We were welcomed by the host with a welcome cup of tea, then taken to lovely rooms with sparkling bathrooms. The house was very well appointed with a beautiful guest lounge. The breakfast was delicious.

Quite simply one of the best B & Bs we have stayed in! Very warm welcome, extremely comfortable bed and excellent large walk-in shower, with bath robes provided too.  

The breakfast was outstanding with attention to detail both in the produce and also the crockery and cutlery, all sparkling. Actually the whole house seems to shine, absolutely spotless. 

There is a large comfortable lounge for guests’ use and we utilised this every night of our 3 night stay. There is also a lovely terrace on the front of the house affording beautiful views of the valley and hills.  

Very good base for Ullapool, Nairn, Falls of Shin or even John O’Groats etc.

This was the first place we stayed when going to Scotland and I cannot say enough about how great it was!  NO other places we stayed over our trip even compared!  The only problem we had was finding it in the dark, but that's because the rental car kept telling us to go down a different road (which was actually a driveway).  When we figured that our, it was easy.

Our host, Helen was just wonderful!!  Rooms were great and the breakfast was fantastic!  We had already booked a different location for our 'exit' (closer to the airport) 14 days later at the end of our journey and I am sorry to say that I wish we had stayed at Tornapress instead.  This quaint, quiet location had great views, really nice beds (we needed that after getting off the plane at 9pm), clean rooms and fantastic host!

This is by far the BEST B&B my wife and I have EVER stayed at!  We'll be recommending this to friends and family wanting to travel in the Inverness area.

Tornapress is perfectly situated just off the A9 in a delightful countryside setting, and proved to be an ideal overnight stop for us on our way North.  The accommodation is first class and Helen is the perfect host, giving us a warm welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival and an excellent cooked breakfast the following morning. Our room was warm, spacious and spotlessly clean, as was the whole house.  Highly recommended!

Situated in a quiet area just off the A9. First class B&B. Clean comfortable bedroom with good size en-suite.  Spacious lounge which is accessible at all times. Breakfast is delicious with a good choice of quality produce. Helen is an excellent hostess and will ensure your stay is enjoyable. 


I think the title says it all, this place was fabulous in every respect from the location to the breakfast. It excelled in all aspects. Helen was an excellent host catering to every request, her home is superb with fantastic attention to detail.

This place is very welcoming, super clean, breakfast gorgeous, surrounding beautiful, lots to do, Helen is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to come back!!! Good place to stay even for a couple of days more :-), :-)))

We could not fault anything! New house with modern, cozy rooms and private parking. The owner of the bed and breakfast is very attentive and hospitable. The selection of different dishes for breakfast is very good and freshly prepared. We felt very comfortable.

beautiful and quiet b & b, nice breakfast, friendly hostess who gave us good walking tips and restaurant tips. Near to Edinburgh, nice walks on Black Island, delicious meals in restaurant within walking disrance
