What a fabulous place,with beautiful views, Rachael is amazing, caring for all your needs nothing is too much of a problem for her,the facilities are very good,breakfast was excellent location to Bath,Bristol
Cheddar Gorge and beautiful countryside is ideal location.would definitely go back.

We spent two nights at this lovely 17th century farmhouse. Rachael was a wonderful host. Her breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the views and the tranquillity of the setting. She also told us lots about the local area and the history of the farm. It is ideally situated just minutes by car from the Park and Ride into the centre of Bath.

My boyfriend surprised me for a romantic birthday weekend at Rachel & her family's 400yr old cottage /farm in the beautiful village of Doynton 
Picture postcard chocolate box perfect, straight from a Jane Austin book, the cottage was stunning & the gardens beautiful 
We had bedroom 1 in the cottage (the blue room)very cosy & comfortable
Breakfast was delicious and served outside in the sunny garden with beautiful views over the village & valley, with family farm at Spot eager for any left over sausage!
Rachel was very friendly, kind & helpful- thank you for a lovely stay 🤗

When looking to visit Bath with a friend, I found the hotel prices in Bath were extortionate, so opted to stay at nearby Wilkes Farm, which charges much more reasonable prices.  It's only a ten minute drive to the park and ride, and very easy to find, so saved us lots of money to spend on having fun out and about in Bath.
 
We received a warm greeting from lovely Rachel on our arrival, who made us feel very welcome.  Our room was missing an item or two, such as a second bath towel and teabags, but Rachel quickly put this straight when we told her.  She couldn't do enough for us during our short stay, from checking we had our Wifi sorted, to giving us advice over breakfast about attractions in Bath.

The accommodation at Wilkes Farm is comfortable, clean  and quaint. Our room was very large with a beautiful view, and it was nice to have an armchair each to watch TV from after trotting around Bath all day!  The room was initially a bit cold, but Rachel put the heating on for us and it was soon nice and toasty.  The beds were very comfortable and the shower worked well.  The lovely peaceful surroundings made for a good night's sleep.  Breakfast was nice and I thought the fruit salad with fresh blueberries which was waiting for us when we came down was a lovely touch.  Would have liked some baked beans with the cooked breakfast, but that's just me being picky! :-) 

Rachel's affection for her home shows in the way she talks about it, and this gave a nice vibe to our chat over breakfast.  The surrounding countryside is very pretty and would offer a nice walk in itself.  

Overall, I enjoyed my visit so much that I'm going back in a couple of weeks with my husband.  Looking forward to another pleasant stay at Wilkes Farm :-)

From the second my bf and I checked in here we just commented on how lovely a place it is x we (I) just wanted a quiet New Years away from the traditional rubbish of hotels , arguing couples and screaming kids ... ( I have a child , but sometimes it's nice just adults only ) anyways I digress the cross hands pub is within walking distance where they treat you like a local and actually talk you ! Very comfy pleasant and warm ... 
going back to the hostess Rachel ... what a lovely woman , great breakfast and my fella is somewhat a chef himself and he even said how lovely Rachel cooks x , she treats you like a member of the family , no airs or graces and truly had a great time here ... if you want beauty , quiet and a hostess with the mostess !!! Come here , you will not regret x

Stayed for one night, lovely clean en suite room with a very comfortable king size bed.
Gorgeous views of cows in field etc. Floorboards rather creaky but this is all part of the wonderful character of this 17th century farmhouse....along with stunning huge flagstone flooring, huge inglenook fireplace and spiral wooden staircase. If you want a slice of quintissential England, this is the place to come. Delicious breakfast from our lovely very friendly host Rachel.
