As an ideal base for exploring Devon and Cornwall, we like the restful, relaxing atmosphere and the very personable service  -  something very hard to find today when most hotels are bland and impersonal.   As usual, Suzanne and Stephen proved to be excellent and caring hosts.

Third visit to Tinhay Mill Guesthouse

Spent 5 nights here whilst house hunting in the area. Run by a really lovely and friendly couple, such a warm welcome. The rooms are a good size with ensuite and the normal tea/coffee facilities.

Breakfast is just what you need to start the day. Fresh fruit is available, that changes daily and the cooked breakfast is cooked to order so always hot and fresh.

In a great location for visiting attractions in both Devon and Cornwall.
