Luxury Escape

Stayed here a number of times in the summer months but a winter stay was a revelation. Although I prefer the annex because it is lighter, the garden room is spacious, comfortable and luxurious. 
The wildlife is wonderful - huge skeins of geese every morning. Walks from the front door are amongst the best in Norfolk.

Magazine wood is absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to book again. The property is beautiful and perfect for dog walking. Everything was seamless. Thank you! We wished we had booked to stay longer and make use of the in room spa facility but there is always next time.

Lovely location, beautiful views, peace and quiet, comfy bed, powerful shower and a delicious, hearty breakfast. In other words, just perfect! I only wish we had stayed longer - one night is not enough!

We loved everything about our stay at Magazine Wood! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was provided in the room and was beautifully arranged - there was a good choice and it was a perfect start to the day. It was lovely to have both a bath and a shower -  really liked the products provided. 
The location is absolutely stunning - and visiting in autumn we were treated to gorgeous colours and easily accessible walks. Thank you :)

Me and my friend went to have some relaxing time and stayed in a room called coast. It was amazing so luxurious warm and the finishing touches made it.
The breakfast was wonderful.

Fiona and I booked a four night stay in December. We stayed in a room called walkers. The room was warm, very very comfortable and equipped to a high standard. It is obvious that a lot of thought had gone into the layout and furnishings. The shower/bathroom had everything one could need, with a full range of toiletries and very nice fluffy towels, which were changed every day. Couldn't fault the place at all even had we wanted to. Pip, the owner was, open and friendly, and we would not hesitate to recommend.

It was our first time in Norfolk and we wanted to stay somewhere that was modern but that had an old timey charm and was away from the hustle and bustle. This was the perfect place! The room is very big and spacious, with ample parking and the cooked breakfast was superb. We liked the little touches that made it feel luxurious. For people who enjoy a nice walk in nature, there is a great trail that leads all the way to the beach (about 5 miles) and that trail starts from the property. There are a lot of little villages along the way and the property is surrounded by fields. We would come back in a heartbeat!

A last minute stay for myself, the wife and our dog! We all had an amazing time, felt extremely welcome, the breakfast was great, the location excellent to visit Sandringham as well as the rest of North Norfolk! We  are already looking forward to our next visit!

Had a very nice weekend stay everything about this wonderfull place was great the service and attention from Pip was above and beyond our expectations.  We will definately be returning for another stay in the future.

Magazine Wood deserves its excellent rating.  I stayed in The Garden Room which is very spacious as well as comfortable and spotlessly clean.  I loved being able to have breakfast in the room at a time of my choosing.  The fridge was very well stocked including bottles of fresh milk and fruit juice, Yeo Valley yoghurt and fruit salad in addition to the wide range of teas, coffees, cereals, preserves, bread and croissants (cooked breakfast was offered).  Bramley toiletries in the bathroom which has a large walk-in shower in addition to a bath and his and her basins.  It is very peaceful, and set is well manicured gardens.  I had only planned to stay one night as I was attending an event nearby but stayed an additional night as fortunately the room was available.  I would definitely stay again and for longer.

A winter gem

2 couples - cousins. We had the adjoining rooms Coast & Walker. Both roomy & comfortable with the most beautiful views. We didn’t get to use the verandas as it was a tad chilly outside. 
The anytime breakfast was ideal. Choice of breads, croissant, assorted jams, yoghurts, fresh chopped fruits, orange juice & fresh milk. With more than enough for supper too! Honesty wines beers & snacks if you wanted them. 
Cooked breakfast was also available to be brought to your room if wanted. Pip rang to check we had everything we needed   But otherwise left us to enjoy our time there, which we did. 
This visit was to go to Thursford Christmas Spectacular that was about 25min drive. Also well worth a visit. 
We’d love to return & do some of the lovely walks in the area.

Magazine Wood

Absolutely lovely

A great find.

This was our third stay at Magazine Wood and it was just as good as the previous trips. We have stayed in three different rooms and they are all excellent. You can have breakfast delivered to your room or have the cereal, fresh fruit and toast which is in the room. If you want a quiet location, with beautiful surroundings then this is ideal. And the nearest pub is a ten minute walk away.
What's not to like.

It really is as good as the photos.

We had four wonderful nights at Magazine Wood.  The accommodation is to a very high standard with an excellent continental breakfast taken in the privacy of our own room each day.  A cooked breakfast is available at an additional cost if required however the continental breakfast is more than sufficient - Fresh fruit salad, fruit juice, cereals, croissants, white and brown bread,  yogurts, marmalade/jam etc., tea & coffee.

I would not consider staying anywhere else in the area.  Excellent value for money.  Highly recommended.

Superb Luxury Accommodation

A true find for a short break away.  An amazing location that enabled us to escape and rest whilst also being able to visit various places in North Norfolk. The cooked breakfasts to our own room along with the other breakfast items available in the room made a fantastic start to the day whilst we decided what to do looking out across the fields. After busy days out it was great to return to our room with the amazing views as we waited for the glorious sunset, each evening bringing a different view. The accommodation was spotless and we had everything we needed and more. Friendly hosts on hand if required. Thank you and we would return if in the area for another break.

What a find ! Never been to the north Norfolk coast before and we will be back at some point, however the icing on the cake was the accommodation. Location was perfect with its stunning views, quality of the amenity and attention to detail during the stay was perfect. Magazine Wood was  absolutely spotless and the in room continental breakfast was a delight. ( option for a delivered to room full English ).
Owner provided good tips on area and places to eat which was greatly appreciated.
Finally watch the sun go down sitting on the private decking overlooking the best of English countryside with a glass of wine watching the wildlife - Perfect !
