Lovely friendly staff and a great breakfast!

Lovely welcome on arrival. Great size room with a well stocked mini bar (at a cost) which I thought was great. Great choice of breakfast options and my choice of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was cooked perfectly.

Excellent hotel. Amazing breakfast and staff.

It was a beautiful hotel with lots of character. The breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful.

My sister and I met at the coach house for the weekend, and what a fabulous find it was. Zoe, the host could not do enough for us, serving breakfast late so we could  parkrun on Saturday morning. The home made granola was the best. The room was gorgeous and peaceful and comfortable and we could not have asked for more. Highly recommend this place to stay

A great find

10/10 Top place. Was down in Derby for boxing day and the Coach house was super close to where I was visiting. The whole place is amazing and has real character. The room I was in was huge and beautifully decorated. I even had my own little garden and pond. Shower was the best one Ive had in years as well. Loads of options for breakfast. I went for the scrambled eggs on toast and it was amazing. Was great speaking to Rob after my breakfast about the building and the history. Top guy. Had only booked it really as a bed to sleep in but the place over exceeded my expectations and would 100% visit again. Thanks all at The Coach House.

The room was extremely comfortable, warm and cosy, with all the features you need.Loved the whole feel & vibe of the place. "Quirky" features &  great décor, each room decorated differently.A personable welcome from the host -Rob where we were given the information we needed with a welcome cup of tea and delicious chocolate brownie.Good breakfast too. Would happily stop there again.

We booked our stay for two rooms and were delighted to be met on arrival. The welcome was charming and we were immediately made to feel at ease and happy. Information sheets were given to each of us and a booklet found in the room detailed everything you could possibly need during your stay. The WiFi was fine and the honesty bar downstairs was stacked with plenty of booze and soft drinks and crisps and chocolate!! The bedrooms were so comfortable plenty of hot water and a wonderful shower! 
The full English Breakfast in the morning was amazing, beautifully cooked and served with a smile and buckets of coffee and tea. 
All in all it was a very very satisfactory stay. In the 3 years I have been going to Derby to stay regularly by far the best. Way way better than the Hotels and I have tried most of them!

A great find in Derby

We had a lovely stay at The Coach House whilst attending an event in neighbouring Darley Park.  The accommodation was even better than we had expected, the bed was very comfortable and the room was overall.  We loved the decor and styling of the bed and bathroom and had the added extra of a bath with rainshower.  The mini bar was well stocked with a good range of items, but we didnt have time to use or enjoy these given we'd had plenty to eat and drink at the event.  We would recommend and rebook if visit Derby again.  The breakfast was very good, coffee provide at breakfast and in room by cafetiere.  There is also a very nice pub just a couple of minutes walk away and Darley Abbey Village is also close on foot.

Lovely stay- great find!

Such a perfect little oasis!  We stumbled upon this cozy B&B on our way from Devon to Newcastle to visit The Sage.  It was the perfect place to touch down for the night.   The Coach welcome us, our son and our dog for a late night check in.   Even packed a breakfast for us to take away for our 6am departure.   We also had THE BEST takeaway delivered from Masala (if you happen to arrive late like us and miss The Coach House Bistro).   Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

Wish there were more place like this - perfect!

We stayed in room 3 which is the family room. It was set out as a double and 2 singles and we also brought our own cot. We were greeted on arrival, everything about our stay explained. The beds were comfy, a lovely shower and bath in the room.We used the honesty bar downstairs to have a drink in the garden and had the most delicious complementary brownies that went down extremely well with our children! Breakfast was great, a good choice and great quality. Would definitely stay here again.

We have family in the Derby area, and as our family has grown in number we occasionally need to stay in a hotel. The Coach House really is our favourite place to stay in Derby. It's super clean and cosy, with lovely beds, and delightful decor. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff very friendly. 

Wonderful place to stay

Just stayed for the one night. Had my dog with me. Was welcomed by a friendly face on arrival and was immediately made to feel at home.
Sounds a bit snobbish to say but I have to say that everything about The Coach House is classy and of high quality. Clean, olde worlde, just how I like it.
My dog got a lot of attention which was great to see. Comfortable bed, superb shower and was nice to enjoy a cup of Earl Grey in the late afternoon (I am a snob aren’t I).
Really great location for nice walks and local pubs etc. Would have no reservations in recommending to anyone who’s looking for something a bit different, in a good way.

The Coach House was everything you could ask for after a week of walking. My room was comfortable and cosy with lots of nice little touches. The breakfast was great and a special shout-out to the delicious homemade brownies when I arrived. The guest house is located on the outskirts of the lovely Darley Abbey area and is about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Derby.
