I stayed at Waratah Lodge for 2 nights and was made to feel welcome through out my stay. The lodge itself was very clean and cosy, and everything i needed was provided,i will definitely be returning, and highly recommend a stay in this cosy lodge.

Absolutely amazing, booked as went to Goodwood Revival and I wish I could give 100/10 couldn't have asked for anything better, Linda and Clive were absolutely superb hosts from the moment we walked in until leaving. Both a lovely couple and made us feel so welcome, and an amazing breakfast in the morning! Everything you could ever want and need. Will absolutely be booking again!

I am 75 and everything at Waratah is just perfect - the location the owners the hospitality the price the bedroom the breakfast room and the wow English breakfast the feeling of love and warmth - such a lovely experience - 12 out of 10  - would thoroughly recommend

A classic that should be valued! Linda and Clive are the most attentive and genuinely caring hosts. From moment we called for directions, upon arrival, throughout of two night stay they couldn't have been more gracious! I'm slightly convinced the room was actually decorated just for us! The modern twist, chic, cute well thought out style was just perfect. We adored the idea of taking our shoes off at the door as it was part of the "at home" feel. We were welcomed as if long lost family and their care and attention was beyond expected. 
The beds are beautifully comfortable and whilst we stayed in the twin room I could swear those are larger than single beds. The pillows were so comfortable and ample towels were ready in such a homely bathroom. So much care and attention has been given to the features that made the room a home from home. 
Now, the breakfast! My. WORD! If you are particular about your eggs (and I didn't think I was) then you must allow Linda to treat you to her fabulous plate. The portion size is huge and the bacon is so thick cut! And by gosh does the lady make a bloody good, proper cuppa!!!! 
We were genuinely made to feel like family and on this beautiful island the Waratah Lodge is now officially our home from home. Thank you both for your warm hospitality and your classic, traditional island home. Exactly what we wanted and needed. You both my our break exactly as it should have been. 

We booked two rooms at Waratah Lodge and were welcomed warmly. We arrived early so were offered tea whilst we waited for our rooms to be ready. Yes, there are no  tea and coffee facilities  in the rooms, but you are encouraged to use the kitchen to make hot drinks.  Lovely clean white bed linen and towels, good freshly cooked breakfast and hospitality.  This is not a hotel, it's a family B&B in the best tradition. Beautiful garden and off street parking. Would highly recommend.

This really is a gem of a find on the island. Very hospitable hosts, lovely clean rooms, good selection for breakfast, and an exquisite garden to relax in - this is a must! We look forward to returning very soon. Thank you ever so much Linda and Clive

On arrival good greeting nice cup of tea. Lovely room good nights sleep. Great breakfast. Lovely lady. Would recommend. Only thing I drove past it twice as it’s just before the bend I had missed it. And before I saw b & b sign it was too late. Am I the only one to miss it? Steve

Joy and I stayed one night. The house is all you could want and would recommend it to anybody staying on Hayling Island. We had a warm welcome, shown to our lovely clean and well prepared bedroom.  You get a coice of 3 breakfasts at a time to suit you. Top notch, high quality food and drinks are provided here. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Well where to start 
You have to take your shoes off (dose not bother me) when you meet the owners which are both very nice!! Go in and have cup of tea and fill ur paper work in.
I went into my room (very red) great if you was with your wife, but all very clean. There was so much stuff (nick nacks) again all very clean. The rooms are a little bit hot but I opened my windows, I was in the red room on the main road and the road was not to noise. The breakfast was big and nice just could have done with a sausage. Also you have to have breakfast at the same table as the rest of the guests so if you don’t like people make sure you eat early or late to miss everyone. 
All in all great host and enjoyed my stay all just a little different.
