My father and niece stayed here recently when they were here for a family party. The house and rooms are beautiful, clean and well cared for. Madeleine is a fabulous host, very accommodating to them returning late and providing a really good breakfast the next morning. The location is stunning, the only thing I would say is that it’s quite a way out of town, and at the top of the hill, so if you’re looking to venture into town, you would likely need to drive or consider a taxi. Thanks again, Madeleine.

Beautiful B&B, Lovely Location, Wonderful Host

A lovely farmhouse in a beautiful setting a 5 minute ride from Belper. Run by the friendly owner who could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. There was no problem parking right by the front door. Our first floor bedroom was recently decorated with a very comfortable bed and plenty space. Lovely views from the windows too. The new bathroom had a big bath with an excellent shower and again plenty space. Everywhere was spotless.
The full English Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there were fresh fruit, croissants and a toaster to make ones own toast.
We stayed for three nights and would highly recommend this lovely Farm House.
 

Comfortable, Convenient and Excellent Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast

An excellent weekend away with Madeline as a fantastic host in the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. 
From our late arrival, following traffic on the motorway, we were shown into Madeline‘s beautiful lounge where we rested after our journey before exploring our beautifully decorated bedrooms and adjoining ensuite.  Great attention to detail in the bedrooms and bathrooms to make it feel like a proper five star experience.  
We were greeted each morning with a selection of tasty cereals, juices and breads, along with a formidable, full cooked breakfast and provision for vegetarians   
The farmhouse is very much Madeline’s home which she has graciously shared this weekend and she is indeed an awesome host.

Awesome family weekend

This was only a short one night stay whilst attending a family birthday celebration but  we felt we'd enjoyed a full weekend there. 

From the moment I made an initial enquiry Madeleine was nothing less than delightful to deal with - so accommodating and helpful.  Grange Farm is up a pretty steep hill and the road is rather narrow but the views are wonderful.  The setting for the historic farm house is just lovely, nestled in amongst fields with horses and a gorgeous little foal.
Madeleine greeted us warmly and the house immediately felt welcoming.  Our room was a very pretty blue & white themed one overlooking the front of the house.  It was spacious with ample storage space should you be staying for a longer period.   We had sole use of a huge bathroom (including a separate shower), which was immediately opposite our room and we loved the thoughtful touch of quality toiletries out for us to use. Ahead of our stay I had been a little unsure about it not being strictly ensuite, however it didn't prove a problem at all. 
There was plenty of tea & coffee for us and a selection of biscuits, which were very welcome.  The bed was very firm but comfortable and we slept well.  Breakfast was excellent and we were very impressed with what as on offer. There was a good range of cereals, lovely fresh berries, yoghurt and choices of bread & small pastries.  It was set around a communal table for 4 and really felt more like visiting friends than staying somewhere and our fellow guests were very easy to chat to. 
We opted for the full English, which didn't disappoint - good quality ingredients, well cooked and presented.  Delicious.  
This made such a refreshing change from the usually impersonal stay at so many hotels. Grange Farm is very personal and you can just tell the love & time that Madeleine has put into restoring the beautiful house and puts into creating a homely, welcoming atmosphere.  Thanks you for that Madeline.  We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little gem of a place,

Lovely B&B in a beautiful  rural location, delightful host

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Grange farm. It sits in a lovely quiet, rural location, local to all amenities, and minutes away from the A 38.
Madeline, our host, was very welcoming, charming, and accommodating. we were shown to our room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large en suite bathroom, including bath time extras to pamper yourself with. Tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits to enjoy at your leisure.
Breakfast was excellent, with a choice of a full English or a Continental with a good selection, and plenty of it. We would certainly return there.

Beautiful farmhouse, relaxing rural retreat

We stayed overnight in a very comfortable and large bedroom, with a large en suite bathroom. The bed was king size and really comfortable, a comprehensive tea/coffee tray and biscuits was provided with fresh milk left outside the door in the morning. All the amenities provided were good quality.
The breakfast was freshly prepared with plenty of choice.
We really enjoyed our stay, it is in a great location with lovely views. Madeleine was a welcoming and charming host.
It was very good value.

Lovely B&B, Charming Host

Just off the beaten track, yet close enough to all the local amenities. Madeleine was a perfect host. We had an excellent night sleep and a superb breakfast in the morning. We would certainly visit again when we are next in the area.

Fantastic stay

Madeleine is the loveliest of hostesses: charming and friendly she is also very helpful and accommodating. Her farmhouse, in glorious countryside, is a tranquil home-from-home: blissfully comfy bed, spacious room - and peaceful, too. An ideal retreat after a day's work.

Lovely B&B in stunning setting 

Homely, very welcoming. If you like farms, there were horses, geese, ducks to explore. Also a lovely dog which was very friendly. The area is gorgeous with fields, a lake and so many mushrooms.... so like the traditional fairy toadstools. In the summer, there are several areas for sitting out.Madeline proved very friendly and would do anything to please.
