Fantastic
601 reviewsWe really liked this place. We had plenty of space, it was a great location. The only thing I didn't like was the bed. It was probably the worst of the 4 places we stayed on this trip. I loved the kitchenette and that I was able to wash our water bottles in the sink! I was able to do laundry, which was great. Granted, there wasn't a dryer, but there was a huge drying rack that worked very well. And I did use the hair dryer to get some pieces drier more quickly. If we had thought ahead, we could have picked up breakfast to fix here. It had an induction cook top and all the amenities. It was a pretty convenient location. While we didn't use it, the new tram had a stop very close. There was a dead-end street right next to it for easy Uber pick up that didn't interrupt traffic on Queen Street. We were able to quickly walk to get food at some really good restaurants. The bathroom shower door was too short, so it was hard not to get water on the floor, but other than that, I was able to put my toiletries on the counters provided and around the tub. We didn't have cleaning service, which was ok. They have cabinets in the reception area so you can get towels and other items if you need them. That was very helpful! We had exactly what we needed. There was no provided breakfast or amenities for that, unless we just didn't know about it. We never really talked to anyone at reception, except to ask, on our way out the first full day, for a non-slip mat for the shower (which was very slippery without the mat). It was in our room when we got home that day, so that was nice. We had a great view of the courtyard, which I kept saying we should go into, but we never did. We were on the street level and never heard the street, again, we faced the courtyard. But because of that, it was so convenient getting our luggage in and out. I liked the sitting area in our room as well and we had plenty of places to put our luggage and organize our luggage. Organizing our luggage because very important at this stage in our trip, since this was our third of 4 cities we visited. I liked being able to have the space to do that. I highly recommend this place, just don't count on the comfiest mattress, unless really firm is your thing. Oh, also, the location. While we were in "New Town" it was so close to "Old Town". We walked everywhere, for the most part. The only time we took transportation, was an uber to Dean's Village, but then we walked from there all the way past the Royal Mile anyway. We also ubered to the train station because we're not ones to haul our luggage a long way. But if you just have a backpack or smaller luggage, you could walk to the train station from here.
