Stayed 2 nights, and had the best 2 nights sleep I.ve had in years. Bed was huge and very comfortable, the room and hosts were lovely. The Alpaca's are beatiful. Location is perfect, in the Countryside but near enough to walk into the village. Will definately stay there again

this will be the fourth time i have stayed at Highfield farm having travelled there for work you have every thing you need a comfortable king size bed a place to cook a place to sit the hosts Ian and Kate are very warm and welcoming theres a good pub in the village the Wattis Arms good beer and food, All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Fabulous stay at Highfield Farm ( ‘Wold Escapes’) near the small town of Driffield in East Riding of Yorkshire. Whilst the farm has traditional B&B accommodation, we were in one of the four charming and spacious lodge cabins, full self catering facilities, great bathroom , comfy bed, free Wi-Fi, private bbq, private jacuzzi type outside hot tub on wood decking. Dog friendly. 

Prebook available for cooked breakfast delivered to your cabin, bbq meat platter and other things. Set in open farmland with woodlands backdrop which our cabin viewed across. Competitively priced. Great hosts in Georgina and Jenna - helpful and informative communications. Bookings via Airbnb or direct. I’d recommend a half hour drive to Hornsea on the coast. 

If you’re looking for a chilled out time in tranquil surroundings I’d highly recommend this place. Unsolicited review October 2023.

Down to Hull for a wedding near by  Met by the lovely owner who showed us around where to park etc Had everything you needed plus chickens in the garden and llamas in the field!! Great little kitchen area with table to eat well equipped microwave and fridge which was so handy The bedroom was large just as well as it had the biggest bed I've ever seen super comfy and spotless  Hope to stay again soon when we visit family in Hull 

We stay at Highfield Farm regularly, with friends and are never disappointed, relaxed campsite, lovely hosts, very accommodating, reasonably priced, love sunset strip is amazing, beautiful views. Can't wait to visit again x 

My third year there and not the last. Just such a great place to go to reset away from technology and enjoy the open air. The kids and I loved every minute of it especially feeding the Alpacas. The local area has plenty of places to visit and walk around. Lovely cafes and shops too. 

We absolutely love this campsite. We have been coming here for several years now and never fail to have an amazing time. Owners are always attentive and super friendly. Especially love staying on the 'strip', where on clear nights, you are treat to an amazing sunset view. Facilities are always clean and well maintained. Also they have some of the most gorgeous alpca which you can see playing in the fields. Extremely reasonable prices per pitch, with or with EHU.

Fabulous site, very tidy & clean. Lovely owners who are very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful camping fields. We had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!! We will deffo be back in the future. We loved feeding the alpacas too! 

We stayed at the campsite for 3 nights, the showers and toilets were kept clean, the owner made us very welcome, the Alpaca Tribe are an added bonus, feeding time was fun. An excellent quite site on a working farm.

We recently spent 6 nights at Highfield farm accommodation. A real gem of a place to stay.
Ian and Katie are excellent hosts, friendly and so very helpful. We stayed in the family room, but it is really a suite of rooms.  Good sized entrance hall leading to  a very spacious bathroom off it.  The shower is over the bath but with the best water pressure  that I have ever experienced. Lovely, lovely fluffy towels. Then through to the actual bedroom which is also very very spacious.  We were only two people, but it would accommodate a family very well indeed.  The  king sized bed is super comfortable.  There are full sized bunk beds as well as a proper single bed (not a put-you-up) lovely arm chair and another small chair to relax and watch TV.  The wardrobe is admittedly small, but with plenty of drawer space and hanging hooks in the entrance area we found it adequate.  Also in the living space is a small kitchen area with table and chair set, fridge, microwave sink with draining board and cupboards with all the plates ,cutlery etc. And the touch to make a good self catering holiday perfect - proper wine glasses... well done for that Ian and Katie ,  Also provided a good basket of maps and information leaflets for the area.
Outside the farm and campsite area is great, quiet, nice walks, and we were able to set up our chairs under the trees to enjoy the fabulous weather we had. Ample free parking right outside the rooms
Just super accommodation which I consider we were very fortunate to have found and which I cannot recommend highly enough.  Thank you Ian and Katie

Not just a 'Room'

A gem of a camp site. We spent 4 nights camping at Highfield Farm (2 adults and 2 children)and it is a lovely place. Friendly hosts, great amenities and plenty of space. There are some unique quirks too, such as free range chickens who pop over to say hello. Neighbourhood Alpacas which the owners invited our children to feed and some lovely apple, pear and plum trees for campers to try.

Amenities were very good. Lots of hot water which was included in the price (so no shovelling 50p coins into showers and worrying about running out) and lots of peace and quiet. Fees were very reasonable. We hope to return next year.

A gem of a camp site

We stayed in our campervan and an recommend this lovely rural site with beautiful views it was perfect for our stay. A visiting hedgehog and distant church bells completed the picture and it was handy for visiting Spurn Head and Patrington, which has one of the most beautiful medieval parish churches in the country

Lovely campsite

My husband and I stayed here for Migfest at the beginning of September. It was ideal for our needs; the kitchenette meant we could fix ourselves an early breakfast and be at Spurn (25 minutes away) for sea watching at first light.... well, almost! The room, (6] was very clean, evidently newly decorated;  well equipped apart from there being no hairdryer and no wardrobe, although there was plenty of drawer space. 
A bonus was being able to admire the alpacas as we drove past their enclosure!

Ideal

We stayed here when we attended Spurn MigFest. Ideal for us with a small kitchenette, which meant we could eat when we wanted and make a packed lunch. The room was clean and decorated in country colours. We could see the lovely alpacas from the window. The hosts were very kind and offered us a look round their land for owls. Would recommend staying here

Great base for exploring

Just spent the weekend staying at Highfield Farm. What a find!!! We have parents who live close to Ottringham and we arrived on mass on Sunday, Iain was very welcoming and could not do enough to make sure we were all settled. We had booked a tent with electric hook up, a campervan with electric hook-up, the Shepherd's hut and also a room. 

The room and Shepherd's hut are top quality and very comfortable by all accounts  - I was in the tent!!! The campsite is lovely and quiet and ideal to unwind and sit around talking. 

It's just a real shame it's taken this long to find this gem!!!
