The Lodge

I stayed for four nights, and I enjoyed every minute. 
Amazing place to stay. The staff is lovely and attentive. The room was clean. 
I also had meals and drinks, which were nice. 
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for making sure I had an amazing experience!

We had a lovely evening at the Lodge with drinks and a meal. We had drinks in the bar area prior to our meal, the atmosphere was comfortable and friendly. We were shown to a lovely table in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Will definitely revisit when back in the area.

What a great place to stay,  all staff were very friendly,  welcoming & accommodating including our dog, nothing was to much trouble.  Great meals in the bar and lovely breakfast selection.  Our party had 2 small issues resolved quickly by the staff we can’t wait to come back again.

This was our third stay with friends. We always stay in the courtyard rooms because it is more convenient with dogs who might need to ‘go out’. We have tried all of these rooms and each has its own character. Always very comfortable. The bar and restaurant was excellent and all meals delicious. The staff are without exception very friendly and helpful and made a fuss of our dogs. Nothing appears to be any trouble. The fact that fellow guests come back year after year speaks volumes about this hugely relaxing environment. Would be good if the dinner, bed and breakfast tariff could be reinstated. Thanks to all the staff who made this such a pleasant stay

A very warm and excellent welcome with 1st class servic, The team could not be more helpful  and the food was excellent, very wel kept pint of Woodford wherry real ale , very comfortable room , very good choice of food on the breakfast menu , would we go back , yes and will

Just what I needed, 4 nights in the Loft Suite, perfect. Great food and service everyday, except our last breakfast when the toast was cold and the portions smaller than they had been - but I am being super picky!!! and that is the only improvement I can think of. 
I have an eating disorder, but I even got a break from that, as Chef's dinners are amazing, food was really fresh, cooked fresh and brought to our table while it was still hot. This is a real rarity nowadays. Most places deliver warm food, that quickly goes cold, but not here.

We stayed in the boot room, very high standard of cleanliness,  lovely big open fire and the biggest, most comfortable bed I've slept in.
Bar atmosphere and breakfast was really good and the staff really went the extra mile, Ana in particular. Thanks for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is the second time I've stayed at The Lodge.  It's a great place to stay and has a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are lovely with comfy beds and are kept very clean. The food is wonderful, that's what draws me back more than anything and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is really good, a few minutes walk from the beach and the craft centre with bus stops just outside the hotel.  I hope to go back next March for another relaxing break.

we loved The Lodge as a place to stay for 4 nights.  Its in a lovely location, food was excellent, staff are great friendly and helpful, The courtyard room we stayed in was large, modern and well maintained.   Great hotel, bar and restaurant.  Totally worth the cost.  been consistently good over the years we have been going here both as residents and just using bar/restaurant.  Brilliantly close to the beach which was good for us with a doggy.

Back again for another comfortable sat night stay at the Lodge. No hassle, great staff. comfortable refurbished room in old hotel, Quiet, easy parking, walk to the beach.
Good breakfast.
We use it as a base for Holkham beach.
We have been many times to the Lodge and the  associated rentals never had a problem.

One of the best

Near Pefection - just what I needed

4 of us had a Sunday roast in the evening and 1 of us had a veggie wellington.  The food was hot and tasty. It was nice to see an interesting vegetarian option on the menu! Well done chef! 

 It’s a shame that the Yorkshire puddings were only served with beef, we would all have liked one!  Also, we asked for the gravy to be served separately in a jug, when the 5 meals arrived they had gravy all over them (a bit like school dinners!)

Service was good (other than forgetting the jug of gravy!) and drinks at the bar were nice too. 

Nicely decorated inside, bright and airy. 

I would suggest booking here as every single table was taken up.

Great hotel for a short break

Have just spent a couple of nights at The Lodge and couldn’t have wished for a more relaxing,  chilled and friendly place. The staff were friendly whilst remaining professional and the service was excellent. We were upgraded to the Attic room which was a lovely treat. We had roast beef for Sunday lunch which was perfect and our breakfasts were delicious. Can recommend the Norfolk kippers and definitely the granola for breakfast. 
Compared to some of the more expensive hotels along the North Norfolk coast The Lodge is far superior for cleanliness and friendliness with a super menu to go with it .Thank you for having us

Could not fault a thing

A warm welcome to this delightful hotel on the North Norfolk coast. Excellent ambience, well maintained. An impressive restaurant and equally enjoyable bar. A good choice of meals in the bar and restaurant. Well cooked and presented. Breakfast was also a delight. Spacious and well appointed room. And to cap all that the staff were welcoming, polite and efficient.
