Gate Lodge Guest House

We stayed for a long weekend for 3 nights. The accommodation was lovely and very close to the seafront and local tourist areas. The hosts Stephen and Archie were lovely, very polite and friendly, and on arrival gave us a full tour of Gate Lodge and full run down of the accommodation and the local services. The room (Room 5) was excellent with a nice sea view and very clean with a lovely king size bed, bathroom, TV, sofa, chairs, tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar fridge was provided with a good range of soft and alcoholic drinks all very reasonably priced. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, a very good night's sleep assured!! The bathroom was lovely and clean with nice towels, soaps, shower and bath soaks provided. The bathroom also had some lovely extras included like cotton buds and face wipes provided. The English breakfast in the morning was lovely with a good range of starters also. The breakfast room was lovely and clean with great friendly service from Stephen. All in all a lovely stay and very good value for money. Gate Lodge is a very well run and exceptionally comfortable place to stay. We highly recommend staying here and we will love to stay again in the future. 5 stars all round!!
