We had a wonderful stay at the Castle Inn, the room was clean and spacious with everything you could need. Ying took spectacular care of us, from her very friendly welcome, chatting with us, to her delicious cooking. We had an evening meal plus breakfast and it was all fantastic, and in lovely surroundings - the bar and dining area is full of character. And of course, the Inn itself is surrounded by stunning countryside.

The hosts were very good and the food and accommodation was excellent.

The four hundred year old part of the property has been retained with suitable furnishings, our room was very clean, tidy & comfortable.The hosts are very friendly & helpful, the homemade food is of the highest quality, with very generous portions.We can now understand why the Castle Inn is so popular.

Nice friendly staff, have stayed quiet a few times, as we have family, in the village.

Stayed at this B&B for a couple of nights as we were attending a wedding. Nice property with attached bar/restaurant which is a useful as really not much else in Knucklas. Food and breakfast were decent, and owner/staff helpful and friendly.

Came to stay to go to Heyope Festival.Fantastic location so close to the festival.Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was lovely and comfortable.

Every part of our stay was superb.Easy to find and park.Room was modern with usb ports and modern bathroom.View to hills was great.Dining there was exceptional and highly recommended. A short drive to Ludlow -stay here rather than in the town!

Lovely atmosphere and felt very welcome.
Absolutely amazing food. Ate here twice in the end as the menu choice was so good. 
Had steak one night and was cooked to perfection, very tasty and everything was great. 
Hubby had the pork belly and was so tender and tasty , had the pad chai and wow the flavours and taste just perfect 
Definitely worth a visit 


Excellent food

We arrived to a warm welcome and quickly shown to our room. Tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable with ample towels and decent sized tea cups. We had an evening meal that was well portioned, reasonably priced, wonderfully cooked and served with a smile and breakfast in the morning was an equal delight. Having found this jewel we are planning another but longer visit.

My wife and I stayed for one night, whilst on an e-bike tour around the Shropshire border, it was a Friday night and the place was very busy and very friendly. Ying was a great host, providing safe bike storage and charging, the en-suite room was lovely, with a great king-size bed and the food and drinks were perfect. We'll certainly stay here again, if we return to the area.

A great find!

 Booked a last minute table for our anniversary. Greeted with friendly staff. Excellent pint of Robinson's cider. I chose the Princess of pies (chicken leak and bacon) my husband had the belly pork cooked in a Jack Daniel's sauce. Very tender and tasty. Even had a visit from the owner/chef(s) Ying and Jeanie. 

Tasty food in a lovely pub

Quiet, neat and comfortable accommodation with relaxed booking in process. Friendly, helpful staff with great meals. The mattress on the double bed needs to be replaced with a slightly firmer one and shower head holder was broken, which requires replacing. Anyone requiring accommodation in that area, I would definitely recommend it.

We came as a larger party so booked ahead & preordered.

There was a good range on the menu with options for vegetarian & vegan.

We enjoyed our meal, felt looked after, and really appreciated the visit.

The building itself is in a quiet village & we had a nice walk after the meal.

Lovely food & friendly service

Stayed here for the second time, as we enjoyed it so much last year. We stayed for a couple of nights and ate there on both evenings. The room was clean and spacious, the service excellent. The food is great, and there is plenty to choose from. I chose a Thai dish one night and a Jalfresi the next night, both were the best I have ever tasted. My partner also enjoyed both his meals. The portions are large and although we shared a starter on the first night, we still had difficulty finishing our main dish. So the next night we didn't try a starter, and my partner just had enough room for the homemade cheesecake. The service in the pub was excellent and it was very busy -  so you need to book.The Castle Inn is in a small village, but there is a bus or train to Knighton if you want a trip out. We did the walk to Knighton around the hills at the back -  it stated it was moderate and around 5 miles. The scenery was lovely, and there were many hills to climb. Luckily the weather stayed with us until we got in to Knighton, we stopped at the Horse and Jockey for a drink, and the heavens opened . So after a couple of drinks we got the bus back

we stayed for two nights and could not fault it,not over fancy but very nice,spotlessly clean, very comfy in a lovely quiet location, very friendly owner and staff, the food is absolutely delicious, cooked by the owner there is a range of authentic Thai dishes and English dishes, with pies that must be tried, wish we could of had longer to try more.  dog friendly which is a bonus with a good outside area, close to some beautiful scenery, would definitely stay there again, at the least stop for a meal if we were passing that way.
