Clean room with all facilities. TV tea making  and on suite. Clean room and towels changed every day. Staff very helpful and found me room with easier access. No lift if you have a room on the 1st floor. Breakfast at £8.50 is very good. Good place to catch busesa round the island. No evening meal and no local restaurants or cafes I could find. Need to a short bus ride into town. Can get anywhere from here

The staff are very welcoming but not effusive which we liked.They could not have been kinder or more helpful and did their best to accommodate everyone's needs. This is not a 'boutique' type hotel with expensive interior design but we don't look for that we have other priorities. The room was clean but perhaps an extra comfortable chair might have been good.It got it right in all the areas we care about.

The owner and his daughter are exceptionally helpful. The cleaning staff work like Trojans. 
The hotel is clean and tidy,  if not a little dated. 
But overall when you've got good customer services,  it makes up for a lot. 
We've got a rather boisterous dog and they couldnt be kinder or more accommodating to us.


A lovely place to stay, rooms very clean, stayed here for our 50th anniversary and Ian could not have been more helpful, helped us choose a lovely restaurant for our celebratory meal and told us all about the buses and different places on the island. breakfast was excellent and huge.

short break for 50th anniversary

After my first night I awoke at 6:30 to the sound of an extractor fan starting right outside my window. This appeared to be connected to the kitchen below. The fan ran all day and all the following night and at 6:30 the following morning I awoke to the sound of loud voices and empty bottles being rattled in the kitchen below. A nearby room that others in my family were staying in was fine so I guess I was just unlucky to get the noisy room. Still cost me the full rate though. The hotel and the staff are decent enough but it's a good 20 minute walk up hill from the centre of town. They ran out of eggs at breakfast time and are quite strict about meal times. Don't turn up 1 minute late and expect to get a cooked breakfast.

Kitchen noise woke me up very early each day

The hotel is some distance from the port - get a 41/42 bus from the Port to Cobo Bay/Vazon Bay.

The hotel meets most of the expectations that any hotel should offer - cleanliness, good breakfast (if on offer), friendly staff, a shower that works, quiet room.

However the bed was far too soft for my liking, and the shower needs modernising - badly. The chair was non too comfy either.

BTW, if the hotel reads this. Not too happy with your key security.

Nice Place

The free airport pickup/drop off service was very handy - book in advance. Our room was generally clean and tidy, but rug by the bed was rather grubby. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Bathroom was good with heated towel rail and extra light over basin. Towels were changed regularly. Tea and coffee supplies replenished daily. Feather duvet was too hot, asked for a synthetic one as detailed in their folder - but never got one. Some details in the folder are out of date ie. breakfast times have changed - we nearly missed ours on the first morning. Booked with ebookers.com who did not include breakfast in their price although hotel operates as a B&B. Had to pay additional £8.50 per person at check-out. Takes 15 mins to walk down to the harbour front/shops. Uphill on the way back. Orange pass for the buses very good. £15 lasted us for 6 days. Each journey then only 60p per person instead of £1. Most tourist attractions easily accessible by bus. You need to get the timetable. Buses seem to stop quite early 5-6pm. A few go on till 10pm. Well worth a look are the Guernsey tapestry, Saumares Manor, little chapel, Cornet Castle - cannon fired 12 noon every day. Italian cafe in Sausmarez Park very good and open till late.Trips to neighbouring islands available if weather conditions permit. Would have been nicer if it hadn't rained so much!
