We stayed here (on our second attempt due to us catching covid) for our wedding anniversary. 
Room 1 was fantastic and the views great. Breakfast was delivered to our room both mornings as the breakfast room was closed. We pre-ordered the night before and the selection was still really good.
Can't recommend this B&B enough as the location is ideal plus parking.
We will be back.

We stayed in the smallest room 3, it was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were great, really set us up for the day. 

Clare and Robin were great hosts, but not at all intrusive. The off-street parking was particularly useful to have in a busy town like Keswick. And it's a really good location, just a few minutes walk into town down the street, or you can go walk to town via the park if you walk up the street.

Ellergill is a lovely little B &B located in Keswick town centre.  The owners Robin and Clare are very friendly and welcoming and provide a lovely breakfast which is delivered to your room to minimise the risk of Covid.  This is perfect for those who enjoy a lazy, quiet breakfast.  The B & B itself is clean and comfortable and has everything you need in the room.  There is also allocated parking for guests in the street. The location is fabulous for shoppers, walkers and those who like to eat out.  Keswick has something to offer everyone and Ellergill is the perfect base to explore it.

Two years ago, my girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay at this perfectly located guest house. Well, the world we live in is now a dramatically different place. Not only are we adjusting to a bizzarre new way of living, that girlfriend of mine is now my wife. 

Anyway, enough of that, after working our way through lockdown, we decided we needed a well-earned holiday in the Lakes. There was no other place to go, than this delightful establishment. We contemplated booking one of the deluxe rooms (1 and 2, I think), but we stuck to the smaller yet incredibly cosy Room 3, with its excellent view.

Now, for obvious reasons, there have been changes to the way things are done here. The most obvious difference is that breakfast is no longer served in the dining room. Instead, it is left outside your door at an agreed time (8.30 or 9.00). As previous, you specify what you wish to eat and that's what you get. Personally, I preferred this way, as it meant I didn't have to leap out of bed and rush downstairs. Plus, who doesn't love breakfast in bed?

Another change is that the rooms and bedding don't get cleaned for the duration of your stay. That's fine by me, as the missus and I aren't particularly messy and we both have above average standards of personal hygiene. 

Overall, clean and cosy rooms, decent breakfasts and two very pleasant and welcoming hosts make for a great stay. Well done Robin and Clare, an easy five stars for you!

Very well presented and clean b&b. The breakfast is really good, very filling and a good selection, all served to your room with the current situation.

Robin & Claire are lovely host's, very good at social distancing while being able to make you feel comfortable and welcoming.

Be aware of the parking, there is space for each room however two of the spaces get blocked in by the front two spaces, so you are asked to leave a car key in your bedroom incase of an emergency or the other guests need to leave. We were fine leaving our key in the room, but I understand some people might not like the idea of this. And the space for the car parking is a little tight to get into. 

As for the B&B it's self, spot on and we are looking forward to stopping here again. 

Visited here for two nights, Clare and Robin were fantastic hosts, friendly and full of helpful information. The room was well set out with everything necessary for a comfortable stay (including lovely hot chocolate and chocolate biscuits). The whole place was well kept and well presented and felt like a home from home. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty with plenty of extras available and a good variety of choice for the meal itself. 

The location was ideal for wandering into town or heading to the nearby park. A good base for local walks and lots of information available for anyone wanting to go exploring the beautiful local area. 

We really  enjoyed our stay, looking forward to visiting again.

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Ellergill. We had a cosy en suite double on the first floor with a good breakfast every morning. Private parking is available although we managed to park on the street close by most of the time and the guesthouse is close to the centre of Keswick. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and interested in our plans for the day. We’d happily stay here again whilst visiting Keswick in the future.

Everything at ellergill was above and beyond what I expected from a BnB. The food was excellent if you like an english breakfast, the hosts were kind, welcoming, and very helpful answering questions about local restaurants and hikes in Keswick (If you are at all athletic and are staying in Keswick I would highly reccomend climbing Mt. Skiddaw. The views rival the rockies in America, and the hike is long but gradual, such that you feel accomplished upon reaching the top while still enjoying the journey up.) The rooms were comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom. On top of that, they were large enough to have multiple beds, lots of extra space, and nice leather chairs. 11/10 would stay again.

This is an amazing B and B! The owners are very helpful and kind and there are many fantastic amenities. The rooms are clean and cozy and come with a tray loaded with tea coffee and snacks. The provided breakfast is delicious and home cooked with options for everyone. The location is also excellent with the center of town being a couple minutes walk away. It is also located down the road from a small park. Another much larger park is about a kilometer away from the B and B. It has a path that loops around the lake for a total of 9 miles which is great for running on. The town is surrounded by gorgeous peaks that are great for hiking. You can walk directly to the trails from the B and B. The mountains are gorgeous, especially skiddaw, which has a great 13 mile loop if you go around the back, or a shorter path straight up. I would 100% recommend this B and B for anyone visiting the Lake District.

Beautiful B and B with great service and easy accessibility to hikes, runs and good food.

Ellergill is a little gem in central Keswick.  Great location and so close to all amenities and restaurants.  The hosts were lovely and looked after us very well.  We were in Room 4 which is at the top of the building.  Lovely room very spacious and great views of the fells!  Great breakfast - you have to fill in what you would like in the evening for the following day and everything was ready for you when you came down in the morning.  Lovely little touches in the bedroom, tea, coffee, water and fresh milk.  Would definitely recommend and would revisit.  Thank you!
