stayed 2 nights in October 2016. the guest house is obviously a residential house in a residential area and on the main road. car parking was tight, i suggest reversing in from the main road. only space for 4 cars at a tight squeeze if you all want to come and go as you please, put a 5th car in there and 3 of the other 4 cars cant get out until its moved. i was out early mornings so made sure i reversed in and parked right outside the house garage door and hoped nobody blocked me in. i didnt have breakfast as that only started at 0700 and i was out for 0645 so cant comment on that. my room was in in the eaves of the building, sloping ceilings and very steep stairs could be a problem for some. the bathroom, well it is a broom cupboard or smaller. you have to move and twist around the sink to get to the loo and if you were more than average size you wouldnt be able to open the shower door at all without it crashing into the sink. the floor seemed to have at least 3 or 4 bathmats of various state of repair, in such a small space, yes some were on top of each other (2 more were in the main sleeping area). the towels smelt of something like diesel fumes. there is a small noisy fridge in the main sleeping area and i had to move the crockery for tea/coffee off it, as they bounced around when the fridge motor was working. the bed springs have seen better days and not sure if it was the bed or the floor but the bed seemed to slope towards the head of the bed. mixed bunch of sheets and duvet covers and the duvet itself,  well its need chucking and new one provided by looks of it. all in all, i have stayed in many different places in the area and this is one of the poorest, only just scraping average and not poor in my estimations. wouldnt stay again, mainly for the parking problems. check if they take cards as when i booked the info said they took cards, but at the time of arrival stan said he prefers cash, only the second night he gave me a written sort code and account number to pay by bank transfer.
