Always lovely to stay with Mark & Mandy.  Great location, warm and wonderful service.Delicious breakfast  - if only there were kippers available!!

Superb. Such friendly and welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone else to stay there. So central for everything. Breakfast we’re legendary to start the day.

Nice friendly welcome. Room had large comfy kingsize bed and plenty of teas coffees hot chocolate and biscuits. Great location with free parking. Perfect, nicely cooked breakfast, just what we wanted.

I had such a lovely stay at Silverdale. I had a super cosy room with a double bed (great surprise as I was only 1). My room had a beautiful view of the mountains surround Keswick :) Breakfast was delicious and service was amazing ! Super friendly, attentive and I felt very safe and happy! 10/10 will be back :)

Another hugely enjoyable stay at the Silverdale. It's in a perfect location for everything I want to do in Keswick. The hosts are so friendly, always welcoming, and the place is always clean, warm and cosy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and I hope to be back soon.

A perfect cosy stay

A two-night stay in Keswick to have a break with family.  Original plans to go to the theatre were scuppered due to performance cancellation.  The Silverdale was fit-for-purpose, no frills accommodation.  Perfect location to be able to leave the car alone for the duration.  Excellent full breakfast offered that could be tailored.  Comfortable lounge area that we could meet in, separately from our rooms.  Easy access with front door key.  Off-road parking available but not used (it was easier to park on the road as the access was a bit tight.

No frills, central accommodation.

My week here was great, I would recommend it to anyone. The accommodation was clean, quiet and comfortable, breakfast tasty and well presented, location near Fitz Park, and an easy walk to the centre and the lake. Free parking. On my first day I tripped on a walk and broke a bone near my wrist. The hosts, Mark and Mandy couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. Full marks.

Lovely stay of 4 nights over New Year. The Silverdale is very convenient for Keswick town centre and has its own small car park. The host was very friendly and amiable, the breakfast excellent in all respects. My room on the top floor was comfortable, with a good sized TV and an easy chair. The electric shower didn't need any fiddling with - just the right temperature straight away, though the shower cubicle was a little tight. Unusually for this type of guest house, there is a common lounge area with TV adjacent to the conservatory which serves as the breakfast room. Very much recommended..

We stayed at The Silverdale Monday - Friday the second week in October 2023.  Very nice room en-suite, including parking off-street, and full breakfast.  Mark and Mandy are very accommodating and personable.  The location is residential (quiet) with a short pleasant walk to the market area or park.  Consistent shower water pressure and temperature (our stays at other places were not).   Highly recommend The Silverdale, Keswick.

Mark the owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, both before & during our stay. He asked if there was anything we needed & arranged a taxi for us the next day for the wedding we were attending. Lovely atmosphere when having our delicious breakfast, catering for all the guests needs. Thank you

Really nice host, very friendly and helpful, makes you feel comfortable. Single room is small with sink in the room, wc closed off with a door and a shower all inside the one room. Comfortable "double" bed and tea and coffee making facilities provided. Bit dated decor but good value for money and good location near to town.

Close to town, clean and comfortable.

Welcoming hosts, breakfast was excellent. We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room and I have to say it was a bit of a squash! The en suite was basically the toilet with just room to sit without touching the shower although if we were taller then maybe we would have! The sink was in the bedroom. Despite this the beds were comfy. We had a front door key and were able to come and go as we pleased.

Very friendly welcoming greeting on our arrival .very quickly taken to our room and left to enjoy our stay within minutes. Great cooked breakfast.very comfy huge bed.nice quiet street  in a great location close to main aquare with ample on and off street free parking .would definately stay here again .

This was a super place!  Very nice, bright, well-appointed room with floor to ceiling bay window and ensuite bathroom. We arrived earlier than expected and were greeted warmly and allowed to check in early.  Mark gave us wonderful recommendations for eating in town. Each morning we had a delicious full English breakfast on a lovely windowed porch and the host accommodated an early breakfast request due to our need for early departure. Highly recommend this place to anyone!
