Sutton Vale Country Park

A lovely stay in an apartment. Very comfortable beds, had a lovely nights sleep. Shower was amazing, plenty of room and toiletries for us to use. Nice comfortable sofa and a dining table and chairs. There was a bar onsite too which was a bonus and everyone made us feel really welcome. Beautiful countryside all around and not far from Deal beach. I will definitely be staying here again.

My Parents stayed at Sutton Vale Country Park in September...not the best weather for camping I know, but we had a new arrival to our family so they stayed there, borrowing our caravan for a week.
  They were very happy with the amenities and overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff xx    I have to agree, as we hit a slight snag the day my parents left, but the staff were so helpful and very accommodating which we were very grateful of!!   My parents enjoyed their stay at the Country Park so much that they ended up buying their own caravan once they returned to Cumbria!!  I think that speaks for itself really :-) xx

We've just come back from 6 nights at Sutton Vale.  We had a lovely chilled out time, and it ia definitely on "the list" as somewhere to return to in the future.

The site ia relatively small - a proper "camp round the edge while the kids play in the middle" style of site. 

Facilities were basic but clean and we enjoyed the pool.  Wr didn't eat in the bar but from the time we spent the staff were all mega friendly.  

Its a really welcoming place. The staff are amazing so helpful. Roy is really nice always has time for a chat. And the girls behind the bar, well they make you feel happy with their bubbly personality. Tayla and Rhiannon, lovely girls. It's such a lovely place to come. Will be back. And the food is great as well

I think some of the reviews so far have been a little unfair, we stopped here for 6 nights. There are some things that could be improved, please do yourselves a favour and get rid of the shower block on the camping field. They are cold and uncomfortable to shower in as very small, bear in mind lots off people have to shower with children. That said a short walk away was a lovely shower block, clean, warm, spacious and easy to shower the children. Noise, most nights were peaceful, however some policing does need to take place with large groups. The families were fantastic, however on a couple of occasions there were large groups stopping for a night/two who get very rowdy/loud late into the night. This is not necessarily fault of the site, however, this kind of noise comes with groups and if they are going to be allowed, please warn and police them. Swimming pool.... Change the green netting, it makes the water look yellow/dirty, when in fact it was actually clean and warm enough. On the plus sides, staff very friendly, well maintained on a daily basis, cleaned throughout the day, beautiful and convenient location, large spacious pitches.. we had caravan, awning and car and still had room. Tap for every pitch so very nearly serviced pitches, just need drainage. Overall, when we found the better facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to staying next year. 

We stayed here a couple of nights so we could visit family in the area and do a local parkrun (Walmer and Deal Seafront). Our caravan was roomy with a large living area, two bedrooms and a decent-sized bathroom. As we're vegans and there didn't seem to be much on offer at the bar/restaurant, we just cooked in our caravan. Certainly not a problem as we were happy to chill.
The heated pool was good and we really enjoyed our swim. However, it'd be great if no inflatable rings and jumping were allowed as the pool is not big enough.

We stayed at Sutton Vale in a one bedroom apartment for two nights for a family wedding. 

It’s a good base, close to Deal & Dover.

The apartment was clean and well equipped. Main bedroom bed was comfortable. Sofa bed for kids is good with decent mattress, our son is 5ft 8in so one of the staff gave us a little camp bed for our youngest so they would be more comfortable.

It was very hot in the apartment, we stayed during the august heatwave. Two fans are provided so we had one in each room which made sleeping more comfortable. Windows only open a small amount so the fans were very welcome! 

All in all a good little base for a quick stop over. 

My only criticism would be, we booked the apartment for our family of four so I would have expected it to be set up for four people to sleep. It wasn’t, so be prepared to be making up beds with sheets etc when you arrive. The main bedroom was set up lovely but I had to make and prepare beds for the kids. After a long journey by myself with two kids, in a small apartment during a heatwave this was not fun and not something you would expect to do yourself.

Clean Apartment good for short stop

Caravan very nice, couple of minor issues but nothing major. Booked pre COVID never received booking confirmation and communication lacked but appreciate COVID could have affected this from April onwards. Very accommodating with COVID and were able to pay last minute when we knew it was safe to travel and local attractions open. Main reason for rating is that we booked based on a swimming pool and lounge/bar area. When we got there most of this had been knocked down including the pool. From what we understand this was demolished after we booked. The staff said they told us the facilities had changed but at no point were we told this either in writing or verbally. Website still shows old facilities on their video. Would not stay again based on not receiving what we paid for and lack of facilities and generally seemed to be getting run down. Would be ok if looking for accommodation only without facilities. Would have given 3 stars if we had been made aware of the changes

Don’t expect a pool!

I don't like to leave bad reviews, so i'll try to shine a positive light on this one...
If you enjoy camping in a field will what sounded like 30 revellers, drinking, singing, swearing and partying until 3am, then this is the place for you. Fortunately there appears to be absolutely no control or policing over what goes on in the camping field so you can get away with pretty much anything. Teens were walking past our tent in the early hours, (we're talking 2.00am) "f-ing and blinding" at the top of their voice, shouting across the field to more of their chav mates. We then heard the mother shouting to her kids with the same terrible language, I think a fight between some dads almost kicked off at one stage.
All the while, my wife and I were in our tent, trying and failing to get a 16 month old to sleep. I can only apologise to the other innocent parties about my sons crying throughout the night, but I can assure you it won't have been an issue had the campsite had some kind of vetting policy to keep out the pack of extremely load, abusive utter morons.
At 2.30am, I decided to take my crying baby off the site to give him and the rest of the innocent campers a fighting chance of getting some sleep. We slept in the car in a car park in a remote location. If only some of the other parents on the site would have had the same courtesy. 
My wife told me the following morning that she did get some kind of guilty satisfaction from the fact that within about 20 minutes of the noise dying down after it would seem that the revellers were finally asleep (3.30/4.00am ish), the cockerels started their morning chorus. Karma.
I can appreciate that the campsite may not have known about the party of revellers they had let in, so let's review the rest of the site..
First off, our car reg plate wasn't entered correctly into their system so their security gate wouldn't work for us. We had to wait for someone to leave, then sneak in whilst the barrier was up. To be fair though, when the person checking us in asked whether the last digit of my absolutely standard car registration was a number or a letter, my suspicions should have been raised that we may have an issue. 
The shower block: There were some dusty looking cleaning products in there, but no sign of a cleaner (possibly since the late 80s). I took my lad in there to try and clean the beach off of him. Armed with towels/bags/clothes/toiletries we waded through the mucky floor. Went to hang my stuff on the door hook only to realise that it didn't exist, so carefully balanced my bundle of wares onto the soaking wet stool provided, hit the shower button and was greeted with a jet of scolding water, which would normally be my preference to a cold trickle, but not in 30 degree heat and I didn't fancy the trip to A&E to soothe a baby's 2nd degree burns. Some sort of temperature control would be ideal... And a cleaner to remove the dead moths from the shower floor... and a maintenance guy to fix the door hook.
We soon abandoned that idea, slipped into our (now wet and dirtier than before) clothes and got the heck out of there. We were all tired and had enough.
We were only there for a night (thankfully) so didn't use any of the other facilities so can't comment.
In summary, if you like a rowdy campsite and hate sleeping; this will be right up your alley.
If however, you are a young family who just wanted a site close to some of the lovely beaches, I'd keep searching...

We stayed here for 6 nights on the touring field with other family members, the field was good and spacious for kids to run about. When we see the website and booked it seemed lovely and thought it would be good. When we got there the pitches we were given someone was still on our pitch that was ours the day before just we couldn't get there on that day so had to wait over a hour to finally set up. 
We thought the play park for kids would be a play park but was just a swing set that you would have in your back garden.
Toilets seemed dirty the taps were a nightmare came out cold and went everywhere. The showers on the touring field were cold! 
The bar was small and tables always dirty didnt look like they were cleaned everytime we went in there. The swimming pool was small and very cold! Took my breath away! Was supposed to be a heated swimming pool and the showers at side of swimming pool were freezing and I stood there for a good 5mins and didnt warm up at all! No one was in there supervising if anything went wrong that would of not been good if anything did! Other sites we have been to they have always had a life guard in the swimming pool. The whole experience was just terrible and would not be returning we feel like we have not had a holiday and have wasted our money. The way its advertised you would of thought it would be really good! Not happy at all. Never been to a site like this one before. I feel the people there just dont know what they are doing. We was meant to have a call from the reception regarding the barrier to come in and out but no one called us!! They write bits on paper and then just forget what they are doing. As most of the days we just had people coming over and saying that we were on their pitch but wasnt! Nightmare!!
