The Ship

A very enjoyable stay. We went for one night and will definitely be returning. The staff are very friendly and the whole place has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable. Even had a fridge stocked with water and milk. Dinner was exceptional as was the full English breakfast.

Well it was Norfolk Restaurant Week! So we were tempted by the menu on offer from the Ship Hotel in Brancaster. It is a hotel but what attracted us was the country inn atmosphere. Dinner featured some gorgeous Norfolk Smoked Mackerel pate, Sea Bream, plus delicious puds. Very friendly service and a nice cosy room. Lovely breakfast, with a whole honeycomb on offer! We will definitely be returning...

Wow! A memorable Norfolk jewel of a hotel. Great and friendly service. We stayed in the Holkham suite which is tastefully decorated, spacious, comfy and cosy. We had dinner In the hotel restaurant, on both nights the food was absolutely delicious. There was a fine range of dishes on the menu, with dietary requirements catered for including gluten free. The breakfast options catered for all tastes. There was attention to detail in every aspect of our stay and we couldn't fault anything. Perfectly located to visit popular Norfolk sites. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

This was our second stay here this year, we stayed for 3 nights . The staff were excellent and the food at breakfast and in the restaurant was equally as good. Great atmosphere in the bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Will definitely return.

Extremely comfortable and friendly hotel with excellent staff. The food is very good also. Lovely comfortable bed . 
Only blip was arrived back at 9 pm on the Sunday evening and the bar was closed so not able to enjoy a night cap . Otherwise everything was very good . 
We ate in the restaurant and food and service were excellent. Much better than some pretentious places nearby

What a lovely experience! We booked last minute for Saturday night and what a treat it was!  Our room was spacious and very well equipped, even for our two Labradors who were spoilt rotten. Scrupulously clean and comfy dog beds, their own towels, water bowl and treats were waiting for them. The humans were well looked after too! Without exception, the staff were a delight, lovely atmosphere amongst them on a busy Saturday night, obviously a great team!  Dinner was lovely and service efficient. Breakfast was delicious! (oh and the dogs loved the sausages!).  Lovely walks from the door down to the beach to work up an appetite... what more could we ask for!

Seven of us visited the Ship Hotel on Boxing Day. We were hugely impressed by the quality of the food and the service. The seabass was beautifully cooked and very full of flavour. In fact, you could say that it was to die for!

Great to be back at the Ship.  Friendly staff and great evening meal . Room was lovely; clean , super warm and well equipped with coffee/tea and bottled water .  Great choice at breakfast both buffet and cooked to order .

Lovely cheeky little getaway!

The Ship Hotel is the jewel in Brancaster's crown. My room can only be described as sumptuous - no ifs, no buts. The staff were very attentive and engaging throughout, keen to make sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. I had a very enjoyable evening meal in the ambient restaurant which offered lots of local produce. My breakfast was fresh and cooked to order, served promptly with lots to choose from. I highly recommend The Ship Hotel at Brancaster.

Great place to stay.

Booked for Sunday lunch before leaving for our holiday. Thought it might be busy and it was. Met up with a friend and everything was very nice. The Sunday menu was a bit limited but the food and service were both good. We finished off our meal outside for coffee which was a nice touch.
