Really high level detail finish on lodge with everything needed for the stay, shower in bathroom was amazing, hot tub was really warm, quiet park, lodge was immaculate on arrival and staff very friendly.  I would definitely book the same park and lodge again.

What a brilliant little discovery, a perfect home from home with all the facilities you need.
A curry restaurant/takeaway, shop and fish and chips place close by.
Very clean and just so peaceful.
Couple of blown bulbs but no issues really.

I read some reviews after we’d booked & was a little confused on what we’d find regarding the park being in a housing estate & not a country park. Having now been, I understand why people wrote that, but don’t let that put you off if you’re thinking about staying here.

We arrived early & were fortunate to be able to get into our lodge straight away. The lodge itself was beautiful, with a lounge area, dining table seating 6, breakfast bar & spacious kitchen. There were 2 double bedrooms, 1 being en-suite & 1 twin room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and well equipped. Towels & dishwasher tablets were also provided.

The hot tub was great & regularly maintained by a lovely member of staff throughout our visit. I would say I agree with the negative comments about the wifi, but tbh once out on the decking the signal was much better, so it wasn’t really a problem for us.

This place is perfect if you’re after a quiet break, making your own fun, relaxing in the hot tub, playing board games, and cosying up in front of the tv in the evening. There isn’t a shop onsite, but there is one 2 mins away by car, there’s also an Indian restaurant & social club there too. We used the Indian & I have to say the food was some of the best we’ve had at a restaurant.  

I’d like to give a special mention to George & the rest of the team as I left something behind which they retrieved & are keeping safe for me. They were really friendly & helpful during our stay also, so thank you.

Just home after 3rd visit to Hornbeam lodges in last 5 years.  We repeat visit as the lodges are lush, comfortable, large spaces with 2 proper size single beds  & 1 x king size (suitable for 4 adults). 
Lounge/dining/kitchen  area is modern & a large space with dishwasher & washing machine.  
The location is very quiet, agree with others nothing near to really do & just a small premier shop.  WiFi is limited but we were happy with that. 

We either take a 30min drive to Sidmouth for a lovely day or this time we drove 40 min to Lyme Regis which was also a lovely day out, fish & chips by the seaside delicious.
We then spend days & evenings: chilling, eating, chatting & in the hot tubs.   

Truly a relaxing weekend break with not a lot around to do or see, but it is what you make it.

We have tried other Hoseasons lodge breaks & the lodges are just not as good as Hornbeam hence why we return yearly.  Ready to book 3-4 lodges for 2023 

We always take food for first evening & breakfast.  Tesco, Aldi in Honiton 15 mins drive.  

We love it here at Hornbeam as we know we are guaranteed luxury & comfort & great hot tubs.

Currently here in deluxe spa and pet lodge. We tend to do a yearly lodge break and with our abroad holiday being cancelled last minute due to Covid we searched and found this place.

Reviews put me off as this park was slated for being in a village. Yes you drive through a village but when you’re in the park you wouldn’t even know and can’t see the village from the park so don’t let it deter you.

This is the first time we have visited a lodge with a dog as he’s only 8 months so I was worried a pet friendly lodge would smell of dog and have hair everywhere. I could not be more wrong, well with this place at least. The lodge was spotless on arrival with all modern furnishings. Even have a dishwasher and washing machine which it didn’t state on the website which is a massive bonus.

Lots of room for 2 cars and if you had more there is plenty of space near reception.  

We didn’t book through hoseasons and booked with the park directly. Instructions were not clear of how to pick up keys etc however the girl in reception is the most friendly girl - felt like I’d made a friend on the phone talking to her she’s that nice. 

Lodge decking is gated so complete assurance dog is safe and can roam.

There is a metal grate attached to the lodge if you fancy having a bbq which is an added bonus.

Hot tub is huge - we have a lazy spa at home and this hot tub isn’t very bubbly compared to that however assuming that is so it’s not so noisy for other guests. Hot tub is very private is most of the lodges. Ours looks out the back at trees. 

All in all a great place for a holiday!

Just returned from a week at Hornbeam country park. We had the signature spa 5 which was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our family of 4.
We enjoyed breakfast on the decking in the mornings and the hot tub under the stars every night after putting the kids to bed.
The park was quiet and perfect for social distancing. No facilities and yes is in the middle of a housing estate but I read the reviews so expectations were set and I feel the location and lack of facilities is reflected in the price for a luxury lodge with a hot tub.
There is air con and heating, dishwasher, washer/dryer, DVD player, hairdryer and iron (who would have been helpful to know!) Built in wardrobe in the kids rooms to put suitcases away in. Also a cafetière if you’re a coffee drinker, plus champagne flutes and a wine cooler. 
There is a shop and chip shop about 5 minutes walk away which we discovered on our last day! We visited Lyme Regis, Branscombe, Beer, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Bicton Gardens. Honiton is about 15 minutes drive and there is a tesco and in the town a couple of cafes and a Chinese we got takeaway from one night.
I would recommend if you are happy to travel out in the car every day and want somewhere peaceful where you are left alone and get some privacy. Personally I would expect if it was in a big country park somewhere with amazing views the price would be a lot higher!



We stayed in the signature 8 it was the most beautiful cabin. It had everything you could possibly want, spotlessly clean and much bigger than it looks on the pictures. The hot tub was a massive hit with the children. 
The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. 
This place deserves 10 out of 10 for a relaxing break

I have stayed in about 40 different lodges in the past and this one was by far the best. it was the most beautiful and spotless lodge ( more like a house) 
I give a heartfelt thanks to the receptionist she could not do enough for us and if I could head hunt her I would have her working in torquay for me. 
I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic lodge in a lovely quiet location, couldn’t fault the accommodation , amazing  & luxurious  with a nice hut tub.
Debbie at reception was so helpful, we had left our young daughters bag at home & she went out of her way to lend us some bits , so she went beyond the call of duty.
Would love to come back another time for a longer stay, everything you need is here & lots to do only short drives away, the WiFi was a bit on the weak side but for a rural location can’t really complain.

We stayed for one night at blossom hill park in Devon . The lodge was incredible way past are expectations. The hot tub was fantastic. We had a complementary bottle of persecco and box of chocolates. The lady who checks you in was very helpful and very friendly couldn't ask for more . Very quiet park but that's what we wanted to spend family time together. So thank you Dream Lodge for such a fantastic stay . Definitely will be booking again thank you .

Hornbeam Country Park

Excellent lodges - relaxing

We had a really enjoyable weekend break in the Signature One lodge. 

We had to wait on arrival to access the lodge as it was not quite ready at check in time. We did not mind too much as Sarah, the lady in Reception was extremely apologetic, we found her to be a very helpful and friendly member of staff. 

The lodge was presented really well and we had a very comfortable stay. It is not too overlooked (as some of the lodges are). The terrace was a good size to sit out on when able. A note of caution if booking this lodge through Hoseasons; when we booked they had a picture on their website of the Signature one lodge terrace clearly showing a hot tub. This actual lodge does not have a hot tub and we felt this could be very misleading! 

We also had a problem trying to get through to Hoseasons by telephone when we had a query.  I attempted on 4 occasions and waited 45-60 minutes each time and I gave up in the end! 

A small welcome pack on arrival would have been helpful, maybe just a little amount of tea/coffee to get started. Also some kind of information folder containing useful tips about the local area would be good. 

Overall a really enjoyable and comfortable stay in a lovely lodge of a high standard. 

Lyme Regis is lovely although very busy when we visited! Sidmouth, Exmouth and the smaller pretty village of Beer are also worth visiting. 

We would not hesitate to book another break at Hornbeam, though we would try to book with the park directly rather than via Hoseasons.

Holidayed at lots off lodges with tubs  refreshing to be greeted by the amicable mother daughter duo handed keys and info to lodge location and the only advice given was have fun  no 20 minute lecture and signing of disclaimers that happen at other sites  site not really a country park more a park home site with country side to one side very few lodges have country side views very guite site day and night the lodge was clean comfortable and well equipped even washer dryer and dishwasher even bbq  on decking  and bbqing allowed few minor niggles hot tub cover insulation broke like a jigsaw puzzle pooling water on wet days and requiring sweeping off before use  lack off bread knife or any sharp knife no frying pan although minor things when you pay covid induced premium prices you should get a premium experience belive these lodges are only available through hoseasons  the deluxe spa pet is only for 2 on website although  it is two bedroomed  two bathroomed  sofas and dining table and crockery and cutlery for six ideal located for visits to East Devon and South Dorset coastal resorts

We visited Hornbeam last weekend. Our lodge was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The nicest Lodge we have ever stayed in by far. The hot tub was lovely to have and we used it everyday. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were a little wary due to reviews about its location. Yes the set up is a little different from other parks we've visited with it being located at the bottom of a housing estate, however it didn't affect our stay at all.
The park was lovely and quiet and the perfect place for us to unwind. Lovely and safe for our girls to be able to scoot around.

Lovely family trip

I have recently arrived home from my stay at  Hornbeam Country Park ( Previously know as Blossom Hill Park).

 I made my booking via Dreamlodge Holidays back in November 2018 to find out only this month that this company has now since gone bust ( January 2019). I had been conversing with someone in May 2019 and no one had mentioned that Dreamlodge were no longer in business. I had previously stayed with Dreamlodge in 2017 and had a really great experience and was expecting an email to be sent over to me in regards to booking information, park information and rules however it had reached the week of the booking and nothing had come through! Myself and my party were growing concerned so I called the number found online and was eventually transferred to the Country Park itself to make sure they had the booking correct and were infact expecting our arrival on Monday. I spoke with a lady named Sarah on the phone and was instantly relieved when she told me she definitely had the booking and was actually planning to call me to make sure I had all the information I needed. Sarah really increased my confidence in the stay as she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made me instantly look forward to staying.

We were a party of 8 so we booked 2 lodges  (2 bedrooms each- 1 double with en suite, 1 twin room) which were situated in The Birches. I think there was one other lodge in use in that area so we essentially had the whole place to ourselves and didn't see any other residents or holidaymakers during our 2 night stay.
The lodges were very similar to the ones we had previously stayed in and were fitted with mod cons such as washing machines, tumble dryers, dish washers and unlimited free wifi. Both lodges were very similar in decoration and style and were very cosy in the evenings with the central heating and electric fires in the lounge areas. We made a lot of use out of the hot tubs and even had a bbq on our final night on the patio area. There were tea bags in the kitchens which I think may have been left from previous guests however the lodges are self catering. We visited the local Tesco store to do a quick food shop for the next few days which was a short car drive away. The only real downsides to the lodges were missing amenities we expected- bin bags for the kitchen bin, more toilet roll in the lodges to hand and neither bathrooms in any lodge had handsoap?  I just feel like these items are necessary but if we were told previous to our stay we would have bought them during our food shop? Maybe something to bare in mind when staying. The lodges came with bath towels for everyone however they are slightly on the small side. Im a UK size 10 woman and the towel was a bit small on me, so again bare this in mind when packing. We took beach towels for the hot tub anyway so we had alternatives. 

As we are not local to the area we took advantage of visiting Devon and drove to Exmouth Beach for the day. This was a 40 minute drive from the park and definitely didn't disappoint. If we were staying for longer we would have liked to have had explored more of Devon as it seems to have a lot of tourism and attractions to chose from.

I would book another lodge with Countrywide Park Homes as the service delivered and the standard of lodges are lovely, and hope to make a booking for 2020 soon.
