The most fantastic and quirkiest place we have ever stayed, beautiful location wonderful people and very good food, miss the experience everyday, we arrived as guests and left as friends love the place and the staff, old John and the lady, XXX

Absolutely amazing! 
The food was excellent. Lovely selection of things on the menu, just upset I didn’t have room for pudding as I’m sure they would have been amazing too.
Staff and service were brilliant. 
We will definitely be back again very soon.

Not been here for many years . There was a warm welcome , great choice of beers which are kept well . The food menu has been well thought out with some different varieties which makes them stand out from the crowd .
The food is well priced and well executed and will definitely be returning at the earliest opportunity .
It is a pleasure to visit an establishment where the current owners care about maintenance and decorative order of an old and beautiful building .

Food great(I am gluten intolerant and really appreciated the effort to keep me healthy), comfort slumberland (apart from that mad owl), rooms very clean and tidy, towels and room cleaned every day, internet ok but TV reception patchy - very hot weather may have interfered with the signal, overall atmosphere fantastic relaxed rural and the very professional
staff led to a phenomenal stay. Finally I must mention the manager and the housekeeper great characters and incredibly hard working they have ensured our return.

Lovely spacious outdoor seating area. Dog friendly, good kind friendly staff. Let us order food even though the kitchen was meant to be closed. Lots of veggie options and the pulled pork burger was fantastic. 

I would like to thank The Feathers! The hotel I was booked into didn’t do food on a Monday so had a wander up here and so glad I did! Lovely food, staff and clean friendly atmosphere. They have even offered me breakfast tomorrow at an earlier time than my b&b down the road.

John and his crew could not be more helpful. Breakfast is wide ranging, ample, wholesome, tasty and the cooked breakfast is served piping hot. All tastes and combinations catered for. Evening meals offer a wide range of dishes all of which are excellently prepared.
The bar is comfortable and well stocked while the beer garden provides a huge outdoor space with numerous picnic tables scattered  around. For the little ones there is massive play area adjoining the beer garden. There are a variety of rooms, including comfortable doubles and roomy family rooms and even a separate apartment.
We've been lucky enough to spend a weekend here on three occasions recently and we have never been disappointed.

This was our second visit, and it was delicious, we both had burgers mine was the pork and chorizo and my husbands was the pulled pork one, I have to say best burger ever, it felt like it was homemade no gristle just meat, and the right amount of bun, usually it's all bread, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning it's our new favourite place to eat! And we look forward to trying other things on the menu.
Also I have to mention Finn the young man who served us, he was so nice, just the right amount of attention, when we left we both said that's how it should be when you eat out..... lovely food and lovely staff......hang on to him!

A must visit pub 

Wonderful place, rural, quiet (mostly apart from a mad owl at night)

Stayed here last night and i have to say that we couldn’t of been treated any better anywhere. When we arrived it was so busy and the bar was knee .deep in used empty glasses. We were hoping to order a meal and looking at the bar  thought this was not going to happen or at least not for quite sometime….we were shown to our rooms and quickly went back to the bar to order dinner as expected this to be a very long wait. We were amazed in such a short time the bar had been cleared and it was a breeze to order drinks and our food. It arrived quit quickly and it tasted amazing, The chips were honestly the best I’ve ever had and believe me I’m picky. Also had the chilli con carne which was full of flavour and really nice. The rooms are quite basic but non the less the outstanding hospitality of the owner, his wife ( I believe ) and staff out ranked everything else,  the owners couldn’t of been any more helpful, attentive and welcoming and that to me goes a long way, after the long haul we had through covid it is so lovely to see such establishments make through and certainly lets keep supporting these businesses for us to enjoy before we lose them all together. Thank you guys for being so accommodating during my stay.

If you have ever dreamed of staying at Fawlty Towers, this is the closest you will ever get!  Basil was amazingly authentic and we had to rename the lady behind the bar, Polly. You will get good service, eventually. 

A handy place to stay when visiting Sandringham, but do not miss the old Royal Station complex in Wolferton. This place is not relly ever closed, despite the info. You can't get into the actual satation buildings, but the refurbishment is amazing. Don't miss a visit to the small building at the back of the properrty and a chance to meet the wonderful owner, Richard Brown. It is a privately owned property, housing the Brown family. Nostalgia at its best.

Myself and my friend went for a couple of drinks yesterday, and all the staff apart from 1 individual were very very pleasant.  We decided to order some food, and then go outside as it was lovely and sunny.  We told the owner and no problem.  The waitress bought our food out and spoke to us like we were children mucking her about by going outside.  I went in because I was furious and spoke to owner who agreed it was his fault by not telling her, and it's her 'way'. We shall not be in a rush to come back which is a shame.
