We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again.

Myself and my young Cavapoo, Rose have just stayed for 2 nights. It was not in the centre of town but only a 10 min walk from the centre. The view of Latrigg from my bedroom window was amazing. Lorna is so welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. There is also all the little touches in the room like cotton pads, refreshments etc. Great for a solo traveller & her best friend. Would highly, highly recommend staying here. Thank you for such a lovely time.

An honestly cosy B&B with a good view and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff and service were excellent, as well as being situated in a nice area only a short commute from the town centre. I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly and would definitely book here again!

Amazing B&B
Great host , couldn’t do enough for us, great spacious family room, breakfast was delicious,  loved all the little extras, wine in room, hot chocolate and biscuits etc.  Even our dog got a sausage for breakfast every morning.  Great location it’s a lovely 20 minute walk into Keswick town .

Fantastic welcome, great breakfast and lots of thoughtful extras in our room. The host was very friendly, and took the time to remember our names which made us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble and to top it off, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Two great nights in walking distance to the centre of Keswick.

Once again another fantastic stay at Brookfield Simon n Lorna attentive n helpful as ever stayed in room two this time around ! It has a double bed single bed and sofa situated in the bay window . The room is so spacious , immaculate and stocked up with all your hot drinks biscuits sweets and the usual complimentary two bottles of wine 👌! A flexible couple that allow you to bring takeaways back to the room if need be as the popular Keswick center restaurants are busy ! It’s our last night of a romantic weekend stay so the last bonus will be the hearty full English breakfast provided absolutely beautiful goes without saying we will be back for a third visit soon

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at Brookfield Guest House,we were welcomed at the front door by lorna who was the perfect host and made us feel at home straight away.
 Our room was a double room on the second floor which we found lovely and cosy and well stocked with coffee tea hot chocolate etc and biscuits and the 2 small bottles of wine where a lovely touch.
   The breakfast for me was the standout feature obviously local produce cooked to perfection and full of flavour try the full English if you go I'll wager you'll struggle to finish it but it sets you up if your planning a day on the fells.
 So thank you lorna we hope to return to Keswick in the spring and we will definitely try coming to you 😊

Excellent guest house

Wonderful friendly hosts. Simon couldn't do anything more for you. A great choice of items in your room and in the bathroom.

Really comfy bed and spacious room (we had a family room as brought our pooch with us)

Breakfast was fantastic too. Well cooked, great quality and again, fantastic choice of food.

Would highly recommend and will definitely stay there again. 

Highly recommended B&B with lovely Hosts...

Booked a long weekend at the Brookfield B&B at Keswick through Booking.com for my partner's birthday based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews.  Simon and Lorna contacted me beforehand welcoming us on our stay with them. 

Upon arrival at around lunch time on Friday, we were met by both Simon and Lorna who were both very friendly and welcoming.  We were checked in quickly and given the keys for room 1, a double room with ensuite on the first floor located at the rear of the premises (which had great views of Latrigg). 

Upon entering our room, Simon and Lorna had left a small birthday cake with candle, a birthday banner across the wall and window, a birthday card, a box of roses and three small bottles of wine.  A really nice, touching and personal thought.  Thank you! 

Speaking of really nice touches, within our room, there was a good selection of various teas, coffees, biscuits, sugar, milk sashes, two bottles of water etc.  There was also maps of the area and a list of restaurants within Keswick.  

Simon was very helpful with directions to the old railway line, a nice 15 - 20 minute level walk into the top of Keswick by the park.  He also gave us loads of really useful information on walking Latrigg, which we did on Saturday.  Advice on where to start the walk, which trails to follow, which trails not to follow.  The views from Latrigg are breathtaking and well worth the effort. 

Both mornings during our stay, Lorna made a fantastic, tasty, filling, homemade full English breakfast which really sets you up for the day.

Overall, we had a great weekend which was made so much better by the personal touches and friendly approach of both Simon and Lorna.  They really do go that extra mile.  I whole heartedly recommend the Brookfield B&B and we will definately be back.  Thank you very much for a great weekend!  Kind regards, Kev and Elizabeth. 

A Fantastic Birthday Weekend! 

From arrival Simon and Lorna were so friendly and welcoming! The bnb is a short picturesque walk down a revamped old train line directly into Keswick . It was my partner Debbie’s birthday during our stay and Lorna made her a cake which was on our table at breakfast a lovely gesture! The breakfast was second to none full English all quality especially the bacon and sausage! We had the cosy double room there were chocolates and wine amongst a vast choice of hot drinks n bottled water .  Room was nice n quiet and the bed was lovely and comfortable we will definitely be returning!!

Brookfield bnb a home from home !

Hosts couldn’t do enough, all the little touches made a big impact. Breakfast choices were amazing, and so lovely. The biscuits and variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolates got replaced once used in the room everyday. Good base for exploring Keswick, just a 15/20 minutes walk in. Clean room, parking was across the road but we got parked there everyday.
