This place was perfect in every way. First of all, so charming! I didnt want to stay in a chain hotel in a city as historic as Edinburgh and this place definitely fit the vibe I was looking for. It's a historic house kept very true to the original style. The dining area is adorable. We stayed in 108 and loved it. Large armoire with mini fridge inside, a copper soaking tub and large four-poster bed with mirrored canopy. We knocked our knees and heads on various parts of the bed frame so be careful. The mirrors above the bed were... interesting. Haha The location was absolutely perfect. Busses literally right out front of the hotel that take you anywhere. The train station is 8 minutes away for day trips to Glasgow or Stirling castle, etc. The staff are lovely, so accommodating and helpful. Didn't want to leave!!
