My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a night in Lane Ends House near the end of our month long travels in Scotland and the north of England. It was lovely stay! The owners were friendly and helpful, the room and bath were very clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was great, there is off street parking and the N Yorkshire views were fantastic. We offer only one caveat...the double room is very small and would be a problem if you are carrying a lot of luggage we weren't and if you aren't either this is a great choice in Cowling. There is a possible sad side, the facility was on the real estate market for sale in May of 2015 so only time will tell whether a new owner will uphold the high standards or even continue to accept guests.
