I regularly stay at this hotel when visiting the area for work. The staff there are always friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and what you would expect at a Premier Inn. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet during the night. The pub next door does a great breakfast and the evening meals are value for money.

We arrived as a family of 3 and had rooms 19 & 21 interconnecting accessible rooms as our daughter is confined to a wheelchair & the facilities were outstanding, but what makes this Premier Inn outstanding is the members of staff they just can not do enough to help & advise you.Special mention to Susan & Jade but also all staff members are OUTSTANDING.

Very pleasant stay working it made the difference to have friendly staff and a comfy room with a really good shower in a twin room with a bath facilities were good and clean food wasn’t bad either and only a stones throw away 

Everything was perfect not one complaint had a great night sleep location was good right round corner from few shops the price was decent can’t complain with that overall everything was decent not a problem at all

On arrival we had a no fuss check-in with friendly staff. Our room was clean and quiet, as expected. Our breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about. We had our evening meal elsewhere but had a nightcap at the bar later. Service was friendly and prompt. Look forward to our next visit. 

North Shields premier inn is perfect for a short getaway. The hotel is clean the staff are always welcoming and the always consistent. We have visited this hotel 4 times now and we would definitely return. The staff are brilliant with my autist son and don’t make me feel be littled by his autism. I was disappointed with the food at the brewers fayre there food quality has gone back over which is unusual for them steak was way over cooked and I ordered rare it was not pink at all. Sunday carvery gravy was like water and beef was very chewy and uncuttable which yet again is not like this restaurant. The play facilities for children are fantastic at this hotel indoor and out door play area which means I can relax a little bit whilst he burns off energy. Abi the young waitress is a breath of fresh air to the restaurant. She is very considerate asking if everything is ok and both days we stayed at the hotel she gave us such a nice friendly welcome on entering the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble to her. I explained my child’s obsession with hoovers to her and after that she ensured no hoovers where left out when she knew we where entering the restaurant taking a lot of stress off me. I hope she gets credit for the work she does. Also the manager who was saw for breakfast on the Sunday morning I always recognise his face when we visit I don’t recall his name but he’s always helpful and gives us a warm welcome and called our last visit which was new year 2023 which I think is a nice touch considering how many customers he sees a day. All in all another pleasant stay at premier inn North Shields see yous in October! 

Room was clean and bed very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful, Fiona, Susan and Jade have been very helpful been staying 3/4 nights a week since the beginning of December. Made to feel most welcome.

Brilliant staff!, Fiona, Susan and Nicola especially were so friendly, food was great and service throughout the stay couldn’t have been better
Room was clean and sanitary and being particular myself i was very impressed.

The rooms are large, clean, equipped with comfy beds, there is a bruars next door for a pint and food.

What really makes this hotel stand out from the others is the staff. Finlee & Susan just to name a few at reception could not be nicer or more helpful if they tried. If you have any issues they do there absolute best to try resolve anything and they are very down to earth too. 

Overall am very happy in here.

I'm spending my final night here at Premier Inn at Royal Quay in North Shields, Newcastle.

I'm very happy with my experience as it's my first personal experience at a hotel and due to a family bereavement where I live in Glasgow I came to Newcastle because of happier times as a kid travelling to Netherlands from DFDS Seaways at Port Of Tyne which is beside this hotel.

Member of Staff Jade was my first port of call as I wrongly got off at the wrong Metro stop, I got off of North Shields Metro stop and I called for help and Jade was the one to help me, for those travelling I suggest getting off at Percy Main Metro stop and walk down Burdon Road onto Nelson Terrace (right hand side is Percy Main Primary School and you take a left at the roundabout and then the next roundabout take 2nd exit and you'll see Premier Inn at the top of Coble Dene Road.

Hotel in it's self I am really satisfied with, bed really comfortable and staff are really friendly I myself spoke with Jade more than other members of staff but everyone I dealt with I really can't fault. 

Would I come back? Yes I would

The premier inn was good but the breakfast next morning was buffet style and everything was stone cold
 Even the coffee was only lukewarm 
In our opinion it needs to go back to waitress service when the food was hot. Out of a 3 night stay only had 1 breakfast as the first mornings was cold. Bought fruit for the other mornings.

Always a great stay

The staff were run ragged, we got them some chocolates as they couldn’t work any harder but it was so busy they couldn’t keep up and all looked exhausted - the wait for the table were 30 min then wait for food and drink etc took a long time to have breakfast - the single bed was rock hard but double was nice - the room overall was lovely but coffee not restocked and room was very hot even with fan in and no window to open

My wife and I stayed 2 nights for a part business / part city break.
Ideal location a few minutes from the business location my wife was visiting, 20 minutes in an uber into Newcastle, and good wifi for me to work from the hotel.

 Very comfortable bed (new Silent Night), warm room in a cold snap, and with a pub next door with decent pub grub - classic Premier Inn recipe. The shower could have been a bit more powerful, but otherwise an ideal room for a couple of nights at a reasonable price.

The staff stood out though - professional, very friendly, very helpful - lovely people - all of them.

Highly recommend!

Happy First Timer

The whole of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, supportive and nothing appeared to be too much of a problem to sort out. From the moment of check in to the departure the staff we encountered were always smiling and friendly. 
The only issue was the car park had very little light. Which might not be a premier inn responsibility! 
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Teas and coffee etc were provided in the room and extra items  in the reception area if you so required. 


Our stay

I've stayed at this hotel many times and always found it excellent, for friendliness, cleanliness and location, but this stay was exceptional, mainly because of Fiona in front of house - she was excellent all weekend, being friendly, chatty and helpful.
To be fair, all of the staff my friends and I encountered were friendly and helpful, but Fiona really stood out - thanks Fiona.
