Lovely stay at Exmore House, perfect accommodation, beautiful room.. impeccably clean and we were made to feel very welcome .. thank you .. would definitely recommend to others.

Clean spacious accommodation , we were made to feel welcome, as was our Boxer dog! Breakfast excellent . Very helpful owners , even booked a meal for us at the local pub . We would return without hesitation.

This is an old building, so think quirky shaped rooms and  features, not boring square boxes. That doesn't mean that it is dated inside though, it has been decorated to a high standard, and is spotlessly clean and tidy, and tastefully furnished. Our room was bigger than we expected, with loads of space even though the (very comfortable) bed was huge. There are all the facilities that you might expect, such as tea, coffee, biscuits, fridge, room safe etc, but what was lovely was that there wasn't just a couple of tea bags and a pack of custard creams but a whole range of beverages and biscuits in the room. Our hosts were great; very friendly and welcoming, and happy to advise on the best way to see local attractions. The cooked breakfast deserves a special mention, not only was it outstanding in terms of quantity but most importantly it was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. I'm going to say it's by far the best breakfast I've ever had in a B&B or hotel. Practically, the property is well situated to visit Dunster, Porlock and the surrounding area, there is parking to the rear, and the pub over the road is good for evening food and drinks. Genuinely really impressed with our stay here, and I think it will be our 'go to' for future visits.

There was a lovely welcome when I arrived. The room was first class with thoughtful touches such as fresh milk and orange juice in a mini fridge.For walkers on Exmoor there is a drying room too.The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was lovely and hot.The breakfast was very ample and delicious.I would definitely want to stay again.

What a wonderful location to explore Exmoor and the coast.  We had a relaxing 3 night stay, starting the day with a perfect breakfast.  Although on a busy corner we were not disturbed by traffic at night.  Welcoming, comfortable and freshly renovated.

Lovely hosts, very comfortable rooms. We loved all the little touches, from cold water in the fridge, to biscuits, choccies and great toiletries.

A wonderful stay! Isy and Peter have created a lovely, relaxing home away from home. There were so many small touches and going that extra miles that most B&Bs fail to do. They were so accommodating and welcoming and with such a wealth of knowledge for the local area they are not short of brilliant recommendations. I truly believe that no one needs to look any further for a hotel in Exmoor, a brilliantly cooked breakfast, comfy beds and wonderful hosts what more could you ask for! We will be recommending to anyone that travels down this way!

Excellent Bed and Breakfast

I received a warm and friendly welcome after a long drive, followed-up with an excellent breakfast in the morning. I greatly appreciated the fact that ear plugs were provided in the room, because the walls are very thin and it was possible to hear pretty much everything going on in the room next door. Thankfully, the couple in there settled down at a reasonable time and I managed a decent night's sleep.

Picked this Guesthouse just because it was in the right area, had a king size bed (back problems) and was a reasonable price with good reviews.We were blown away by the place from start to finish as it felt like everything you needed had been thought of.We had a pot of welcome chocolates, a large array of biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a fridge with orange juice, milk and water and even biscuits, cleaning products and poobags  for our dog.The bed was huge and really comfortable, good toiletries, sanitary products, cotton buds and pads all provided.Lovely games room with pool table, darts, etc and drinks available to buy.Towels left at front door for muddy paws if you needed.Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, cooked to order and our hosts were lovely.It it on a slightly busy road but as in most villages, no real noise at night and lovely pub across the road if you wanted to eat out, village shop and abundant walks.Thanks for a lovely stay 💐❤️

Best stay ever!

We had an amazing stay here at this wonderful guest house. The owners have thought of everything with special touches such as milk and juice in the fridge and some dog biscuits for the dog. The breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day. The hosts Izzy and Peter were so welcoming and have made this a fantastic base to stay and explore from.

We have just enjoyed a 4 night stay at Exmoor House Bed & Breakfast and have to say it was faultless! Austin and Teri were brilliant hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable- they were great with our little girl too, who obsessed over their lovely dog. The rooms were spotless and tastefully furnished, with lovely little touches such as chocolates and biscuits in the room. The beds were very comfortable and the washing facilities were good with high quality toiletries offered.Breakfast was superb, with an extensive breakfast menu and good quality local produce sourced. We haven't eaten so well in a long time! All in all, we have had a great family break in Exmoor, made all the better by our stay here- it really was a home away from home, definitely recommend!

Superb stay!

We booked into Exmoor House and it was immediately obvious upon arrival that the place was spotless.  That's always important, of course, but particularly so in these strange times we're in.  I have been relatively cautious the last couple of months but Teri and Austin put me immediately at ease with all the measures they'd put in place.The room was large, spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable.  The shower was amazing, too.Breakfast was ordered the night before and there was a good selection available, and the quality very good.  We felt really spoilt.  One evening we knew we'd be tired from a long day out so ordered a Ploughman's, which again was brilliant.We've both absolutely no hesitation in recommending Exmoor House for a break away.

A fantastic break

Everything was amazing! The only thing I would say is the traffic is loud in the morning but that can’t be helped given the location. They do provide ear plugs though which show they have thought of everything possible. Such lovely people and a great breakfast. Also so so thankful of a tip that we gave them which shows how appreciative they are.

Lovely guest house with off street parking.  The pub opposite serves good food.  I loved the fridge in the room with drinking water and milk.  Some nice touches - tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.  Earplugs and bathsalts.  Shower was nice and powerful.  Breakfast was freshly cooked and really nice.  The hosts are  very proud of their guesthouse and so tney should be !
