A lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Lovely to see the peacocks wandering the land. Staff were friendly and informative about local area. Would recommend a stay.

We stayed in an delux lodge which was fantastic so big and comfortable beds everything you need for cooking and relaxing a fantastic stay The only downside is lack of Children facilities to play on and the pot holes on entrance but aprt from that cant wait to rebook

Such an Amazing place. Treat yourself to a trip of a lifetime. I stayed here visiting Liskeard, Looe and Polperro. Outstanding natural beauty plus 2 amazing seaside towns. The people of the locale and the staff of this romantically and lovingly kept, bespoke hotel are kind hearted, thoughtful and uplifting.
The restaurant food is amazing, great breakfasts and evening meals. The bar was well stocked and had such a relaxed atmosphere that starting conversations with friends that you hadn't as yet met were very easy to start!
The hotel is positioned in a very rural picturesque area, so make sure that your Sat nav is working well and that it has enough charge to get you and your companion, if you have one to this Awesome destination.

I Absolutely loved staying here and will return, as soon as I possibly can.

First stay here and it will not be the last. The family rooms are superb. Plenty of space, comfortable and quiet. Service was excellent and a big thank you to Rachael, Jane and Leela. Will be back when the weather is a little dryer so we can have a wander through the grounds. Beautiful setting, an easy recommend and well worth a visit.

We stayed as guests attending Trelawny’s Army Supporters Club Dinner event and truly had a memorable evening. 
The rooms were lovely and very comfortable and spotlessly clean and handsomely presented. 
The Dining room was beautifully prepared for us and table settings were lovely and they allowed us to hang Cornish bunting and Club Flags to make it a very special evening for us. 
We booked Pelynt Male Choir to sing post dinner. 
The breakfast was delicious and prepared to order and enjoyed by one and all. Fabulous sausages. All very tasty. 
We really did have one of the best and memorable evenings and really had an enjoyable stay thanks to the wonderful staff who made it all possible.

The wife and myself recently enjoyed a great family and friends party weekend in the hotel.
The staff and management were very friendly and most accommodating, much more the I have experienced in other hotels. 
The restaurant and breakfast food was excellent and the room was very comfortable. 
It is a beautiful hotel set in stunning grounds and beautiful countryside.

I always stay here when on business in the area, it's much the best in the Liskeard area. Lovely scenic location, good food, comfortable rooms and above all very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. A real home from home and a pleasure to stay here

Last minute extra night to our holiday booked in one of the lodges. The lodge was exceptionally well equipped, spacious and very modern with all mod cons. The manor is situated in a very quiet woodland  and has Pony’s on site  and Peacocks roaming the estate. We are in the evening in the restaurant which was also excellent - Crevettes, mussels and sirloin steak were all excellent and fairly priced. The staff on site worked exceptionally hard and couldn’t do enough for you.

Fantastic Lodge

We stayed at the hotel in August 2023.

Plenty of parking on site, a very friendly welcome. It's a country hotel but not at all snobby - young lady on reception was great, checking us in quickly and booking us in for dinner and breakfast.

We booked room 2, double room with balcony. Room was very clean, 4 poster bed and double doors opening on to a nice balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Bathroom and separate toilet all very clean too.

Bar prices aren't the cheapest, but a great selection of drinks and our host from reception served me with the same great sense of humour - turns out we both have the same view of cucumber in gin! 😂

For our evening meal we selected some starters from the menu. They came out in about 10 minutes and were absolutely delicious. You can tell that the paté and scotch eggs were home made and the mini breads freshly baked. Meal for 2 including a glass of wine came to £32, great value and very satisfied.

We'll certainly return here, it's a great atmosphere at reasonable pricing and not far to travel of you want to explore into Cornwall. 

Beautiful country hotel 

Hotel was nice, couldn't fault the staff who were very pleasant and helpful however, the restaurant was very average and really over priced. For the money charged I would expect the food to be home made and it is clearly frozen average pub food that they then charge £18-20 for a main course. Breakfast was also average and expensive! cheap sausages and everything overcooked would have been nice to see some quality local produce used. Missed opportunity

After a harrowing start to our holiday, with 40mph winds destroying our tent, we were very lucky to find refuge in Owl’s Nest Lodge at Great Trethew Manor. It’s brand new and absolutely beautiful! The layout, the decor, the comfort, all of it is gorgeous! On such short notice we could only get one night in the lodge but I would honestly live here if I could! I can’t recommend this place enough. The grounds are gorgeous and all the other lodges here look lovely too. Amazing place! So glad we found it! And I love all the peacocks roaming about! 

Review of Owl’s Nest Lodge at Great Trethew Manor

Wonderful hotel and setting in the countryside. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, room was clean and fresh. Breakfast in the morning very nice. The setting is very good tranquil with peacocks roaming around and a peaceful pond to sit by. We stayed here for 1 night on Sat 27th May as we were going to see Muse in Plymouth. Would definitely recommend this for any events in Plymouth. Tim’s Taxi providing our travel from hotel to Home Park and pick up after, excellent friendly service.

1 Night Stay at this Beautiful Peaceful Hotel

We have just had a fabulous week in Oak Lodge a beautiful welcome hamper is waiting for you no need to take condiments all are there available. You don't need to take your washing home as it can all be done in the lodge to take home clean .
    The Lodge was spotless heating on when we arrived. Beds really comfortable and lovely bedding .
    Morrisons Aldi B/M bargains and Kernow Mill all on the doorstep .
    We sat out sunbathing for 4 days watching the Peacocks on patrol. Lovely to watch the children pony trekking as well .
      We enjoyed it so much we are going back in December  for another week
