Caladh Guest House

We arrived at the Caladh, which is 6 miles north of Portree. Signs visible, easy to find - GPS works if you use Waze or Google Maps. It is a little pricey for what is offered compared with other b&bs, but it's all about location. We could not find an affordable b&b on short notice, as most of the town is booked through the beginning of October. We booked through a late room website, as we're planning our trip day-to-day and drove from Nairn. On arrival, the property overlooked a lovely loch (as did our room). We were greeted by a lovely lady who rushed to find a first aid kit for me, as I'd literally fallen an hour ago and took most of the skin off of my knee (very sweet of her, since the co-op in town doesn't even carry triple antibiotic ointment). She gave us the tour. Bed was lovely. Bath clean. We knew that we weren't getting our standard clawfoot bath and four-post bed - but I have no complaints. Lovely welcome. See pics.
