My anxiety nearly got the better of me when I booked this.. £150 for a week? 
Receptionists 24/7? Fresh sheets? 
No way..

But I’m so glad I did. It’s my first day here today. The owner messaged me before I came. To make sure I was ok and not to worry. EVERY single member of staff has been brilliant. The bunks are class. Bigger than a single bed. Very cosey. And lovely people. 

Can’t recommend it enough. Already thinking about staying for a month (no joke)

I was due to travel from Digbeth coach station quite early one morning so when I saw that the Birmingham Central Backpackers had a double room with a private bathroom and it was only a few minutes walk away I decided to book. I hadn't stayed in a hostel before but must say that everyone was really friendly and the check-in and check-out was really efficient. The room was ideal for what I needed, comfy bed, shower, toilet, kettle, tea, coffee and convenient plug sockets for charging devices. I would stay again if this room was available when I need it.

It was amazing. We toured all over the UK. We saw lots of hostels, but this one was by far the best! Everything clean, the breakfast was awesome. The staff so cool. Woulda liked to stay longer. It feels really comfortable.

Marvellous hostel in Birmingham close to the Coach Station with nice clean rooms,friendly and welcoming staff,a kitchen where you can cook your own food and a lounge where you can relax. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying or passing through Birmingham!

Best hostel in Birmingham 

Absolutely outrageous behaviour from the management team last night, barged in the room while we were changing without knocking and just being a total pig, I do not recommend and had to book 5 separate room for my team that were traumatised by the experience. In case management is seeing this, it happened in room 12 at 11:30. Whoever it was he should be fired

The fact that he didn’t even knock before barging in and yelling at a bunch of 18 yo girls, idc how you look at it, a man shouldn’t be allowed to just man handle a situation like this. Reilly horrible and should never happen again

DO NOT GO THERE, IDC HOW CHEAP THEY MAKE THE ROOM ITS NOT WORTH IT

Excellent location, just 5 minutes to O2 Institute and 15 minutes to train station, shopping area and city centre. People keep repeating the word "shady" for this area but that's probably because it's industrial rather than residential. I felt perfectly safe.
Basic breakfast included (tea or coffee, toast and fruit).
Comfortable bed. Adequate room. Equipped kitchen.

Upstairs there is only one bathroom, which is obviously not enough for all the rooms and most of the time you have to go down steep stairs to the toilet and shower facilities downstairs.
The dining room is too small (or the table is too big for that room).

Very good place to stay in Brum

They do cleaning and tidy up every 11am to 2pm to every public area 
receptionists are willing to help if you have any problem just ask they will try their best to do so
not far from city centre at least walkable 
There are also party every Friday and Saturday

The bed was a memory foam mattress, The size was perfect for my height (6.2). Also the bed area was in the capsule style with USB power/ full height blackout curtains. The staff at the hotel were amazing and welcoming. This is a great hostel if your on a budget trip.

Awful hostel...do not stay here !!!!! 

Noisy rooms, no sleep, shabby, cheap and dirty facilities, disgusting common areas and such rude management.

Staff didn't want to be there and we're fairly unhelpful. Although their manager doesn't set the bar high for customer care.....

I am not a complainer, I'm not posh or hard to please but this hostel is impossible not to review negatively..... I have travelled the world and stayed in a wide variety of places and I have never encountered such an underwhelming and ugly place with such an rude owner.

The owners response to my issues raised on check out was to ask me to leave..... I could. Not. Believe. It! Sooooo rude!!!!!

Hostel also in a dodgey, noisy and ugly industrial area with next to no attractions.
 
This place and its owner don't deserve your money or support.

Don't do it.... Find somewhere else :)

Awful awful awful - don't stay here

I've been coming back to this place since i found it in 2015. Found myself in Birmingham for the famous bodypower expo, taking place every year for all fitness and body sculpture enthusiasts. This place has created so many memories for me and my brothers. The setting of the place, the atmosphere created, the theme of decor and the people running the place. It's a real homely vibe and they've created an atmosphere where its like a community within the hostel. People cook, people create fun activities and its like a sanctuary of sorts. Makes you forget you're in Birmingham and instead within a new earth, another world and a magical place. Forget all these negative reviews, because you know what i learned from all the places ive been..haters gonna hate brah. Much love Brum and to the central backpackers, you shall definetly see me again ✌🏼💛
