This is such a lovely B&B! Beautiful room with some thoughtful touches, very comfortable bed and good quality bathroom. Breakfast was great with lots of options and the host was very kind and welcoming. Good location for exploring this part of Scotland. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Our journey in May 2022 took us to Scotland and what a delight to have found Middleton House B & B in Blackford!  If you are looking for a charming B&B with an outstanding host who truly cares about her guests, look no further and book it today. 
The room was spacious and spotless (I mean really spotless!), the bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed.  It was a bit cold outside our first night and being from a hot climate we asked for the heat to be on and quickly found our room toasty warm!   I particularly enjoyed the adorable glass bottles of water and milk in the fridge each day along with a wee treat of cookies.   
But let's talk about breakfast.  We love breakfast, and we especially love the breakfast in the UK.  Cate gives you choices the night before to let her know what you prefer which was very nice since we hate to be wasteful.  Everything was delicious and if you left the table hungry then that would be on you.  As wonderful as the food was, we loved the room overlooking the garden as a peaceful and beautiful start of what we knew would be a busy day. 
Cate also provided suggestions for places for dinner which were terrific.  We'd recommend Henderson's Bistro to anyone!

Middleton House, Bed & Breakfast. Where to start? Our room was an 11 out of 10! Quiet room but we were there shoulder season.  Our host, we feel could have turned into a friend.  The bed was divine, (the best sleep in ages) a large bathroom, every extra you could ever want! We have a lovely fresh rose, tea making supplies inroom, it was such a treat!! The breakfast was oh so lovely! Hot, plentiful including fresh fruit. We would stay again in a hearbeat. 
Book well in advance. There is no place within walking distance to eat at but the host called ahead for a reservation a 3 minute drive away. Spot on recommendation. We can't say enough about how lovely this property is, the house is a labor of love in the renovating that has taken place.  

Totally superb overnight stay in an immaculate Georgian house, run by the very welcoming Kate Cope. The bedroom and the perfect en-suite shower are bright and very comfortable. Absolutely everything you might need has been thought of and provided. A huge, delicious breakfast with lots of choices, too. I would not hesitate to recommend Middleton House - it's very easy to find, just a couple of minutes off the A9 and Kate let us park in her driveway, even though we were blocking her own car in! If only some of the other B&B's I've stayed at in Scotland were this well-run and welcoming.. 

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Gleneagles. In fact, we preferred it to staying at Gleneagles itself. Large rooms, quiet space, excellent breakfast, and kind host. We highly recommend Middleton House.

Great location, with our group we visited our cask in Tullibardine Distillery, had the best stay in this lovely bed and breakfast, with a superb breakfast in the garden glasshouse. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Everything was quiet & peaceful. Kate was a wonderful hostess who was very friendly. Our rm ‘The Gleneagle’ was well appointed & very comfortable.

B&B with five star standards - fantastic attention to detail in every aspect - would give a lot of hotels a run for their money. Breakfast was superb. Highly recommended - you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely perfect. A little gem of a BnB. We couldn’t fault it. Large beautiful room, super king comfy bed, fluffy towels, and lots of extras you don’t always get in your usual BnB. Mini fridge, fresh milk for your coffee/tea, water, even wine glasses and plates to use. Beautiful decor, lots of thought and style, breakfast was fabulous. Host Kate really lovely. Can’t recommend enough.

Really excellent bed and breakfast. Kate is a great host The room we had was spotless, large and very comfortable. The bed was really comfortable and we slept like a log. Good choice for breakfast which was freshly cooked.  All in all a great place to stay and we would go back again

Wonderful three night stay!

Middleton House, Blackford - 5 star+ property.

Just what we needed after a very long drive from the Isle of Skye...

Absolutely Perfect!

A supremely comfortable stay in spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated rooms with wonderful beds, gorgeous linens and good shower rooms. All sorts of thoughtful extras are provided including fresh milk bottled water, a mini fridge, wine glasses and chocolates.  Delicious breakfast cooked to order by Kate who provides a very warm, friendly welcome.  Great attention given to providing a Covid safe environment. Can highly recommend Middleton House and look forward to returning to this excellent B&B.


An absolute delight.

We came for 2 nights and stayed for 4 as our circumstances changed.  Kate could not have been more understanding and supportive.  The bedrooms are so well thought out. Very comfortable beds, gorgeous bedlinen and lovely large towels.  A fridge with fresh milk for tea/coffee and wine glasses there should you bring a bottle.  2 comfortable chairs in each room and a table ideal to use as a desk. Breakfasts were varied and excellent and good, strong coffee.  I cannot recommend Middleton House more highly and would not hesitate to stay again.

Unexpected stay - what a find!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Middleton House. Everything was superior, from the warm welcome to the luxuriously comfortable bed and the tasty breakfasts. Kate also very kindly accommodated a last minute extension to my stay, which meant that my last day in Perthshire was even more special.  I thoroughly enjoyed the morning chats with Kate too -having travelled extensively before the days of Covid I can testify to the fact that it's rare to encounter this kind of authenticity anywhere, let alone in the hospitality industry. I'd thoroughly recommend Middleton House to anyone visiting the area. I'll be back for sure! Thanks Kate and see you soon!

A beautiful bed and breakfast in a beautiful location

We stayed at Middleton House on our way home from the North West Highlands.
What a beautiful Georgian building with Kate the host being very welcoming. Our room was very tastefully decorated and had everything we could wish for. The bed was so comfortable with luxurious bedding.
Breakfast was served in the conservatory and overlooked a seaside themed garden.
I would say that we certainly had value for money and would urge anyone who is looking to visit Gleneagles, Auchterarder or the surrounding district should book directly with Middleton House.

Excellent overnight stop

This was an absolute gem of a b&b which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a short or long stay in Perthshire.  With many tourist and scenic attractions in the locality it makes a fantastic base for touring or sightseeing.
From the first warm welcome from Kate to the last goodbye we loved this place.  Beautifully decorated and ever so clean rooms with clean bedding and towels every day you will have no health worries and it really is like a home from home.
The breakfast each morning was spot on with a choice of light, veggie or full Scottish, (highly recommended), freshly squeezed orange juice and warm toast - just what you need for a good start to the day.
Incredible value, excellent accommodation and by now you might be asking "What's the catch?", well the only catch is, if you don't book early, you'll miss out and boy will you be disappointed!!

Blackford Bliss

Middleton House is a very superior B and B with huge very well appointed rooms, massive beds, crisp sheets and towels etc. Tucked away in the sleepy village of Blackford just off the A9 it makes an ideal place to break a journey or explore the local area. Very quiet despite being on the main road through the village. Breakfasts are excellent and served in a modern furnished if smallish dining room. There are now only 3 rooms available rather than the 4 in the past making this place even more exclusive. Kate is an attentive and friendly host and willing to give suggestions on eating places (nothing much in Blackford itself but plenty nearby).
