Owner arranged early entry and communicated well over WhatsApp. Room was very comfortable and little touches like the muffin and milk in the fridge for an afternoon cuppa go a long way. Everything was well planned out for breakfast the following Morning and wow what a choice ! House is situated amongst trees and I would highly recommend! Would not hesitate to stay again if I was in the area!

Excellent bed and breakfast on the way to the highlands!  Breakfast was delicious and the hostess was so very kind!

I wish I could give this guesthouse a higher rating than 5! It’s obvious how hard the owners work to give their guests an exceptional experience throughout their stay. 

The house itself is cosy and inviting from the moment you walk through the front door. Our room was well furnished with a small sofa, TV and DVD player (with a good selection of DVDs to choose from), a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities - including fresh milk in the fridge and a welcoming homemade cupcake each! The en-suite was a good size with a powerful hot shower and the bed was extremely comfortable!

My favourite thing about our stay was the breakfast. A wide selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit was readily available on the table to help yourself to, and then you chose which hot breakfast item you’d like off a menu which included items such as a full Scottish plate, salmon and eggs, egg and soldiers etc. 

As we were only here for the one night, we didn’t get a chance to walk into Fort Augustus to see how long the walk would be, but the drive was less than 5 minutes. 

I could happily have spent a week at this guesthouse!

We stayed here for one night on a weekend in September and would definitely return back to this BnB if we are in the area!
Comfiest bed we’ve ever slept in and based in such a lovely area. We absolutely loved the fact there was a DVD player in our room! We also thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the morning. 100% recommend this place to stay!

I stayed at Kettle House for a recent visit to Fort Augustus and can't speak highly enough of the BnB. Aside from being perfectly located for exploring the area, Kettle House was also very comfortable, welcoming, and kitted out with all the amenities one needs for a trip away. Tucked away in the trees and surrounded by charming scenery, the BnB felt like a little treasure. Overall, a wonderful stay at Kettle House, and I'd recommend it to anybody visiting Fort Augustus. 

What a great B&B. We stayed here for one night in early June. The wife, myself and our wee dog. It was perfect.. 100% spot on, great room, great hosts, great breakfast. And the gardens were amazing. Would love to visit again.

This is an utterly STUNNING b and b. The building is set in beautiful grounds. Our top floor room, no2 was in amongst the tree tops. Beds were comfy, small fridge with milk, tea coffee and 2 cakes. The room itself is beautifully decorated and everything is bright and clean. We have pre ordered breakfast, yet to eat, but I’m sure it will be great. The owners are obviously passionate about their b and b and the attention to detail is remarkable. Wi fi works well. This is without doubt one of THE  best b and bs we have ever stayed in, and we’ve been in a few. Thank you Natalie…much appreciated by these 2 weary travellers.

Tucked away, we found the Kettle house nestled in a well looked after country garden. It’s a lovely well presented dog friendly place . Our room was right at the top of the house up a ‘spirally’ type staircase. The room was well presented, clean and cosy. Two little cupcakes and a mini fridge for milk greeted us. WiFi is a bit hit and miss and mobile signal sporadic but hey we need a break from technology at times. This is a B&B only so no food available in the evenings - but there’s plenty of places to eat within a short drive/walk. Beds are really comfortable and we had a great night sleep. We booked our breakfast the night before as requested. I chose scrambled eggs and smoked salmon - my partner chose the Scottish breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and it was the prettiest breakfast table with our own selection of cereals and fruit - perfect . This place is a hidden gem and well worth staying

A hidden gem

Don’t think we have stayed in a better B&B. Communication with host first class, spotlessly clean, great food and very comfortable bed and room.  Wi-Fi first class. Short walk along the canal to locks and restaurants. Great choices at breakfast, caters well for Celiacs. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend.

Can’t recommend enough

We stayed in Kettle House B&B for two nights with our dog, Jura. Firstly having a B&B that took dogs was fantastic. Natalie was so kind to Jura and she was allowed in the garden and breakfast room as well. The breakfast itself was delicious with lots to choose from. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Natalie even made homemade cupcakes and left them in our room each morning which was such a lovely gesture. The check in and check out process was super easy. We walked into the town (Fort Augustus) each day. We decided to take the slightly longer route through the golf course and along the canal, however even then it only took around 20 minutes. Natalie even gave us a map to make sure we didn’t get lost. I would definitely recommend having a car for staying in the bnb, mainly if you wanted to go further than the town for walks/activities etc..lots of space for parking and right outside the bnb too. Would 100% recommend anyway to stay here and if we are back in the area in the future we would definitely stay again! Thanks Natalie and Mark!

Great little B&B with lovely owners and a fab breakfast!

We have just spent seven nights in this amazing B and B. The hosts Natalie and Mark couldn’t be more welcoming. The room was comfortable and spotless with a mini fridge, dvds, disposable cutlery for your use and cupcakes every day! The comfort tray provided was well stocked and there was a little bottle of milk in the fridge. A couple of mornings due to early starts we were unable to make breakfast and Natalie arranged a take away brekkie for us along with some goodies for our trip. There’s a lovely walk across the golf course and along the Caledonian canal into the village, well worth the trip as plenty of places to eat and drink, a few gift shops and  Loch Ness Cruises do pleasure boat and speed boat trips around the Loch from there. If I could give Natalie and Mark a ten I would, this is a hidden gem of a place and they deserve every success! Oh the garden is amazing too! Pure magic

Amazing

Greeted by Natalie, very friendly and gave us directions to take for a walk along the canal to explore and find places to eat. Beautiful garden, lot of work has gone into it it.  The rooms were immaculate, clean and very comfy bed and had  everything that you needed, has a fridge with milk in and homemade muffins which were delicious.  We would definitely return here again.
