I needed an overnight stay whilst visiting family and Pam was the perfect host - kind, friendly and extremely accommodating. 

With the bustling village of Hoole within walking distance and Chester City a few miles away, this is a perfect location for a short stay or longer break. 

Pam is an excellent host and was very flexible with arrival and departure times, which I was grateful for. Highly recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

Really lovely B and B. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Excellent service including fresh milk for tea in the morning, very tasty breakfast with locally sourced produce. Pam is really welcoming and helpful- hope to return when we next visit family in Chester. Very good value too.

My Mum and I had an enjoyable couple of nights stay. Pam, the owner was very pleasant and always happy to help.

The cooked breakfast was really good and the rooms clean and light. Easy access to bus services. Good value for money. Look forward to staying again.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights while walking and cycling the Wales Coastal Path. Pam was extremely helpful and our excellent breakfasts were cooked to order. The rooms were spacious and we had everything we needed. We hired bikes from her for 2 days and she went out of her way to make sure they suited us.

Fabulous weekend yet again at Victoria Lodge. Pam is the best hostess, breakfasts are lovely and accomodates any allergies. We have been going back year upon year and have already booked for 2024. Its ideally located right opposite hungry horse pub and a walk into Chester Town within 15 minutes. 

I stay with Pam at Victoria Lodge every time I come to the UK. I live in Phoenix AZ, but come to Hoole as my son lives there.
You could not be treated better anywhere you stayed, and Pam makes the finest breakfast I have had in any country, with quality ingredients. I am a food snob so trust on that.

Pam is an excellent very personable hostess.
She had some great advice on where to go & what to see in Chester.
Her breakfasts are very good f quite filling. Pam is also able to vary the breakfast according to your wishes.
Her place is well located in Hoole a quick walk into the old town of Chester.

Both myself and my partner spent an excellent night at
Victoria Lodge. from the  moment we arrived we were greeted with a friendly welcome .  The room was very clean and the  facilities were  all there TV kettle and ironing board . As for having a quiet room we couldn.t asked for more a peaceful room. In the morning we have a Brilliant breakfast. All freshly cooked. The guest house is a short walk to the city centre .  All in All we would go there again.

Amazing Stay! Pam (the owner) is wonderful, super friendly and helpful with everything. Cooked us a really nice full english, eggs cooked how you like them. Served with yogurt, fresh berries, granola and also plenty of cereal choices too.
Rooms very spacious, with really comfortable beds and right comfy pillows. Extra quilts available in the room too.
Bathroom spotless with a powerful shower

LGBT friendly, my self and my partner were made to feel more than welcome. We will 100% return when we can.

Lovely, clean and comfortable bedrooms.  Hostess, Pam, made us very welcome and breakfast was very nice.  Very convenient location for Chester city.  Would certainly stay there when I next visit Chester.

A warm friendly welcome to homely accomodation. Spacious room with good facilities, character-fully appointed. Clean and tidy.
Lovely, optional, breakfast cooked to order. Host couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. 
Excellent local facilities in Hoole and a short walk or bus ride from the City centre.

Some minor points would benefit from attention/update and parking was a little tight. However, Victoria Lodge offered great value for money.

Victoria Lodge superbly located easily within walking distance of Chester. 
Accommodation and breakfasts were most enjoyable together with Pam’s local knowledge and insights made for a memorable weekend stay. 
Very appreciative of Pam’s quick response in returning an item left at the hotel which was a huge bonus.

Hi, I stayed at Victoria Lodge for the best part of 2 months while working in the area.
Lovely accommodation in a great location close to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
The whole place spotless and the Wi-Fi is good. My room had a huge 60" flat screen TV, Walk in shower, Sofa, Tea & Coffee Etc.
The bed was super comfy with quality linen and pillows.
The Host is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable of the local area. 
All in all, a great place to stay. 


Great place to stay.

We booked a short stay at Victoria’s Lodge as we were attending a wedding reception at Chester Zoo, which is conveniently located nearby. The many positive Trip Adviser reviews meant we had high expectations but even these were exceeded during our stay. Pam was a wonderful host. She accommodated a last minute change to our check-in times, even though it was inconvenient for her. She and her lovely home are warm and welcoming. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was generous and included quality muesli, fresh fruit and yogurt along with a superbly cooked full English, and homemade preserves (the damson jam is not to be missed). All in all a wonderful stay.
