We had a lovely stay at Hermiston Guest House. The rooms are well appointed, beautifully clean and refreshed on a daily basis. Breakfast is well organised and the service from Phil in particular was a highlight of the stay. Thank you!

Phil and Helen were excellent hosts. They went above and beyond!! The food was yummy. Especially the shortbread!

This property never fails to impress, we would happily recommend it.

Lovely guest house nestled on the edge of Braithwaite village. We spent 5 nights and did a different walk every day from the front door, leaving our car tucked away safely in the large drive. Phil is a very welcoming and knowledgeable host, with lots of advice for places to walk, eat and visit. Helen's cooked breakfast were amazing and a definite highlight to the start of our day. We will definitely visit again.

Friendly welcoming hosts. Bedroom (with great views over the fells) spacious, immaculately clean with all the extras you'd get in the nicest hotel rooms; hairdryer, extra pillows, comfy bed, tea, coffee and biscuits. Towels are provided, en-suite with good power shower and toiletries. Breakfast amazing - great choice and quality ingredients.

What a wonderful stay in the lakes, Hermiston guest house is so clean and tidy, the hosts Phil and Helen are so lovely, we was made to feel so welcome and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing along with the views out of the windows. I would certainly recommend this guest house to friends and family.

Very pleasant stay, good caring hosts.Welcome hot beverage with a snack was a surprise package but a much needed one.Very immaculately maintained property.

We had a great stay at this lovely, friendly B&B. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We found the rooms to be clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious (perfect before a day in the mountains). We will definitely  be returning.

We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs room.

Weekend in the lakes

Superb friendly welcome from Phil and a much needed hot drink after a long journey. I and son stayed here for the weekend attending 3 sporting events in the area. Phil and Helen were superb hosts .Phil was very helpful with local knowledge and suggestions for dinner. Immaculately maintained, Good nights sleep on very comfortable beds. Excellent shower and multi choice breakfasts. Coffee excellent. Would certainly stay here again if we are in the area and would without hesitation recommend the Hermiston.

Weekend away.

This is a clean, comfortable and cosy guest house in a good location to explore the Lake District.  The welcome from hosts Phil and Helen is exceptional and they immediately make you feel at home. They have a wealth of knowledge of the area to pass on and the delicious breakfasts are a  great start to the day.

Ideal guest house for a break.

Stayed in this fabulous guest house with my husband and father.  Everything about it was beautiful!  The house is well planned and stocked.  The owners, Phil and Helen, are very helpful and knowledgeable.  The breakfast was plentiful with good choices.  Phil planned out a scenic tour in our car that was excellent for us.  The location is perfect for exploring the Lakes and small villages.  I got some amazing photos!  We highly recommend and would like to stay there again.

Best Guest House in Keswick

Stayed at Herminston end of November as we wanted to experience some winter lakes, as we arrived a warm welcome, had a coffee, shown to our room, which was lovely and cosy, very clean with and comfortable, fantastic breakfast, the guest house location is absolutely fantastic, at the start of the beautiful new lands pass and winlatter, surrounded by beautiful views and walks, Phil&helen are truly fantastic hosts, I’d go as far as the best in the business, keep up the great work guys, top marks from us, Mr&Mrs Williams. Merry Christmas all

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a really wonderful stay.
Friendly and knowledgeable hosts who looked after us brilliantly.
Rooms were spotless,great cooked breakfasts every morning that set up us for the days walking activities. 
We had a brilliant day at whinlatter and a great walk round derwentwater.

Beautifully presented house, so clean and comfy.  Views from the rooms out towards Blencathra and Skiddaw. We were warmly welcomed by Helen and Phil and they pampered us with delicious cooked breakfasts and tea and shortcake in the afternoons, after our walks.  They obviously love the beautiful countryside in which they live and were able to suggest lovely walks and places of interest to guests in need of a starting point.  We had a very restful stay with them.
