This Hotel by the canal is a Good example of what I like: value for money, clean rooms and very good service. Very quit Night, Even it was. A Saturday. Comfortable beds, OK size room. Can recommend to anyone but the most lux-seeking tourist. Ok breakfast

Hotel is in a great location and it’s quiet especially during the night time hours. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and breakfast of a good standard with plenty of choice. Good choice of quality complimentary magazines available.

Picked for its location as less than a five minute walk from the ICC.  Booked a number of months in advance so also got a really good price.

A bit underwhelmed on arrival, and possibly the most spartan premier inn room I've ever seen.  But....

End of the corridor so no noise disturbance at all - even though the hotel seemed to have quite high occupancy.  Really comfortable bed; good pillows - so 2/2 good nights' sleep.

Decided to pay for breakfasts on arrival - which were almost as much as a single night room rate.  Hot buffet style breakfast  - which to be fair was pretty good.  All a bit frantic on the second morning as the kitchen (so to speak - more a reheating centre) struggled to keep up with demand.  But no more than a couple of minutes to wait when the bacon ran out.  Reasonable selection of pastries; cereals etc.  So again did the job.  Plus canal side seating both mornings.  Coffee - probably the less said the better, but a machine self-serve so expectations were not high.  

Overall therefore the excellent location; very good price; and good nights' sleep far outweigh any minor quibbles. It does not pretend to provide fivve star luxury but on a value basis deserves 5 stars.

Great location to Birmingham canal. Great to use the Utilita arena for events as it’s a 5 minute walk. Hotel is clean and safe. Great base for Birmingham, very close to the big gold library, which is a great point if you get lost in the big City at night. 
We had a family room and the beds are very comfy and my son slept well. 
Bath in the room is great having a child staying.
Breakfast was offered but we don’t eat breakfast. 
I booked in January and got an amazing price I would recommend booking this for any weekends away. 

Stayed to meet friends. My husband is disabled so needed the hotel to be near to Sealife and a restaurant we were dining at. Fab number of disabled parking spaces and a brilliant location with a 5 minute 
walk to the canal and bars. The staff were friendly and so helpful especially when my son had left his earpods in the room and we have checked out a few hours ago. Breakfast was by far the best hotel breakfast we have had as well. Only one issue with the duvet being too hot in an already warm room but that was easily solved. Would definitely stay here again

Comfortable and clean rooms with everything you need. Breakfast and dinner quality was excellent, hot and fresh. All staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The hotel Centrally located with everything nearby and only short walk from the Bullring and train station.

What amazing staff! Nothing too much bother - air con would be nice tho!! Watch out for Ulez and car parking charges! Nice and quiet and very convenient - thank you very much to all the staff - would stay again 

This hotel is in the perfect location in Birmingham. It’s only a few minutes walk to all the restaurants in Broad Street and a twenty minute walk to the Bull Ring in the City Centre. It is spotless clean and the staff are amazing. The food in the restaurant is excellent and priced very affordable. I was over for an Aston Villa game and stayed here twice before and can’t wait for my next visit.

I arrived and was greater by two friendly ladies, room was given quick, it was clean and beds are comfy I was given directions to utilita by a gentleman and he was friendly aswell.. 10 mins walking distance and I would recommend and stay again

The staff here are exceptional. From arrival to departure every staff member I met was professional, friendly and most importantly of all, genuinely appeared to be happy in their work. They smiled and were polite. Congratulations to the manager for creating such a positive working environment. In the restaurant the food was fresh and tasty and here the staff on the floor excelled. Breakfast was always topped up and chef cooked to order for my vegetarian extras.

The room I was in wasn’t the biggest at Premier inn but I was happy with the size and amenities and it was spotless. I was at a conference at the ICC which was no more than 3 mins walk.

I travel for business regularly and this is the best quality Premier inn I have stayed in because I left feeling valued

We stayed here for one night and had a pleasant stay.  We stayed here because of the location. It is close to the Centenary Square, which houses the Symphony Hall and Rep theatre.  The hotel is within walking distance of the New Street station.
There are places to eat and drink around there.   

We arrived at the hotel a bit early and left our luggage there as there was a £15 charge to check in early.  The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming.  The rooms were clean and what you would expect from a premier inn hotel. We had breakfast, and there were plenty of choices. There was  a cooked breakfast option, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cereals, hot drinks, and juices  available. The restaurant was nice and looked over the canal. 

We had no concerns during our stay and would stay there again. 

It was a good stay, and I had no concerns.

Brilliant location, reliable Premier Inn

Generally welcoming staff and great service at the breakfast. Especially the chef and gentleman who helped our party with vegan options at breakfast.

Hotel is located very centrally and was perfect for attending a gig in the City Centre. Certainly not the most aesthetically pleasing view but can’t fault the hotel for that.

Room was a bit on the small side but clean.

Would recommend for a short stay (no more than two nights)

Perfect for Short Stay

This is a beautiful hotel in Birmingham. I have stayed here twice before and the staff are so professional and friendly.

This Premier Inn is in the very centre of Birmingham, a few moments from New Street Station, the International Convention Centre, restaurants and shops.
The entry is not encouraging.  Opposite a large building site, the dropping area has large signs discouraging people from stopping too long.  A tipped over cigarette bin added to the feeling of neglect.  
The reception area had a similarly downbeat feel.
However, once inside, the room was nice. Everything was functional and clean and the room was compact and comfortable.  Temperature was easily controlled and the windows opened.  The bed was good: a firm base with high quality linen including really good pillows. 
Breakfast was served in a pleasant area.  The quality was good and the range was reasonable.  Missing from the cold section was artisan breads, cheese, crackers, etc and there should have been more veggie options on the hot (although, to be fair, these could probably have been ordered).  Service efficient and friendly.
I paid around £100 for my room and £10 for breakfast which offers outstanding value in the centre of town.  Why not pay a little attention to the entrance?

The. staff at this hotel are brilliant ! best customer service we have had at a Premier Inn 
We arrived quite early and thought we would just drop our bags off but as soon as we stepped inside the gentleman on the desk was so accomodating .
He said he would check if our room was ready popped along to check it himself and said its ready heres your keycard ! I didnt get his name but I feel he could be a duty manager very smart and a credit to Premier Inn .
        The great service continued at breakfast greeted by a lovely smiley young lady Mollie she explained that end of breakfast was in 25mins but not to rush and enjoy all on offer .With only 5 mins till end of service she again came to the table and said only 5 mins left would we like to go and help ourselves to any more food and drink or take anything to our room . I felt this to be excellent as I am aware of wastage in hospitality. We thanked her and spoke to the other waitress whom turned out to be Mollies Mum Nicola all I can say they are a credit to the hotel ! WE will return and also gladly recommend ! 
            Also on the canal so a lovely walk to town with pleny of bars and eateries .
