Premier Inn South Shields Port Of Tyne

2 planes and 3 trains later we arrived to a friendly welcome a warm and very clean room and possibly the greatest shower in England. 

The bed is firm but still soft and the room is spacious. The bathroom was clean and again, that shower was glorious. Only stayed one night this time and didn't try the food but it looks very nice and the dining room etc was cute, clean and very pleasant. 

Will come back here for a few nights in the summer. Lovely. Thanks to the man and women on the check-in for being lovely and helpful.

Amazing staff at the reception in particular Valerie and Helen that were super accomadating in the buffet restarant. We arrived as a party of 13 and nothing was trouble to both of them. 

They worked great as a team and felt very well looked after. All my family said mentioned the fact that they were both super lovely ladies and why couldn't all hotel staff be as nice as them. 

There was also an extremely pleasant chap on reception who allowed us to check in early and allow us to drop off our bags as we had a family party. This allowed us to freshen up and get changed. 

Little things like this go a long way and we were super impressed with his attitude and proffesionalsm.  

Thanks for a lovely stay and please praise these wonderful members of staff Premiere Inn Management. You don't get much better staff than the team you have in South Shields :)

What a fantastic warm welcome which continued throughout our one night stay. We were greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist on the Saturday afternoon. She booked us in and gave advice on where the nearest eating places were. Our room was clean, large and just what we wanted and even though on a main road the traffic couldn't be heard. The evening receptionist Debbie was very helpful too as I thought my bath didn't have a plug so she sourced me a new one (I hadn't realised the plug was there and sat inside the overflow, doh!). The night porter was friendly too. Breakfast on Sunday was probably one of the best I have eaten in any hotel and we loved the decor and upholstered furnishings. There were 5 of us in our group and we all opted for full cooked breakfasts and the choice was great> The chef was lovely and helpful and certainly know hoe to cook well presented tasy food and the young lady who showed us to a table and offered us porridge, a choice of  how we wanted our eggs cooked etc was so pleasant and even hummed to herself while cleaning up, always a sign of a happy employee. I will definitely return and would recommend this Premier Inn to anyone visiting the area. We have certainly seen first hand true Northern friendliness.

Lovely, quiet and clean hotel with exceptional staff. Particular shout out to Debbie for her hospitality. Breakfast was great and everything reasonably priced. Comfortable beds. Would happily stay again if in the area. Highly recommended.

We booked to stay Mid-April - we knew refurbishments were ongoing when we booked, but we had a lovely upgraded room on the 2nd floor anyway which was out of the way of any work being done. The staff were so friendly and helpful - especially the red headed man on reception and the very tall man in the breakfast room.

Breakfast was top notch - an added extra as when we booked there was not breakfast available - the new breakfast room is lovely and nothing was too much to ask (and we’re definitely picky about how things are cooked!) 

Great couple of nights and we’ll definitely be back in the future!

Wow, although this hotel is currently undergoing a full refurbishment. The new bedrooms and breakfast are quite the improvement from both what they used to be and most other premier inns!

I did not have breakfast but was allowed in the breakfast room to have a coffee in the evening. The changes in this hotel were much needed. 

Quite the impressive upgrade

The NEW breakfast facility is excellent.
The attached restaurant closed last year leaving a bit of a shortfall in this excellent and very friendly place to stay in South Shields.
The future of this Premier Inn has been assessed as highly necessary and the refurbishment of the facilities has begun.
The main addition is a breakfast facility, as there are little or no equivalents within immediate walking distance.  The remedy was to convert some ground floor rooms to accommodate kitchen and seating areas.  As this is new it is outstanding in decor (and staff).  
What a welcome addition to a venue that we have vistied several times  in the past few years.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to used the brand new breakfast room. The breakfast room is very comfortable and homely, the staff were amazing and food was absolutely top notch. So would totally recommend for anyone wanting to stay there and try it

Visited the new breakfast room of the Premier Inn South Sheilds . The Staff were more than helpful and gave that  home from home feel. Nothing was rushed and me and the kids were given time to decide. There was a large variety of cereals, croissants and spreads to suit all tastes. I would recommend the cooked breakfast as you can really taste the quality of the food. I enjoy your typical breakfast, and it was nice to be offered vegan sausage and bacon. It was well worth the £10.99 especially since it all you can eat.
