A fantastic find in the heart of the dales. The hotel and pub were fantastic value for money, staff were very accomodating and the meals very exceptional. A credit to all those involved. Looking forward to a return visit.

We really enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Tennant Arms. Very friendly staff, lovely setting, nice big room with separate downstairs bathroom, and very good food at dinner and breakfast.

Great hotel with a superb gastro pub serving excellent food. Great location for many of the popular walks in the area and fishing facilities right next door. Couldn’t fault the staff and service we received and would highly recommend this hotel. The long days walking were made easier having this hotel to come back too.

Great location and lovely hotel. We stayed a couple of nights and the staff was very nice. Freya who works there many hours was very helpful. I can only recommend a visit to the area.

Booked the Littondale room, amazingly confortable large bed, coffee machine, proper yorkshire tea, jacuzzi bathtub with plenty of room for 2 for the perfect romantic getaway. Nesting housemartins on the windows were unexpected but captivating (means the windows arent clean but it was more exciting watching them come and go) Breakfast was good in the circumstances (limited buffett for COVID measures) Staff always helpful and couldnt do enough for you. Couldnt have asked for anything more and was a great price compared to other "romantic stays" in the area

Very convenient stopover when visiting the surrounding area. Bit of a shock when arriving to be told we only had a 1 night booking rather than the 2 nights booked through Hotels.com - however the hotel had a spere room to accomodate us even though it meant a room change mid stay. The staff were very helpfull

Great stay, staff very helpful and friendly. Food is excellent and very well presented, room was comfortable ( twin room at the back of the hotel ) extractor fan outside of room but this goes off at 10pm. Lovely views to the front of the hotel, set in the small village of Kilnsey. Very peasant and peaceful stay, would stay again but would probably opt for a room at the front of the hotel.

Perfect romantic break

A weekend with only three things planned, eating, drinking and walking and we were not disappointed. The weather was excellent as was the hand-pulled Taylors Landlord plus a fine selection of gin. The food was of very high standard and the staff very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back but will ask for one of the larger rooms next time as ours was a little too cosy!

Super friendly checkin and even showed us to the room Warm and inviting, a real personal first impression Free room upgrade which is always a winner Fantastic setting by the open fire in the bar for a few relaxing drinks then onto a wonderful evening mealBreakfast was brilliant and nothing was too much hassle 10/10

We just stayed 1 night in order to attend a friend's birthday event nearby. The room was spacious and had all we needed. The only downside (which we were warned about by the proprietor) was that the  cold tap in the bath runs on very low pressure - so running a bath took a very long time. Also the design of the bath would have been quite difficult for anyone with mobility problems to climb into. Everything else was fine and the breakfast was delicious. The location is great for walking in the Dales. It is right on a road but very quiet.

Smart pub accommodation with a great breakfast

What a delight to see the new owners since 2019 have put the pub back to a welcoming Yorkshire pub with high standards of cleanliness & service. The breakfast had everything you expect, fruit ,yoghurt, croissants, smoked salmon and full English. I been going to this pub for many years and seen it’s rise and falls , it has definitely risen to a high,  I would throughly recommend.

The setting is beautifully picturesque and we got the king size room with a great view.  Huge luxurious bathroom with a large free standing bath, fluffy towels, double shower, and all very clean.  There were a few of the inset spotlights not working but tbh, it would have been too bright with them all on.  The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable, king size, four poster bed, two armchairs and plenty of storage space.The bar manager was friendly and helpful.  Overall, a great place to stay.  If you want faceless modern chain hotels though, it's not for you.

Room with a fabulous view

We stayed in the Pen-y-Ghent room - everything about it was great. Large bed, large bathroom, very spacious room. The family who run the pub/b&b couldn’t do more for you. They kept the kitchen open a little later than usual on a Sunday as we arrived later than expected and the food they served was lovely. I was hesitant booking a room here at first due to the bad reviews, but these were for when a different owner ran the place, which was very clear to see when we arrived. I look forward to staying here again.
