We loved our stay at the Atlantic. The staff were brilliant.Fantastic room and superb service. I would highly recomment it to anyone

I throughly enjoyed my stay at The Atlantic. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The sheets were crisp and of good quality and the towels were soft and well laundered. The Elemis toiletries were a nice touch as was the fan provided in the room. The only issue with my room (1) was the loo seat was loose. I mention it here not to complain but to highlight so it can be addressed. The continental breakfast left a little to be desired but I may have been late as the room was emptying. However the cooked breakfast was very good with the bacon being cooked to perfection. None of that awful, anaemic looking boiled stuff.Dinner was enjoyable with a great seat and good food. My only criticism would be the waitress didn’t present the wine. I was left to open and pour it myself. I know I am being punctilious but there are certain elements of service which can’t be done away with. She was young and perhaps on her first season. What she lacked in etiquette she made up for in promptness and attentiveness so I can’t hold it against her. The location and views afforded are all to be desired. I would recommend anyone to stay at The Atlantic.

Comfortable room with modern bathroom and lovely view over the harbour. Staff were all really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fab. Sitting on the terrace with a drink in the evening looking out over the harbour was fantastic, thank you!

Room as advertised. Over looking harbour. Very comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Quiz night was abit loud but it was all over by 11 pm. Lovely breakfast

Characterful pub and hotel, staff are really friendly and helpful and our room was very nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. Would hesitate to recommend to friends.

Amaizing place just near the port, so very convinient to visit other islands

Truly dog friendly inn.   Fantastic food choice both at breakfast and for dinner.  Wonderful views over harbour from outdoor terraces.  Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

We booked last minute one night for our 40th wedding anniversary. The room was lovely, the bed spacious and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. They had anticipated that we may need an evening meal and reserved a table with no pressure. When they discovered it was our ruby anniversary they gave us a little table in the window overlooking the harbour. It was more expensive than we usually pay but was lovely for a treat.

Lovely relaxing stay

We were greeted by friendly and efficient staff.Our room was modern had all amenities and we had a wonderful view of the bay/harbour area. The owners have clearly spent a lot of money on the place as it is very modern with nice facilities and very pleasant staff who did their best under difficult circumstances. We will definitely be back which speaks volumes

A welcome break from Covid madness

Overall our stay at the Atlantic was a very good one .Very clean ,staff very helpful, good breakfast. Our room overlooked the high street but was still quiet at night .Dining room looks out to the harbour, nice views! Nice room but a bit small but I think this is reflected in the price. My only niggle  was we had a winter duvet and the room was very warm not sure if they supply thinner duvet .

Atlantic hotel stay

We enjoined our stay. However considering the price of the rooms, we feel there is room for improvement. Firstly I would expect toiletries in the room. The staff individually were good, especially the reception staff. There seemed a distinct lack of communication and attention to detail amongst the others-nice young people probably doing holiday jobs. Having been invited to bring our little dog, our dining arrangements were poor. We are well seasoned travellers and love Scilly but come on St Austell breweries up your game a bit!!

Room for improvement!

Easily accessible from harbour. Pleasant hotel attached to & part of St Austell pub group. Backs onto beach & harbour so lovely views from breakfast dining area which for some reason is closed during the evening when dining tables are at a premium?? Saw very little of hotel staff except in the morning as main focus seems to be on running the pub. Just collected my room key myself from reception area as sign refers you to manager at bar who is too busy serving drinks! No encouragement for hotel guests to eat in the pub other than to pre-book a table in the morning, thereafter, you're treated like any other punter off the street. Guess because they're a busy pub they don't feel they need to try too hard. Food decent but not exceptional. Hotel room ok but bathroom lacked a stand up shower so had to sit in bath! Our stay was more about the place rather than anything the hotel did. It merely served its purpose to provide a bed & breakfast service.

Close to harbour in Hugh Town

Check in was not until 3PM, got to hotel at about 11AM and the very kind lady said our room was nearly ready, approx. 1 hour - so we got to our room 3 hours early which was great. We had room 18 - mattress was rock hard, that was the only problem, apart from that the room was fine. Location is pretty much in the centre, only a few seconds walk to banks and shops. The food in the pub was excellent, small choice and limited specials board - prices were the same as a mainland pub. overall very good, would go back again in a heartbeat.

Overall very good

A warm welcome and we were able to check in early as our room was ready. Friendly helpful staff in both hotel itself and restaurant; wonderful sea views whilst dining. Hotel had previously been three separate properties, now made into one large one and our room was quite remote from reception. The room was very quiet and comfortable with an excellent view of St Mary harbour. Breakfast were excellent and we also took one evening meal at the hotel which was also excellent. Hotel staff looked after our luggage on the last day while we made the most of our time and were waiting for transport back to the airport.

Well positioned hotel, close to town beaches.

Lovely hotel close to all amenities especially for catching the early boats .choose a sea view room worth the extra .Need to book your table in the morning if you want dinner its very popular and excellent choice of food .Lots of stairs to climb which didn't bother us but our room was a bit small , I would imagine the twin rooms are bigger . All in all a lovely stay .
