199 reviewsThis was our 4th (or 5th?!) visit to Blessingbourne, and we’re already looking forward to the next! As usual, our hosts Colleen and Nick were exceptional! Such a wonderful source of knowledge, from places to visit through to recommended takeaways! We stayed again in the oak tree cabin, which is so very comfortable and cozy, equipped with everything you should need. The cabin has its own private garden, so if you’re bringing your four legged friend, you can be sure it’s secure (Barney loves this! 🐶) You will almost certainly have a visit from lady’s Ruby and Inca (possibly master Hamish if he’s in the mood 🤭) who will let you fuss over them as long as you wish! Barney loves his holiday girlfriends very much, but I’m not sure the feeling is mutual 🙈😂 The grounds are stunning! The views of lough Fada are stunning, as is the landscape and all its creatures! If you’re fortunate (as we were) you may see deer, red squirrels and Colleen mentioned that there are now owls in the area! You’ll also see the resident animals, such as the cows, horses (Toyboy 😍) and the peacocks, one of which roosts in the tree by the cabin of an evening! A wonderful spot, which we become increasingly fond of every time we stay. Thank you so very much Colleen and Nick for your wonderful hospitality! Angela, Robert and Barney 🐶
