Dove Lodge

We booked for four nights, were welcomed on arrival, assisted with our luggage and settled in. The rooms are simple, but fully stocked with every small amenity one could think of. A fridge on the landing is stocked with fresh milk and other supplies. The level of hygiene was impeccable as was the attention to our comfort and enjoyment. The hosts, Doug and Mo, an older couple running the B and B, actually built Dove Lodge and also live there. They personally cook the breakfast to order - the dining room table setting is an experience itself. Home made jams, preserves and bread, carefully served tea and coffee, toast to order - the works. We were charmed by the couple and loved listening to Doug's stories - they have had an interesting, full, but not always easy life, now making the most of every day and caring for their many visitors.
