North Crest

This was a weekend away with family to see the famous Blackpool illuminations. The guest house was reasonably priced within easy reach of the local tram stop (just at the top of the road). Parking was free for the duration of the stay. On street parking. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely couple - Cathy & Pete who couldn’t do enough for us. We were also welcomed by Ollie the Labrador (he is an old gentleman) and just wants to say hello. On entering our room it was of a good size for two with a well maintained en-suite. The tea and coffee selection were welcomed with rather nice miniature glass bottle of milk in the fridge alongside two bottles of water. The on site bar was visited a couple of times, which was comfortable when waiting for others in the party to arrive. Very reasonably priced too. The external door is always open with an extra key on the room key to gain access to the entrance, should you be late returning. Now for breakfast…. This is PRE ORDER, I know this is always a talking point, but I need to say what you get is second to none, full English both days for me but the daughter and her fella had Eggs Benedict on the second day (Wow) the yolks were a glorious colour. As always, a strong selection of continental was available with our grandchildren well catered for with ‘dippy eggs’ and soldiers. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be popping back in the summer to test the sun trap. Please contact them directly if you need anything extra.
