What a surprise awaits you after you enter the historic lobby of this exceptionally unique hotel. First, escorted to our room with glasses of prosecco in hand, we encountered a delightful and large rooftop garden. Such a restful place to enjoy views of Calton Hill and Edinburgh. The property may look small but behind the entry is a large property. We found it everything we would want - views, peaceful, comfortable sleep and although a small menu, the food amazing. Amazing just begins to describe the selection of whiskey available to truly enjoy the national drink. We must give a shout out to our bartender Connel whose attentive customer service was only matched by his encyclopedia of knowledge about whiskey (as well as spirits and wine!). He could describe the characters of each and clearly loves sharing. The staff from front desk to breakfast to towel delivery were friendly and service never lacked. Without a doubt selecting Glasshouse for our stay in Edinburgh elevated our entire experience in Scotland.
