We have stayed twice now and it is absolutely fantastic accommodation, nice beds, rooms are clean, lots of space for family dining/cooking/living rooms, all the facility’s required, big garden, lots of bathrooms. Very friendly staff. I would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back

Taxi into town is five pound . Lovely meal in Livingstons ...recommend booking.

My friends and I stayed here a couple of nights, over the Dunoon Revival Festival weekend.
From the minute we walked through the door we were made to feel extremely welcome. The hosts are absolutely lovely, and the banter was fab 😄😂
Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was to die for. They even catered for our need to nurse a bit of a hangover on the second morning!
We will definitely return-a great location, lovely grounds, and the ability to hire the whole place out for family and friends if you wish-something we are looking to do on our next trip.

'Rosscairn guesthouse' has only been owned and run by Joe, Susie Geraldine and Geoff. since last September. The friendly homely atmosphere which greets you on arrival, makes you feel at ease and comfortable.  The pleasantly themed rooms are warm, very clean and extremely comfortable, each room has facilities for making tea or coffee with top ups available as requested. Breakfasts are generous, delicious, freshly cooked and according to choice. Susie and Joe and family will do all they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, they have a wealth of knowledge of the area and of all the many varied visitor attractions available within this fantastically beautiful part of the country, from beaches for the children to forest trails or Botanical and private gardens, all within an easy drive.
The house was built in Victorian times as a family home, and retains many of it's original features including a large garden, It is also available for 'exclusive lets' with all facilities, or as required. There are many improvements, both planned and in the pipeline, and we wish them every success for the future.
We have no hesitation in recommending Rosscairn as a place to stay in Dunoon.

We arrived at Rosscairn as a result of a mix up with our original hotel booking, on the advice of the local Tourist Information Centre.  The proprietors, Alec and Lynn, could not have made us more welcome.  My husband is recovering from a heart attack, and has some fairly specific requirements, and they had no hesitation in helping him as much as they could.  Our room was lovely, with views across their garden and on to the hills.  Breakfast was basically whatever we wanted, plenty of it and perfectly cooked.  We were seeking a totally relaxing break, and had not planned on doing anything at all energetic, and so we spent our time driving to the most beautiful places, recommended by Alec and Lynn, and sampling great food and hospitality.  We have warned them that we will most definitely be back to visit next year!

Over in Dunoon for a family celebration and stayed at the Rosscairn. The guest house has many beautiful original features and is spotlessly clean. Lynn cannot do enough for you and the cooked breakfast is freshly made and lovely, I would have no reservations in recommending this place.

A beautiful part of a beautiful country - Scotland is a favorite destination and Dunoon is a favorite place to visit.
The warmth and friendly atmosphere keeps willing us to return.  
Once you visit Dunoon you will see what we mean and you will want to return again and again.

Stayed here with my wife & son for 2 nights after the hotel we were supposed to be staying at was closed. I was a bit wary when it said no TV's in room but there are 2 TV lounges downstairs to catch up. The family room we had was a large en suite with a double & single bed. Plenty of space & large wardrobe. The only fault in room was the it could do with some blinds or blackout curtains.
Breakfast is included & has cereals, fruit juice, yoghurts, tea & coffee plus a selection of cooked items to order. Found it a bit strange no haggis or tattie scones. 
Its easy to find from the ferry on a quiet side street with private parking. Its about a 20 minute walk into Dunoon.
If you are lucky you might see the deer come into garden to eat from the apple trees.

Booked online via their own website, confirmation e-mail received. Got there and it was closed - owners were in America !!! Left a message on their answer phone and they called back to say that the booking must have been made via a booking agency site as they wouldnt have taken it as they are running down the B&B business! Sort your website out then so that it doesnt accept bookings
