Stayed at Brynteg over the weekend, a very clean and tidy park based in beautiful surroundings, GREAT facilities just a shame that the leisure complex isn't open later than 6pm. Reception staff were very helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Nicky was happy and very welcoming and made it a good start to a brilliant holiday.

Just back from a weeks stay in a caravan, what a fantastic site it is! Very well maintained with lots of trees and shrubs etc everywhere, probably the nicest site I have been to.

The site itself was very quiet which I was surprised at for June, although it did get a little bit busier at the weekend but was still quiet.

Swimming pool is brilliant and good temperature. There is a spa room also which was brilliant, its for over 16s only so me and the missus took turns to watch the kids while the other went for a chill! 

The playpark part looked quite new and was a decent size, it is fully fenced in also. My boys are 10 & 7, the younger one played a bit in it but the older was a bit too old for it.

There is a football pitch at the bottom of the site which is good, just a shame we didn’t get the weather to use it much. It would be slightly better if the goals had nets on them tho.

The tennis court was great, very well kept and in good condition so we enjoyed a couple games of tennis and football tennis in the evenings.

I read reviews before we went saying the food in the main restaurant was just ok, if I’m honest I would agree with that. Menu is fairly small with about 8 items I think it was, out of the 8 items on the menu, 3 were curry type. Its maybe aimed at being slightly fancy but not sure it fully worked, although that could just be my personal preference as I’m a fairly plain person. I had the fish and chips, think it was £16, it was ok but maybe slightly expensive for what it was. Don’t get me wrong, it was ok and we would of definitely eaten there again if required. The restaurant itself had a good choice of beers and had plenty of TVs for watching the Euro’s, not sure if they have Sky for showing league matches through the season or not.

We also had pizza’a one night up at the boat house, they was fantastic! What an ace location to sit and have a drink, the views were amazing!

The staff we spoke to while there was all lovely, cant fault any of them at all.

Location ways, the site is quite isolated and didn’t seem to be much within walking distance, but definitely a great base for exploring the area which was brilliant.

If you are looking for a Haven type site with loads and loads for kids to do, this is not the place to go. If you are looking for a quiet site what is still very much child friendly with some things to do, then this is perfect! If I am ever in the area again I would 100% stay here again!

Just back from a Mon-Fri break in Lakeside Cottage, what a brilliant time we had, there was plenty of room for the six of us and more than enough plates, glasses and cutlery for us all.
The cottage is in a fantastic setting by the lake with the garden practically going right down to the lake itself, and it’s probably only a 10-15 minute walk round the lake to get to the main Brynteg Holiday Park.
The two main double bedrooms both downstairs, are a good size, the master is gorgeous with an en-suite and also it’s own sitting area. The second double shares the family bathroom downstairs with the two upstairs bedrooms - a twin and a small room with bunk beds. There is also a very small toilet and washbasin upstairs 
We were in the upstairs twin, and I will say that the stairs were incredibly steep and deep, something to bear in mind for either elderly people or young children. We didn’t find the mattresses on the twin beds very comfortable at all, they really need a decent topper on them.
The outside area is beautiful with a table and chairs and of course the hot tub, which got plenty of use 😊 It was also checked/ cleaned regularly. Also a great touch that robes were provided for everyone to use.
I don’t know if it was just the time of year, but at night time sitting in the hot tub, the midges were terrible and most of us ended up with bites, so maybe take some insect repellent with you!
But we all agreed the cottage definitely has the ‘wow factor’ , don’t think any of us will want to go back to staying in one of the caravans after this!
Nicky as always was very welcoming and friendly on arrival, and also just want to say a massive ‘Thank You’ to the guys who came to the rescue when one of our cars had a flat tyre.

Third visit to Brynteg, and we had finally managed to book a pet friendly Elegance 2 bed caravan with decking (our friends have stayed in one which has a fab layout) Check in was as smooth as always with the lovely  friendly reception girls.
As usual the van was immaculately clean and fresh smelling, but we were surprised to find it was a three bed, a quick walk to reception to check, where we were told there had unfortunately been a maintenance issue with our original 2 bed, so they had had to allocate this 3 bed instead.
We had no complaints about our accommodation at all, furniture & fittings all first class, the main bedroom was a lovely size with an en-suite, and the kitchen area even had an island . . . very posh, we haven’t even got one of those in our kitchen at home!! It was tucked away just behind the reception building and was sheltered from the windy weather, and it had its own parking space.
We really enjoy coming to Brynteg as it’s such a lovely well kept park, nice and quiet, and very well located for getting out and about. We will be back next Spring, and will keep our eyes peeled for the 2 bed Elegance 😀


Beautiful well maintained park with great facilities and a stunning lake with lakeside eatery.  Caravan was immaculate and comfortable. Lovely views of the countryside and well located to shops in Caernarfon.  Park was quiet at time of visit which made for relaxing time. 

Just had a week staying in a caravan. We loved it, caravan was clean, spacious and well equipped. Park was well kept. The children loved the pool. Staff always helpful and friendly. Relaxing environment, not too busy. Will definitely go back.

OK lets start with what everyone looks at the price. 

This site is worth every penny as you get what you pay for.  Yes you have the amazing country of Wales to explore and boy oh boy Wales is beautiful and under appreciated.  For thoses that do not wish to move off the site at  all for their own reasons  let me advise you to visit this park as it benfits everyone. 

 Firstly I accept you have the views, walks, snowdonia that you can stay else where cheaper, however you cannot find the staff that makes this a  personalised experience. 

The moment you arrive at Brynteg you drive through the remains of the castle and then greeted with the most well cared for and stunning grounds, this is not just at the reception the grounds are exceptionally well kept but more so you can see the pride the gounds staff have put into the whole park.  Their pride really shows through.

Then you meet the reception staff to greet you and take time to know you and recommed what suits your interest and lifestyle.  Nothing is too much of an ask,  even the maintence team are attentive any issues you may have in the caravan should one arise.

The bar staff are extra attentive and Dan runs a fantastic ship with up and coming  staff that are already shining, the young lay wth long brown hair and the chap who looks like a model for tattoo fixers ....keep up the great work!!

This leads me onto the the food, one member in the our family is a vegetarian I thought she may struggle with the menu,  i should not have feared,  the chef is more then accommodating should there not be something on the menu, he will endeavour to make something for your dietry requirements,  again other employee's that takes pride in their work. ( My partner can personally recommend the fish and chips!)

There is one very special young lady who is the new supervisor at the Boathouse.  So lovely and so kind.  She offers a personal experience to all family members the children and more so a very drained me! :0)

I would not say this is just for families, as  friends, walkers, retreat or romantic break would enjoy this park as the surroundings and spa are beautiful.

There is security and they are both super nice chaps who are like Mi5 they know everything happening on site despite us never needing them it is reassuring to know no random human can enter the site.  It also has barriers so the kids did not go wondering off!

The kids loved the park, the site has its own playground, swimming pool, amusements,  soft play area, table tennis,  Gym and entertaniment at the Country Resort Club with great family priced food.  You can literally pay the fee and not move off site if the weather is famously 'Welsh".  Last time we came they even had an outdoor movie night!

I would recommend renting a lower priced  three bedroom caravan for the extra room for luggage, wet suits, clothes, shoes buckets spade etc .  a little hint the lower end of the price range 3 bed room caravans look nothing like the pictures they are FANTASTIC AND GREAT PRICE,  maybe they do this so you pay for the more expensive looking ones but be assured the lower range are value for money! see pictures! Some caravans are also pet friendly ours was did not smell of dog, again book one with decking to enjoy the sunrise it was super!

So in conclusion,  yes you can find cheaper if you do not rate the staff and effort put into a resort. This review does not include management/Head Office/website just the site staff.  Please take a moment to review the pictures.

I hope this is helpful and remember you pay for what you get and the frontline staff are everything at this resort and the stunning mountain views and access to everywhere Ireland, Angelsey, Horse Riding, wallking make it perfection.

just returned from a midweek break at this lovely park.

Yes, there was an issue with the gas and from what I understand this was completely out of their control and they were reliant on an engineer from the gas company to come and fix the problem. Admittedly not ideal with three children one being a baby, but I can honestly say the staff were all fantastic in their response. We received a knock on the door when they first realised late on during our first night to see if we were ok and to check our gas supply, we then received another knock later that night to explain the problem wouldn’t be fixed that evening, but hot showers would be available at the pool and some complimentary breakfast the next morning. We were then called the next day with an update and told it wouldn’t be fixed until the following day. The lady in the phone was fabulous and explained that it was our choice to stay on park as they couldn’t guarantee when the issues would be fixed but hope for the following day. She explained we could continue to use the showers at the pool and the restaurant was open for food as normal. We explained our only concern was that of our baby being cold in the night as she immediately sent a heater round to us as a priority which was amazing service and I know they did this with another family we had befriended during our stay. Yes, this was not ideal but clearly the staff at park were doing their best to keep things operational for us and communicated very well. The rest of our holiday there were no issues and upon departure we offered a discount on a future break, but we asked for a refund for the 2 nights of disruption which was agreed too and only fair in my mind. Aside from gas issue, the park is beautiful and in a wonderful location to explore the local lakes and mountains, the staff in the pool and restaurant were always smiling and interacting with our children which was great. Two of children took park in the activities and got to try something new which is all they have been talking about since we left! The caravan itself was clean and luckily had an electric fire in the lounge which we huddled around and played some board games.Clearly some people did not feel the same way but as a family we think it’s what you make of it and if you are being looked after and communicated with which we were then no harm done. Running our own business, we understand things go wrong that are sometimes out of your control so well done Brynteg in dealing with a difficult situation well  and we will be returning this summer (when it’s warm just encase!!)

Had a great stay at Brynteg. The park itself is stunning! you don't get much better than those surroundings. its well kept, clean and you could see the staff really took care of it. Every member of staff  made us feel welcome,  even at the busy times they made time to have a proper conversation and not just quickly move on to the next customer.

Despite an issue with gas supply and awful weather, we have had a great time at Brynteg. The new club team and Food and Beverage management have looked after us very well. The food is lovely and great prices. Staff are friendly too. I am sure as the year goes on and we move away from Covid the site facilities will continue to expand to how they used to be before the pandemic

Brynteg weekend away

Beautiful park, fantastic leisure facilities, but boat house always out of something whether it is beer or food, hard to retain customers if you don’t have such simple everyday goods available. Surely pub/restaurant at the bottom of the park can transport a keg or food from the bottom to the top of the park, a lot of customers let down and obviously profit lost this weekend, first weekend of 6 weeks holiday, need to be on the ball.

No need for staff to lie to customers, when they have made a mistake or did they? Only over a couple of quid to, but  young and inexperienced staff, so will learn with time.

Other than that beautiful place, just a few simple things let us down on our first family holiday to Brynteg.

Great Site!!

Lakeside Cottage

Visited last month for a 3 night stay. The park is lovely, well maintained in a beautiful setting. Luckily we had some good weather which meant we were able to enjoy the views from the lakeside bar. Our caravan was absolutely spotless, nice and spacious with a small outside seating area. The pool and spa facilities were great (the warm spa pool was particularly welcome after a very wet walk down Snowdon!) Great base to explore Wales and to visit Snowdon. Also has a number of woodland walks around the site. We only wish we'd stayed for longer as there was so much to see and do in the area, we couldn't possibly fit it all in. Looking to return again next year and would definitely recommend.

Third Visit

Beautiful location, very peaceful park and good access to local snowdonia national park and other parts of wales. Stayed in an elegance caravan and was very impressed. Was spotlessly clean, and was very well equipped, had everything you needed from a dishwasher and washing machine in kitchen to ironing board and clothes horse in main bedroom wardrobe. Plenty of crockery, cooking pots and pans and even had salt and pepper and kitchen roll already. Very roomy caravan was in number 154 close to reception, which I though would bother me as it was by the main entrance, but as it was a smaller park than many others I’ve visited and was very quiet so had no noise or bother. Had a lovely decking space outside which we enjoyed as we had lovely weather and own parking space was a bonus for unpacking. Visited the spa area and was the only one in there, very clean and enjoyed the sauna and steam room. Would recommend and hopefully will return myself to stay in the future.

Beautiful location, clean caravan, peaceful and quiet park. Would recommend for a relaxing break.

This is a beautiful location and lovely clean holiday park, however after traveling for several hrs at check in time we were informed that the lodge wasn't clean as yet so to return in 10 mins. We returned after 20 mins to be told it still wasn't ready, after going back and to, to reception for 2 hrs after check in time!, we finally got the keys to the lodge ( with 2 small hungry children it was very disappointing), the positioning of the lodge was beautiful over looking the lake with amazing decking, but after just being at another park leisure complex a week early and booking the same accomodation, the cleanliness was not what we expected, there was mug stains on the coffee table and kitchen work top and clothing from what we can only guess as previous guests under the coffee table and sofa. The facilities were brilliant the children loved the pool and managed to get to do some activities and the staff were very friendly. However the park is clearly under staffed and unfortunately can not cope with the amount of guests as we had to wait for over a hour to get some desserts.  The boat house wasn't open for 2 evenings due to staffing issues.  This park and location is beautiful and I don't want to sound negative but when issues were expressed to the reception staff I was replied with "yes the park is short staffed", and then dismissed like it was my problem.
We would like to return as the location out ways the negatives, however it might be sometime in the hope that they can sort these issues out. 

A little Disappointed.

We stayed at the Brynteg site for a weekend. 
Before arrival I found the website for the company poor and lacking in information. It wasn’t clear if the pool was open, as going by comments on social media it appears to have been closed. 
I had been receiving emails telling me to pay the balance, even though I had paid in full. I had no real clue about what was included in my holiday as little information was provided. 
Some of the previous reviews about poor customer service had me worried. Check in was smooth. We arrived at our Life style caravan to find it had no parking outside. After a drive back to reception (could only get an answer machine when we phoned) we were told to share a driveway with another caravan. 
Caravan was spotless and well maintained. We were really impressed with it. 
We then realised we hadn’t bought towels with us. As our last caravan holiday had included towels I made the assumption they were included. 
I made a trip to reception and Nicky very kindly got us some towels to use. She was a star. 
The site is clean and tidy. 
We didn’t try any the facilities on site as we made other plans. Maybe if we knew more about what was available we would have bought food at one of the onsite restaurants. 
We did walk from the site along the Llanberis road. It gives great views towards Snowdon.

Lovely site. Pleasantly surprised

We stayed for a weekend with relatives who owned a caravan at this beautifully situated place with lots of amenities free within the service fee. There was refurbishment in the pool and the gym when we were there but this did not deter from our enjoyment. The lake with its bar is stunning and although it was very windy we enjoyed a drink outside watching the black swans and ducks. The grounds are well kept and the staff we met were very friendly. Ate in the restaurant one night which was very good too.
