Absolutely DISGUSTING bad service with excuses and Waffel - room MOULDY causing excessive coughing and breathing difficulties after only a few hours.
RASHES FROM BEDDING caused by bed bugs and failing hygiene standards.
Shower (mould and general green/yellow slime) resembled a discarded used frying pan.
Booked for 7 nights and left after only a few hours - no refund or apology but they did offer a different room for an extra £350!!
Forced to sleep in our car!!!!!

Kensington Hotel......

Stayed a few times before COVID it was not bad reasonable price I payed around £45 a night with no breakfast it was a bit chaotic especially on a Friday and Saturday night with all the drinkers it's drinkers paradise in Bournemouth on a Friday and Saturday night with all the bars and clubs the hotel is shocking know not convinced there changing the bedding as other reviewers have said and put photos of the stains on sheets and mattresses absolutely appalling, disgraceful they have got lazy and given up if that's the case stop taking money off people and close the hotel what did it for me was they have put a old fella on reception with appalling attitude enquired about a room he tried to charge me £300 for one night 🤣🤣🤣

Got complacent and greedy 

Good for the price. The room has hairdryer,  kettle, welcome tea and coffee.
You have to pay if want o have your room cleaned.  Otherwise clean it yourself.
Overall you get what you paid for. :)

Warning to all who are planning to book this hotel in Bournemouth, THE KENSINGTON HOTEL, Avoid avoid avoid, I came here for 2nights with my partner and my daughter who is disabled, the room was awful, no towels were given, bed sheets had stained on them, when I asked for them to be changed I was told they didn't have facilities to wash bed sheets, no shampoo, no soap, no toothpaste and no toilet paper atall was in bathroom, tea coffee was empty, the room had 2 beds with no dressing table or chair, the hotel had no kitchen atall for any food to be warmed, the service was very very poor, my daughter is left so distressed and upset, please avoid booking this place, the room smelt really horrible, not even a small bin in room,  I have neve been so disappointed in my life, I tried speaking to the receptionist but was ignored and told someone will come speak to me but no-one did.

Outdated, rude, no proper parking, fire alarm kepy going off, very noisy, no sign of a bar, the desk worker, walked in our room without knockin, didnt speak apology or anything, just walked in looked round and out again, my kids with special needs didnt feel safe staying we left very early thay morning and didn't stay for our second night, not recommend at all stay away no offer of a refund either

No frills but cheerful seaside hotel.  Convenient location and good size room.  Don't expect luxury but friendly service and simple accommodation.

Good location, walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Very clean, easy check in and was told all about the area and history of the hotel.

Terrible and nit suitable for the price .

This place is the dirtiest sh*thole ive ever stayed in, the old coffin dodger bores the life outter you as you walk in talking about bournemouth and trys to act posh...then you get to your room...it stinks...blood stained towels..piss on the bedsheets..pubes  in the sink..fag ash and used teaspoons on the side of the cabinets,carpets stained with black sticky stuff...id rather sleep on the streets than in this doss hole...AVOID AT ALL COSTS

WORST SH*THOLE IN BOURNEMOUTH

Where shall i start... i read the reviews on Expedia when booking and thought the place looked okay for a one night stay. Upon our arrival we got a half hour history lesson that was well intended but after 8 hours on the road our bladders were ready to burst. The host didnt seem to notice that we all had heavy bags and were tired. Our room was in the basement . The first inspection of it was decent. Two double beds and a single. Turns out that the reviews on google were more accurate than expedia. The single bed ended up being a box spring with beddjng on it. The double beds were awful, mine was collapsing on one side. The thin excuses for pillows left us with sore necks. We had to ask for more towels. One was provided and there were four of us booked in. We were handed an extra towel and another bath mat. So two towels for four people... thanks. Doesnt look like we were bitten by any bed bugs thank goodness... i do not recommend this place.
